I am a 47 year old person, about 10 days ago I created a topic, namely: can a 47 year old person invest in bitcoin?

and today i feel happy because i look at the market and when i see the price of bitcoin it turns out that there is a good increase in price. and at that time I bought it at a price range of 17000 and now I see a price range of 20000.
and I feel happy because I haven't look at the market in a long time, suddenly the price of bitcoin has gone up, and the most meritorious thing that made me invest is because of my friends in this forum who give me encouragement and support.

and I want to thank you all.

and at the same time I have advice for people who are the same age as me or older than me, don't give up investing because of age, because age is God's secret.

bitcointalk.org is a good and useful discussion forum.

Well, that's very intriguing. If you invest in cryptocurrencies for a long enough period of time, you must also have the mentality to take a risk with them. Some people think that investing in bitcoin is a bad idea because it didn't work out as their plan to make money. While investing in bitcoin can occasionally make you happy, it almost always makes you unhappy. We constantly wish for better times.

Everyone who is making profit or wins money is always happy, the reason is because winning is not easy, and it might be that before they won that particular time, they might have lost so many countless times, therefore, when they win,it triggers them to be happy.
When trading yields greater result is enough reason to be joyous of,because some persons have lost countless times, and they are still trading, knowing fully well that the game of trading is like gambling, you will always want to regain the one they taken from you.And finally when you win, there is every tendency that you will be very happy and excited.

Good one for not bothering about your age and adapting to the changes in the society, you need to be very happy because it is like a dream come true to you. When I just got my first bitcoin I was happy, you shouldn't get carried away with this little increase in price as it is just temporary. Keep investing more and keep your coin for a long term, then you will not only be happy but also dancing towards your generated profit. Hope you bitcoin is not in any exchange but in your custody,or else you will be a sad man someday

I hope you would have still felt happy should the price of Bitcoin had gone more bearish from the very price you at which you invested and not cast blame on your friends from their encouraging to invest? Cause volatility in the market is unpredictable and non controllable by anyone. Am convinced your friends must have also told you the bitter side of crypto the journey is not always rosy as it requires patient, carefulness and strategy to stay on board.

Outside of what topic is about, but I hope you have put your BTC in self custodial wallet and not on an exchange especially if you are hodling for long term.

Electrum and mycelium are community recommendations and also having active boards[1][2] where you can put up your questions.

I'm happy for you sir and it's nice seeing people making it no matter how little the win might be, what matters is that there is a win, but I also want you to understand that when you hear about volatility of Bitcoin, it simply means that just as there is a rise now, there could be a massive drop as well and if you ever get the time.to look at the charts, try looking at it from the very long term view and act in accordance because these charts really go a long way to determine the movement of the prices of Bitcoin.
I will advise that you try to take some of the profits so when the price suddenly falls, you would have still been in profit.

You made the right decision because you dared to buy when the bitcoin price was at the $17k level at that time many people thought the bitcoin price would drop again past that level but you have made good use of the momentum, congratulations you have managed to get your first profit with bitcoin if you planning to sell it now for $21k.
It's never too late to invest in bitcoin because so far bitcoin has been proven to be able to provide greater returns, especially for those who invest in the long term.

Congratulations, you have made the right decision when investing in bitcoin; you see, age is not an obstacle for you to invest in bitcoin. But I want to remind you, I know you are feeling very happy and excited as your investment is growing rapidly, I don't want to ruin your feelings, but you need to calm down. Don't rest on your laurels, the market is not as simple as you think, you need to prepare yourself for the corrections of bitcoin, it is very unpredictable, bitcoin may drop afterward.

OP, age does not limit someone to invest and Bitcoin also does not set a certain age for everyone to invest. So there is no problem with age as long as you are able to invest very well, especially if the investment is in Bitcoin.

It doesn't matter if you do something good just because your friends encourage you and make you motivated by them, but remember that you have to take the risk yourself if you experience a loss and you don't have to blame them because the losses and profits are also not determined by your friends. Even though at this moment you are very happy.

Profits in investing are also very confidential and not even everyone will know when he will be profitable and when he will suffer losses, but if that is your suggestion I really support it because I also invest in Bitcoin although I haven't advised this to many people except only people in this forum.

That's how the market is. Sometimes it turns greener after a long period of a bearish market to make you forget when the market is bad. It is a good thing that the market is returning to normal at the price it was before the FXT exchange commotion but don't be over-excited about the price increase cos we don't know whether it struck back to its previous price of $17k or not. The best thing for you to do at this time is not to focus on the price of bitcoin since you have a long-term investment plan
Ofcourse everyone who sees that he is on the winning side will be happy  and excited because it is not? Easy winning or having a greener chart. There must be times when one will laugh and merry because of the profit be has had in his transaction. We all know trading involves a lot of risk, and it takes only somebody who have studied, made research and made enquiry about the market and how it operates to be able  be on the winning side.
Trading can in the other way round bring sadness because of a loss in the market.

...and it suddenly triggered you in ecstasy? Hmmm...Well, it's fine to be happy for such a little ( to me cus it fell from its peak), or big difference between the actual price and the current one... I ain't wishing you bad dear, but Don't forget that the same arm that faces down in a clock normally turns to face up and goes DOWN again...
If you're HODLing BTC, you need to get into the understanding that the market isn't controlled by whatsoever MUCH you acquired..lol. you seriously need to watch out cus we've got rules for HODLing our there.

Happy for you dear, yes age is just a number for bitcoin investment. Also, you are only 47 now, I don't see anything that will block you from enjoying that huge return after a long term investment. I am confident when I say huge return for a long term investment.

Such emotions are perfectly normal when investing. It is difficult to resist the urge to check the price and to not feel excited or dismayed when the price goes up and comes down respectively.

OP has no intention to check the price and get emotional, he is not in his twenties, he is a grown man enjoying the last years of his forties. When a grown man like him say anything they mean it.

Congrat to you, I saw the last thread you created and am happy you listened to people's advice. The market have been green recently, Bitcoin is currently in $21k, am sure you are currently in profit already, but in crypto anything is possible, don't expect market to be in your favor always, incase if market goes against you, don't be discouraged you should use the opportunity to accumulate more bitcoin if you are having money that you won't be using for that moment.

you are off to a great start with your first Bitcoin holdings. but you probably already know, the situation might be different when the market is trending down. will you still look happy even though your assets have decreased, or maybe you can just walk out of the market with distrust of Bitcoin? that's the response mostly made by some who are new to the market. but you are lucky because you saw the pump at the beginning of your investment. keep your health.

Great news! Your investment did well! I'm happy for you. It's not always easy to invest, but it's good to have a supportive community to share our thoughts and ideas. But, sometimes, our investments don't do as well as we'd hoped. Many times they even lose money. Well, it's important to remember that investing is part art and part science. There are some things we can control and some things that are out of our hands.

Good luck with your investments!

You should also feel lucky, because most people I know enter with an immediate unrealized loss. Nobody expected a ~15% increase in price (probably due to inflation going better than expected in the USA), but here we are in crazy Bitcoin land.

If that made you happy, hold on for a decade, and you'll be the happiest person alive.  Tongue

If price increases make you happy, a drop in price will make you sad. Even after 7 years in Bitcoin, it still gets to be once in a while.
But then I remember that HODLing paid off so far and I'll keep doing it.
