I believe it, because hypnosis can be used as an alternative of treatment, for example; people who have insomnia by visiting a therapist who uses hypnosis may be curable.

What an interesting topic! I've never been hypnotized, but I'd love to. I do not believe in hypnosis. I would like to try!

What do you think about hypnosis, have you ever been in a state of hypnosis or trance. And do you believe in all this? Who do you think is the best specialist in the field of hypnosis from now on?
I think hypnosis is a kind of a medical strategy used by psychiatrist to put patients in a trance. With this they can probe on long term memory or even probe those deep seated memory. It helps with patients undergoing post traumatic stress and also victims of war. It is helpful but there are some that use it for bad.

Not subject to hypnosis and thank God. This affects people who are very receptive and believe in all sorts of miracles. But it would be interesting and try yourself in this state to visit.

I kinda wish I could try it someday. The whole idea seems so crazy, hard to believe it's possible and actually works if done properly.

A hypnotist was once invited over to perform a mass hypnosis. I was in the audience and I was almost put on a trance if it wasn't for my friend, we kept nudging each other. I saw some weird stuff that day. People talking languages they barely know, describing events in their past like it was yesterday. So yeah i believe in that stuff.

I have never been hypnotized by a professional to cure some illnesses but It is pretty obvious that humankind are regularly being hypnotized by some evil forces. These evil forces wants to manipulate crowd of people by hypnotizing them with their guns like media, politicians etc. For that reason, all of us are being hypnotized non-stop.

Here in the philippines there are this group of people called "budol budol gang" who tries to hypnotist you and get all your money without you noticing it. The best part of this is that you will give the money whole heartedly. So yes i think its real.

Hypnosis can help me more relax and focusing. It works better on kids than adults.
I know a boy who is good at some sport, but he is super nervous in competition. After some hypnosis, he can more focus and more energy in the competition. His performance really improved a lot.

I never feel in state of hypnosis but I believe about hypnosis because I often see it on television  Smiley

Hypnosis is real because I've seen it before, more accurately I see it in person. When I was in school, there was a friend who was good at hypnotizing. He often displays his class hypnotism and it is very real. I've had a lot of friends trying to be hypnotized by him and it's always working.

People have been pondering and arguing over hypnosis for more than 200 years, but science has yet to fully explain how it actually happens. We see what a person does under hypnosis, but it isn't clear why he or she does it. This puzzle is really a small piece in a much bigger puzzle: how the human mind works. It's unlikely that scientists will arrive at a definitive explanation of the mind in the foreseeable future, so it's a good bet hypnosis will remain something of a mystery as well.

Hypnosis is real, though often over-exaggerated in media. There are personality nuances that make certain people more susceptible, e.g. gullibility, extroversion and superstition.

It's real in what sense? I think all hypnotism is actually hokum and I've seen no decent evidence that any of it is real. At most it's a placebo effect felt by gullible or easily suggestible people. Penn and Teller did an episode on it in their "Bullshit" TV series (which is an apt name for hypnosis). It used to be on youtube but seems to have been removed but I found it on Vimeo and  recommend people watch it (and the other episodes in the series if you can) https://vimeo.com/226521779

During hypnosis, a person is said to have heightened focus and concentration. The person can concentrate intensely on a specific thought or memory, while blocking out sources of distraction.[7] Hypnotised subjects are said to show an increased response to suggestions.[8] Hypnosis is usually induced by a procedure known as a hypnotic induction involving a series of preliminary instructions and suggestion. The use of hypnotism for therapeutic purposes is referred to as "hypnotherapy", while its use as a form of entertainment for an audience is known as "stage hypnosis". Stage hypnosis is often performed by mentalists practicing the art form of mentalism.

I think this "hypnotherapy" thing was a big misconception and has proven to be ineffective.
Hypnosis is way to induce thoughts and not the other way around.
Basically what the patient is saying are all just thoughts that were consciously or unconsciously induced.
Although it would've been extremely beneficial if hypnotherapy were proven effective.

Of course, hypnosis is real. There are such methods of psychotherapy. Here it is appropriate, I do not see other worthy applications.

personally, I don't fully believe in the "state of hypnosis or trance", maybe I would get a little sleepy, but I don't think a person can command Me of what He/She wants me to do. I guess it is up to us human beings, whether we let oursleves be tricked by the words of the specialist. If we let ourselves be persuaded by the words of the specialist then We don't have our own will. For me it is mentally impossible to let other people control of Our actions. So for me, I think Hypnosis that can control the humans actions is fake.

I do not know anyone who was hypnotized. But human brain is an extremely complicated machine. If it helps to cure diseases, addictions, deviations, why not?
