Attempt to reverse the wire transfer at your bank. If this does not work, go here:

To mix tape man...I used cash to transfer and it was on 8/27 so I don't know if My bank could reverse charges at this point  Huh

Call your bank ASAP and stop messing around on the forums or trying to reason with a known scammer. Good luck, and please let us know what happens.

Speak to your bank.  They should be able to reverse the transaction.

I am not sure about the US, but in the UK we have a small claims court where you can take someone who owes less than £5k.  You can use a solicitor if you want but cannot recover legal costs, so most people dont bother.  You present your case to the judge and he can make the other party pay up.  You may have something similar.

I have called the 6465800044 number many times and have only been able to leave messages.  I live in CA so going to him isn't feasible.  Could you really go to his office?  I just hate losing so much money and not hearing anything from him.  I feel so powerless...  Let me know.  I would appreciate resolving this situation in some way.  I will make sure to do my due diligence in the future.  Thanks!

His cell: 646-580-0022

Let me know if you need anything else

Is it possible to file fraud charges against him through your bank and have them reverse the transaction?

Bruce Wagner is a pedophile con man. He was run off the forums about a year ago after another forum (somethingawful) dug up a bunch of info on a real estate scam he was running (amongst other things).

Sorry to tell you this, but your chance of getting your money back is slim to none.

In the future, id reccommend using an established exchange (like mtgox) to purchase btc. Be sure to do your due dilligence before purchasing from anyone, including the exchanges. Bitcoin is still pretty much the wild west, and there are a lot of opportunities to get scanned, unfortunately.

I don't know what to do.  I am pretty new to the bit coin community and didn't do my due diligence by reading up on Bruce before my most recent transaction with him.  I had successfully transferred money to Bruce twice in the past, and received my bit coins oftentimes the same day.  On August 27th, I transferred $951.21 to Bruce's account through my bank and have yet to receive my bit coins.  I have tried to get in touch with him by email, phone messages, and texts.  The only word I have heard from him was after I sent my picture of the bank receipt through text.  He said that he didn't get the picture.  I have resent the picture a number of times to no avail.  I am at a loss of what to do next.  I know I deserve some blame for being naive about the situation but losing close to a grand really sucks.  Can anyone help me with what I should do next?  Please help!
