I wouldn't sell anything. That's true. My advice is to wait six months,a year, to observe the course. Then make a more informed decision.

Bitcoin has not reached its best price, it's hard to dream about last December, but I'm sure bitcoin has a great place to grow.

It seems to me that it is worth investing a few coins in altcoins (choose good and promising altcoins), and you should keep half of your coins In the long term.

I hope that you managed to sell your coins at a high price. It seems to me that soon you will have a good chance to buy btc very cheaply.

for the current period 12 btc has a small value because currently bitcoin has a significant price decline. you can hold the coin and when the high price you sell and make 12 btc as a capital for trading and buy altcoin that has good potential.

This is very good when there are 12 bitcoins, if they still exist, they can be kept at least until the end of the year!

In your place, I probably would not do anything, because it seems to me that now it is better not to use your BTC for trading purposes, because the market is constantly falling and the chances of losing the deposit are high.

What you can do is invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin. With that much BTC I would invest at least some of it in altcoins and trade them.
I would recommend you use 1btc to buy Qurrex then hold everything till december and see how it pans out

Crypto market is so up and down lately, sometimes I feel like if I had as many as 12 bitcoins I'd just cash out and hold on to the money or reinvest into something a bit more stable.  Depends on how much you have invested into other assets already, or saved up.  I don't think it's a good time to be all-in on crypto.

I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least.

My question is, what do I do now?

As far as I can see, I have 4 options;

1) Hold the Bitcoin

2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin

3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.

4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)

You are an intelligent and correct speculator (in the good sense of the word). Do not you have to ask the question - what to do, namely you can teach many not to be mistaken in choosing the direction of investment.

If I have 12 bitcoins, then I will diversify into several investment fields. With very high bitcoin prices, I think I only need a little bit of bitcoin to be distributed in several investment fields. So I still prioritize more numbers to stay on bitcoin and I will hold it until it increases significantly. I will invest the coins I took from bitcoin into several potential altcoins and also into real estate investments.

If you don't need money now, the best thing to do is HOLD them. Selling them will make you lose your investment. We are just entering into bullish market. High hopes and expetations lingering with the investors.

Patience is a virtue.

These coins had to be sold at a high price to buy today at a very low price. But it's pointless to talk about it. I think that at the moment you should just keep your coins.

They say you should only hold a quarter of your portfolio in any asset, whether it's fiat based or crypto like Bitcoin. If you hold more, you open yourself up to major risks from fluctuating market conditions. And there is no market these days more volatile than crypto, period. I say diversify according to your taste, then do like me and gamble online like a mad man possessed!! JK, that's what I do, but you do you. Enjoy your life, it's very, very short and you don't get another one. Like Bob Marley said, "If you know what life is worth, you will look for yours on earth". Live by those words and you'll never go wrong. Hedge risk and live life while you can. No one else can do it for you. Get out there and enjoy your hard work that you put into making twelve bitcoins. Assuming that your story is authentic, you had to work hard to earn twelve bitcoins in a short amount of time. And trust me, no one gets lucky all the time. We make our own luck by studying markets and learning from other people who've had success. Luck is for people who believe in unicorns.

I have 5 bitcoin right now.  What I'm doing is buying in to my favorite alt coins at every 50 billion dollar drop.  This way I will always have ammo to buy (all the way to market cap zero).  Hopefully with a little luck I can fill all my bags and either wait for the block chain and crypto to go away (the govt is pimping so i doubt this will happen) or you get huge payouts if you pick the correct project.  Seems a simple choice.

If what you're saying is true (I personally don't believe it because of the lack of evidence) then why don't you follow what you're doing? You had 0.01 btc and $1,000 and turned it into almost 20k, lol you should be a millionaire now, keep doing what you're doing and surely it will generate more income than any option we give you, there's no point in coming here to ask... unless it's just to brag.

This year is not the right time to sell because from the beginning of this year, the market value of not only bitcoin but most of the cryptos, comtinuously fell. Selling at this point would result to loss of profit . Therefore, holding until the market again increase, is more practical and is having a higher chance to result into profit. Be patient for now and wait for recovery to take place also, avoid panic selling.

a large amount for you to have if it reaches 12 bitcoins. maybe you have to hold your coins in large numbers and this is useful for stabilizing prices. so I think this is a distinct advantage and maybe I think it would be nice if you sell a few btc to invest in the altcoin and to make a profit.
