Never give up. You have invested, now you have the choice to give up and sell or suffer and in 2019 to make money on it. There was a collapse, but it's temporary. If everyone starts selling, the rate will only fall.

hopefully what you predict is correct, but my view of why ethereum fell at this time was the impact of a market that was getting worse , so when the bull run season arrived I was sure ethereum would come back to the peak

That's not really the main reason why the price of ethereum went dip down, I think the reason is because there is less demand for ethereum at the moment, recall the time when ICO was booming and every day one ICO is ongoing, back then there was high demand for ethereum and it made the price of ethereum to go down, now we are in bear market, much ICO is not happening at the moment and there is no much demand for ethereum any more, that's explain why the price went down.
