Hey ShiftKeyBroken, although I am fairly new here, Im not brand new and have been scouring the threads for a loan option, and thought maybe with you being new and needing to establish business and my being new and needing to establish credit history we couod work together and be of a mutual benefit to each other.

I am looking for .1 loan for what should only be 21 days.  For collateral I could give my account details for my AmEx BB, my XDA-Developers Senior Account, or perhaps another of your choosing.

I am opening a digital marketing business which is where some of the loan will go.  I am a freelance writer and also do myriad side jobs for my church people.

I appreciate you considering my request and hope to hear from you.

invalid collateral. i only take altcoins, physical goods or cash

Hey ShiftKeyBroken, Im also newbie. I've just tried to private message you but your message settings can't allow messages from newbies. Could you kindly pm me and connect for a chat. Thanks

let's talk in the open, that's how i'd prefer loans to be discussed anyway.
Sure, no problem. How i actually got to land on your post; I googled the phrase 'i lend bitcoin'  and the last 24 hour results landed me here this the reason you see I'm very very new here.
Now, my need is a 5 cents BTC 30 day loan but I don'thave collateral. So I had thought having you know the person could help. Thanks.

post your address, i'll send you five cents. for next time, be sure to have valid altcoin or cash collateral before posting.
Many thanks, I will certainly be more capable and organised in that regard. Here is my address:

your misinformation is coming from the fact that you think escrow fee == lending fee.

This is incorrect. I do not think escrow fee == lending fee. My last post should have adequately explained my misunderstanding, in which I thought you were referencing a 1% escrow fee.

I was simply saying that your clients will have to accrue a lending fee + escrow fee. It is nice to see you lowering your interest rate once you notice another member is doing it for less, but again why would anybody choose you over Zazarb if your rates are the same? You have to offer something unique and useful to your clients or they will go elsewhere, for the same fee or less without the hassle and fees of escrows.

I made a mistake in the math, but I understand lending perfectly well and the principal/key issue still remains.

i am aware that condoras does free escrow services.

also, i'll settle at a -0.1% match. eg. if the cheapest is 0.3% then i will do 0.2%. i am counting escrow fees to be negligible as they usually are, and condoras does it for free (as people should)

i take 110-120% collateral in altcoins and if the collateral dips to 105% of principle loan + interest then i will sell the collateral and you can keep the loan

Does this mean that you're keeping the 5% additional profit that came from selling the collateral at 105% of principle + interest?

105% is a safety figure (in case the altcoin is volatile and it crashes too fast to meet my order at 100% or something). all btc i get by the sale of the collateral will be kept by me, unless the borrower wishes to top up more collateral earlier on

1% a day is extremely overpriced for an escrow. Not sure how you're doing your math, it doesn't make much sense at all.
Take it easy on me, because you are right, I haven't used an escrow since Master-P became a scammer so I was coming in a bit uninformed on certain things. I haven't taken a peek at the escrow rates, I was being flippant a facetious during my demonstration. I was trying to say, that in principal OP would have to offer negative interest, rather than collecting interest, in order to compete with other lenders especially if he plans on having his clients supply the escrow fee while "matching" the rate of other lenders.

i see that most people are charging over 1% per day. i am charging 0.5% per day. now if a user wants to take advantage of the cheap rate, they will have to pay the escrow fee.

I was basing my 1% off of this post, just ran with it as a baseline for the conversation. Wasn't at all trying to be perfectly accurate with my numbers, just the principal behind them. I see now that they are referring to lending rates, not escrow rates, but I got my wires tied up. My math might be way off, but my principal argument remains, unless escrow rates are so low that they would be negligible.

thank you zazarb, for chiming in. i am officially reducing my fee to 0.3%.

as for escrow, i know many trusted members who do free escrow here, and even if they don't the fee is very minimal. we can work that all out, i in no circumstance will expect you to go first on a deal with me.
