You could be right.  Could drop even lower.  I watched bitcoin rise to $1 (when I was getting more than 10 a day mining with video cards), drop from $30, rise to a bunch more, drop, rise to over $1200 then oscillate to where it is now. Was fun to give a dozen coins to family and friends when they were worth $100 and see them ask if I wanted some back when they rose to $1200.  I think it will rise again.  I will HODL.

All the reasons that brought the price from 0 to 1200$ are here and more.

0 to 1200$ and now 320$. I wanted to emphasized that the price is relatively high compared to the age of the technology and the fact it started at 0.

Yes some people tend to miss this and take the price out of context. When one looks at the price only going from $1200 to $320 they think..."wow what a fail".

But then another person looks at where bitcoin originated and says "wow bitcoin went from $0 to $320? damn that's crazy and awesome!"

Two different context/perspectives that sometimes users here and media like to use to make their point, whatever that may be.

Yep.  Far right, Chef R. -- no contest!  The panic in the speculation sub-forum right now is indicative of a huge imminent run-up.  I have lurked here since the end of 2010 and that seems to be the pattern IMHO.

It could go down to 270 or even 240$ before it moves up to much higher.

60minutes and 60seconds : not sure why :

Because the Babylonians counted in base 60.  No joke.  They were there first in astronomy, and they divided the heavens with units denominated in base-60.

For them, this *WAS* the metric system.

base60 is where it is at ... prime divisors 1,2,3,4,5,6,10,12,15,20,30, and it is three sets of total human digits.

Indeed, patience is definitely a virtue.  For now, we're neither wealthy nor elite nor wealthy elite nor gentleman.

Pretty sure this is where we stand:

Considering the party goers, I'll take the one on the far right. Cigarettes and beer sounds fun afterall. I'd have to break out some clear liquor to even deal with the rest of the crowd. That said, patience is a virtue and only those with brass cajones or the like can hold during a wave of simpletons calling for the end of bitcoin in every other post during a despair/desperation period.

I am not very 'wealthy' or 'elite' these days, but the future could still be bright. Set exciting goals and never give up.   Smiley

Having 20-50BTC will be enough to feel like you made a good investment when the price will jump. It obviously all depends on your standard of livings but tens of BTC will be enough to feel good if you are middle class in a first world country Wink

Having 20-50 BTC is huge. In future new people hearing about Bitcoin will ook in awe at those who has this amount.
Bitcoin has barely started, its still the early days.

the sooner items are priced and traded for mbits the better imo

This thread is going to be around for ever, but I really do believe that one day this thread will coem true for many of us here. As others have said, just have patience and enjoy the wild ride in the meantime.

People who rode the early waves were buying champagne and Lamborghinis this time last year......

I made a lot myself  but I also think there is a lot potential still unrealised  so there is still ...... Imo a lot more to be made Smiley

If we are patient
