Thanks, presstab. Good to know the details rather than wondering, wondering.    Wink

Version 1.1.2 has been running here for over 12 hours now, staking like a champ and no fuss from Kaspersky.

v1.1.1.3 isn't the latest version... https://github.com/hyperstake/HyperStake/releases

Thanks - I'll check it out. I try to keep up, but it looks like I missed something.

Edit: I probably got it from OP (first post) here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/hyp-hyperstake-generous-reward-staking-advanced-staking-controls-wallet-678849
It still says 1.1.1.3 atm: Version 1.1.1.3 : Windows, Mac, Raspberry Pi - https://github.com/hyperstake/HyperStake/releases/tag/v1.1.1.3

Edit: update - I've now grabbed version 1.1.2 from Fuzzbawls' link. Kaspersky found nothing to complain about in either the ZIP file or the qt executable. It is installed and running fine, in sync at block 684226 atm. End of story, I hope. I'll post here if Kaspersky pounces on it again, but so far so good.

I think OP of this thread needs an update to point to 1.1.2.

Thanks again, Fuzzbawls!

Looks like I left the old release on there accidentally. Sometimes I will leave it up until we get the new builds for all the different OS's.

Concerning the false positive. It was from the irc functionality that was included in many coins. Bitcoin used to find peers through irc channels, which is now a pointless endeavor as most of the coins have seednodes or at least some form of nodes posted somewhere. So I removed that code and the false positive disappeared.

For those running the latest Windows executable from the ZIP file (qt 1.1.1.3), Kaspersky reports finding trojan.msil.coinstealer.hv in it.

This is new behaviour from Kaspersky. It had started deleting the running client without explanation(!) a couple of weeks ago, but it detected nothing in its "scan for virus" mode. Now (today) it flags the alleged trojan by name.

Same for TEKcoin, fwiw. I'll post something in that thread too.

I've seen no harmful effects from this so far, but be careful out there.

I am not working on anything specific for the HYP code base at the moment. Everything seems to be running smooth on my daemons.

Anarchy is not chaos.
Bollocks !
Linux never gave me chicks I ended up with the usual geeky nerdy guys.  Sad
Which seems to be common for most ppl on Linux...

Can't say as I got any chicks with Linux either...

And in addition to dodging that bullet, I got an operating system that don't constantly fuck up my computer Cheesy

Though I have to admit that Skype for Windows is less annoying than skype for linux and android. The latter being an abortion.
