On my example code in I forgot to account for the max weight @ 30 days.

New calculations are closer to this:

I don't get something, so in the block explorer http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/HYP/index.php there's a Stake weight spent. This means, how much weight each stake input had at the moment of reward, right ? Because if it means that, it looks like the vast majority of rewards are well below the average link, aprox at 100k weight or below. 20k blocks are at about 200k weight once they are matured, so isn't that a waste ? If it is, then a block of 5k or a bit less should be better. Or am I miscalculating something here ?

why the price jumped for 7 sat to 70 sat? and how can the price be stable with a huge pos rates and high coin circulated?

thanks.

The price jumped from 1 sat in march to 130 sat in june because of a new wave of investors' attention and lack of supply.
Those who were farseeing enough to buy millions at 1 sat aren't in a hurry to sell (and new holders are building up their balance for continuous staking). The price can be stable because of the same factors plus trading activity. When there is liquidity on both buy and sell sides, support and resistance are in effect. The PoS rate in the case of HyperStake isn't different from daily mining rewards of any PoW coin as it is fixed to the maximum of 1000 HYP per block.

thanks for the answer.
and how 1,000 HYP per block result 750% a year? if you put 20,000 HYP in a Block and get 1000 HYP in return its 5% every 8.8 days (lets round it to 9 days), so in a year 365/9*5%= 202%
Why have you done the math with a 20,000 block?. What about a 15,000, or a 10,000 block.?
In fact is much more complex than this. There are more limitations like only 1000 blocks are awarded per day, inflation control measures, etc.
I recommend you to read through the thread because the coin is very interesting. In fact, I think it was devised as an experiment.

I am working on refactoring the wallet calculator to suggest a good output size based on network statistics. It takes the last 1,000 blocks and finds the median weight. It then takes the amount you entered that you would like to split and sizes the blocks to be as close to the median weight as they can on day 15.

Feedback/suggestions?

I guess he calculated with 20k because that's what people recommend here and you can't calculate a stake reward every 9 days with 20k blocks, I don't think you can average that even with 100k blocks. The 750% is the maximum you can get with 1 stake but as the block explorer shows, the annual average is about 150%.

Actually, it jumped from 1 to 300 and stabilizing at around 70 in the last few months. The answer is simple. Real products, strong community development and the foresight of a long term vision.

There was no error message, simply I opened the wallet (maybe I opened it at 8.7 age and unlocked at 8.8 and that caused the problem ?), unlocked, on the bottom right it said with a warning label that it started staking but the icon in between the connections and whether wallet is encrypted/locked or not, simply said not minting. Now I have several inputs, some have age 9, some have only 7, the rest sub 3. I wonder, will I have to close and open wallet when the 7 turns to 8.8, and the 3 as well ? Or once it gets a reward and it ages again to maturity, how can you check if it's actually staking all inputs and not just a few ? I will screenshot any bug from now on but there's not much to SS without an error message. Maybe the debug helps more ?

No you only need to restart it if none of your inputs were over the age of 8.8. You hsould be fine now. Make sure the wallet is unlocked for staking, and that you are connected to peers.

just a quick question, 8.8 age passed, unlocked for PoS, it showed in the task bar that staking has begun but near the connections icon it says not minting, is that a gui mistake or it's really not staking ?

Restart your wallet.

Now it started, weird, I wonder why it didn't before, I added new nodes before I unlocked now, instantly found like 10 nodes, before that it was struggling to find a few, maybe it was that.

It would be great if you could attach a screenshot along with the bug report, it can really help to investigate the issue. Probably, you were doing something wrong. Also, try to follow the latest announcements of the dev, some of the concerns can be covered here.

There appears to be a bug in the wallet that will not activate staking after 8.8 days unless you restart your wallet after the coins have matured.

I am working on fixing this faulty logic for the upcoming wallet release and apologize for the inconvenience.
