The recommended block size for now is 3000 HYP. An average staking block weight is 6000.

Please, post your block sizes and a block weight, as a block of 1 HYP can stake forever.

Let's have a little input from the community:

Who's got the oldest block?Huh?

I'm looking at 25.5 days for one of my oldest blocks - who can beat me?

So I have a question and a possible issue. I've been staking HYP for over 1 week. The estimated time has come and go and I haven't received anything?!
Wallet address:  pDLU95MYUpybfHheJno65tmwUt96jxm17b

I have 1100 HYP in the wallet. It's unlocked and staking.

Now my wallet says estimated time to earn reward is 23 days?!?! WTF?

Is this a scam or an issue with my wallet?

Scam Huh did you read the thread from page 1 Huh?

Presstab did explain everything already Smiley

HYP is the most honest coin i have ever seen so far , we don't have to worry , we just need to stake , that's all Smiley

Diff is pretty low now, 0.49, and a block of 3000-3500 HYP will probably stake within 10th day time frame.

Getting harder and harder to stake these days. Some of my 1600 blocks have matured 14 days now. Might be time to increase the block sizes..

Hi sorry if this should be self explanatory. If I had say a few blocks of 1600 staking, then reached maturity on all and now they're each split up into two smaller blocks each, do I now need to utilize coin control again to put them back into blocks of 1600?

You have the option of doing that, but it isn't required. The advantage of doing it is that they will stake faster if they are bigger, the disadvantage is that you will destroy any age that has accumulated.

That's what I figured. Thanks!

There's some serious buy support on polo right now,
Around 500k of HYP over 700sat!

I've NEVER seen that kind of buy support on HYP before....  Is something brewing in the background? :-)

I am always brewing in the background waiting and watching for dumpers. Give me all of you HYP so I can climb to the top of the tree....well second branch anyway.

Honestly, I have picked up a decent load of coins from doing this.  And I got them cheap too, maybe 100k or more HYP for less than 250 sats each. I have been able to take advantage of the impatience of flash dumpers. There is a reason I am at the top of the rich list Smiley

The coins are held by that address, not sure why your wallet would not be showing them (assuming you are fully synced)?  I would try first backing up your wallet.dat, second using repairwallet button under tools, third start the wallet with the -rescan switch, fourth dumppriv key and then start a new wallet.dat and then use importprivkey to reload it.

Concerning value of the coin, please read this post https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8739190

OK, followed your advise & wallet seems to be working & I moved the remaining bits from the exchange to my wallet. Showing 1797 HYP. Also states now that next block matures in 20 hours.
Thank you. Is there a maximum limit to the number of coins which will be staked?

A stake reward is maxed out at 1000 HYP. But this is per stake, not per wallet. So try looking at your coin control dialog on the send tab. You will see the potential stake column, the hope is that you never see more than 1000 HYP on one of these blocks of coin, so that you can get full stake reward %.

Just to add, if everyone is staking, then how will the value of the coin go up??

You sent in 1000.99 on the 31st. This "block" of HYP staked today, the 9th. How staking works is that it takes your 1000 HYP and destroys it, and then replaces it with two equally sized blocks of HYP that include the reward. So in this case you were given two blocks of 592 (so a total stake reward of 184 HYP).

You sent 75 HYP to your wallet on the 1st. Staking is based on hashing, just like most cryptos, but instead of hash rate, coin weight is what determines how fast you will stake. Coin weight = coin block amount * days passed maturity. Since that block of 75 is relatively small, it will take much longer to stake.

Also realize that the time estimate is a static picture of how long it would take if your coin weight stayed as it is now.  So is not accurate over long periods of time.

Don't see anything in my wallet yet.
So on Poloniex I have something like 500 more coins sitting there. If I move them to my wallet then it will theoretically use all available coins for staking?
