when I looked at the gas content in my ERC 20 wallet it was not enough to send the alt I had to the exchange, because the gas fee were very high.
do you have a cheaper way to send tokens ??

share your opinion ,,please
You can try at different times or at times when the network is not much congested and if you get that time you will see that gas price will be low and you will be able to transact for less. I do realize that the time is tough for token traders but hopefully good news will soon be here regarding scalability issues as eth 2.0 implementation at network level will commence soon.

There are second layer options available in the market that many people use but obviously they are not for everyone and not all coins or tokens can be wrapped so the only viable solution is the launch of full scale eth 2.0 with sharding and update of token model and launch of sharding.
Wait for start Ethereum 2.0 Phase 2  Grin
OP, seriously though, the best option is to wait for Sunday evening. Traders are resting and the price of gas drops to 60-70 gwei. You have no other options, and if the commission with such a gas price per transaction seems expensive to you, then it remains to wait for Ethereum 2.0 Phase 2.
Some people write about solutions 2 level, but they do not understand that before using it, these tokens need to be sent to the address of the project's smart contract. You will still pay commission on the Ethereum network

Unfortunately we are all experiencing this difficulty on Ethereum network right now and there is nothing anyone can do about it, not even Ethereum CEO himself, the only way to send your tokens is to add more ETH to your wallet balance, sorry for the inconvenient

Ethereum is now more profitable to trade than to make transfers. But it upsets me even more that tokens on the Ethereum platform have exactly the same problem. For example, the difference in Tether fees on ERC-20 and TRC-20 is just gigantic. Well, it seems that a new patch will be released soon, which, according to the developers, should fix the situation.

You just better get yourself notified into the latest status of the gas fee to better know on which perfect time you can do transactions because right now, there is no desirable way on how you can transact cheap now that the gas fee is surging expensive. If the transaction you wish to be done is not that important for now, better wait for awhile until the price decreases a little bit that will suit your budget and not that heavy to be affordable. We have nothing to do as for now for we are not in control of the price changes. We just need to wait for a little bit until it lower down compared to the expensive price it have right now.

I believe there is no other cheaper way to send your Altcoins If you have ERC-20 based coins you have to pay a Gas fee to transfer your coins from one place to another. Keep more valued Eth in your wallet to transfer the coins or wait when the Gas fee will be drop then only you can transfer.

I also want to sell some of my alt-coin but it is also my problem with the high transaction fee I couldn't send my alt-coin right now.
I don't think there are other ways to send my friend also tried sending with lower gas fee but the transaction just got declined.

There are several altcoins with very low postage such as Trx and Waves. I have used these two altcoins for shipping costs and I also have some small erc20 tokens but I can't use them because the eth gas costs are very high and not worth the selling value of the tokens I have, so can only wait for eth gas down.

You have 2 choices right now when you want to transfer ERC20 tokens from one into another.

1. Not to exchange at all.
2. Close your eyes while clicking the Confirm Button and think that nothing happened Cheesy.

Right now, ETH gas fees are very high that people who are transferring small amounts can't afford it. Right now it is $5.84 on Etherscan and still it is very high if you will ask those small traders out there. If you are transferring small amounts though, it would be better if you will just wait for the fees of ETH to go down but I doubt that it will happen. Your choice Smiley.

The real problem for ETH, high gas fees. Theres nothing you can really do. ETH is a good hold right now seeing its move on the cryptomarket. Its volume sure is still moving up considering the DeFi and ETH 2.0 launch. Dont get all confused about it.

There is no way to send the transaction until the gas price comes down, it is more of demand and supply. Few they ago I want to transaction on UNIswap and the fee was $90, I just need to wait till the price come down to $30 range. I just hope some of these developers see this as a big issue if they really want adoption

What I experienced was that every gas we had to spend to send tokens was different..
my way so that it doesn't always fail, I see how many of these token transactions have been successfully delivered.

It is annoying that Ethereum transaction fees are currently high, especially since the Ethereum price is also being pumped. So it requires quite a lot of  gas fees if you want to send tokens to the exchanges from the ERC20 wallet. So there is no other way but to be patient and wait until the gas fees fall  back down.
This is a problem that many people complain about, the only solution is that you have to wait for the right time when the gas fees go down and then you swap use uniswap or send it to exchange, after that if you want to hold tokens I suggest you only hold tokens from the TRC20 network or BSC network, because of the fees of both networks it's very cheap.

the number of tokens we want to move is not too many, it is better not to move them from the ERC20 wallet first.

It can't be stop, so instead of complaining about the fee if you earn high like 1000$ profit then gas fee 20$ you still get 980$.
This is the cycle of the cryptocurrency dude. So, my motivation is trade and trade then when the price dump I will buy the dip just like a simple thing rolling capital.

There are only two ways to make gas costs cheap, first you have to monitor the cost of ETH gas at any time, because there is a situation when gas costs suddenly become cheaper, and when that happens you can make transactions.
and secondly you only need to hold a token from the TRON network, because the TRON network transaction fees are very cheap. Even in the case of USDT the transaction fee is 0.

Im also prefer TRC20 over ERC20, the high gas fee issue is not worth anymore.
Even ETH 2.0 which will come, i dont think they can solve this issue since the Ethereum Blockchain is really busy at this moment.

Is that token you're about to send worth to be used with high gas fees? if there's no volume for that token, you shouldn't effort sending that elsewhere just to save time and fees as well. But if you have to and there's quite sum of money you'll get upon the transfer, always be prepared and check: https://ethgasstation.info/
To calculate the fees, I think 146 gwei is quite lower at this time unlike 200+ that I've seen last few days ago.

thats what am thinking here. is it worth to pay high gas fees for the token that he needs to get out? because if not, better wait for the timing that eth network is not so busy. but if he can't wait, then he can always send more eth to his wallet. that is, if he is willing to pay the high gas fees.
He didn't replied to this thread and he hadn't been online since yesterday. If the few is unacceptable, they always have the choice not to choose to pay the recommended.
You're right that they can wait until the network becomes lite and can pay the fees that it shows at the cheapest that it can.
