for sure, i will choose another altcoins with better potential my friend
because a lot of issue come to xrp and litecoin is good enough but for me this alt is to slow
so, its better to drop your money to bnb or cardano if you already have ethereum in your portofolio

I will suggest you to invest on litecoin. It is one of the promising crypto currency and it is well known also. Try to avoid ripple and hopefully you will be able to make money from litecoin. Besides you can invest on some good altcoin if you want to earn more profit.

Why only these two? There lots of other potential altcoins for getting quick profit, while ripple or litecoin both are slow in growth. You're holding a smart amount so pick at least 10+ projects. Since it's bullish market you will make good money by picking DOT, BNB.
It looks like OP was a believer in the major coins but i do agree with your opinion and there must be additional assets to be used as another choice. Litecoin is having slow development progress while ripple still stuck with its legal battle with SEC. I will not even pick one from these coins.
I think that it's better if OP will try to choose a coin like AVAX or some coins below top 10 CMC. DOT and BNB already overvalued at this moment dude.

If you have $5k to invest, you shouldn't buy Ripple or Litecoin, Just buy BTC in the current price $57k, and wait until it hits $65k then just sell it,
if you wanna short-term trading, don't choose Ripple or Litecoin, every traders said that both of them are really hit the bottom these days, so it's not gonna be
a wise choice if you have 5k and wanna invest in both of those coin.
well, the choice is yours, i hope that you can earn many profit in your decision, cheers !

From the perspective and opinion of this thread myself, I can conclude that many doubted XRP after the FUD incident last year. Until now, other Cipto preferences have been used as a benchmark for investment.
indeed for now many people choose other altcoins that are fundamentally good and do not experience problems with the law. so I also think that you can choose LTC as your investment preference

If you do care about the fuds and you are aiming to invest with long term perceptions,

keeping LTC is one good deceiison as this coin are moving along with Bitcoin trend, while

with XRP with such fuds and an ongoing case from SEC, the future is hard to predict, better

to look for another or if you have that spare and you are willing to take the ride, taking it

for short to mid investment might bring you results that you are aiming.

i suggest the OP to hold a good coins for long term such as ethereum, cardano or BNB including litecoin
because in crypto we need to be patience if we want to get a good profit from our investment, wich long term hodl is better

A lot of people saying litecoin isn't a good coin to invest in right now, most are traders and litecoin isn't a daily trade type coin.  You won't lose your stack in one dump like some of the other "popular" alts right now.  Ypu should have some long term coins in your portfolio too and LTC isn't a bad choice.

because what he thinks right now is the best altcoin that could be the two coins, even though you might ask why only two, even though we know today, there are many potential altcoins that can be used as investment.

I agree, if you have large funds, you will certainly choose potential altcoins, which are now quite a lot even touching ATH. but if the funds are not clear, only a few are in accordance with the amount of funds available and can get a large amount, then an inexpensive price will be chosen but the marketcap is very good.

if the funds are large enough, you can choose BNB, DOT, LTC, LINK, but if there are not many funds, it is clear that XRP, XLM, ADA can also be used as options for investment. now is when altcoins are increasing so there is no need to be afraid to invest altcoin.

I'll go with Ripple(XRP) if i were you because the potential is really high and even that there is a Case on going yet the performance is unpredictable .

I'll go for Ripple.

Litecoin is not getting any near to the top rank again ,

I’d have to say none of the choices, XRP has a lot of issues and Litecoin is not a good coin to invest in too. I’d rather invest in probably BCH or DGB instead, for long term hodling.

That's true and lawsuit of SEC on XRP might be solved soon. But previous co-founder of Ripple is now selling of his parts and that's why XRP can't pump for the selling preasure. BCH community divided after some years which isn't good for the hodlers and it might pump as long as bitcoin is on the bullish rally. BTW, is there any good news regarding DigiByte as it's only half way to make a new ATH? TBH, alts are good for now and profit out whenever we're on profit instead of hodling.

As for Ripple, I fully agree with you, because the SEC case has kept the coin completely in place and made investing in it a big risk. However, when it comes to Litecoin, I wouldn't say its price increase is slow. During the year, it increased by 300%, it may not be the rate of DOT or BNB, but the stability of growth is also important for investors, not only pump and dump.

Temporary forum vacation
I think the problem with these two major coins right now is that their value is undervalued compared to the present. In the case of XRP it is exceptional because it has many other side issues, I think LTC will be bullish again soon, but honestly these are not my preferences for this market. I do not spend too much time learning or analyzing everything, I only care about the things I like, my favorite altcoins right now are DOT and ADA.

I would never compare Litecoin and XRP together to other coins and say they are both undervalued. Litecoin perhaps yes,,, but utility cannot compare to Bitcoin as a payment, but fine, there are people who use it.

XRP? Tell me one person you know who pays with Ripple for pizza or even things on this forum.

DOT and ADA even less!

If you claim that BCH is better for investing than Litecoin, then I'm afraid you probably have no idea about these coins. This is not a BCH thread, so I'll just skip the criticism. There are coins that I think have more potential than Litecoin, but it's definitely not BCH. Answering this thread's question, I would definitely choose Litecoin from between XRP and LTC.

First of all, this depends on how much risk you will be able to bear with $5000.

The ROI in the crypto market is definitely greater than the traditional stock market this year. Considering the key factors of each bull market in the past, we’ve seen that Bitcoin always leads the rise of other cryptocurrencies, and continues to rise after breaking its previous high, the remaining mainstream cryptocurrencies follow the Bitcoin bull together.

Compared to other non-mainstream cryptocurrencies, since Bitcoin has already led the rise for a long period of time, the growth potential of BTC in the future is relatively small.

The potential rewards ranked by ATH indicator are as follow:

XRP ( 712.98% ) >LTC ( 106.49% )

If we only consider the top 10 mainstream cryptocurrencies, the ranking would be:

BCH > XRP > XLM > LTC > LINK > BNB > ADA > DOT > ETH > BTC

100 zillion percent litecoin if those are your 2 choices.  Xrp is going to be riddled with legal issues and the fact that there is a core group who own most of the ripple coins.  What happens if they bail?? Will the demand be able to absorb it.  Litecoin is a nice safe play and historically speaking the price is definately right.  I can see litecoin hitting .005-.0075 which is nice push from here.

Because of their issue with SEC, they are not a good and safe choice, but if that issue is not existing I could pick Ripple easily, Ripple could have reached $1 to $5 if not for the SEC issues if you have an appetite for high-risk investment, pick Ripple it's a better choice than a new coin if only I can figure out if they can win their case I will buy because if the court favors them they will have a huge pump, the biggest pump ever.
They do have that issue, it is not like we can rewind time and remove all of that problem and get rid of SEC and invest afterwards, it is always there and we can't change that. Which is why XRP is not a good coin to invest. If someone wants to invest 5k into something, I would say invest into 5 things, that way you could invest into good projects, however if you "do not want to hold" that will be a bad idea and you will lose money, it is like the riskiest thing in all of crypto, if you can't wait that means you can't profit and you will be losing a lot of money.

I personally feel like you should pick 5 good coins that has no issues and wait few years in order to make a good amount of return, otherwise there is really nothing you could do to make profit in few weeks alone, that is not an option, it would be very risky and you will probably lose money because of that risk.

Why did you choose $5000 for XRP or LTC, I prefer LTC because I am also thinking about the possibility of XRP in this market? But it makes more sense to use $5000 to invest in btc, eth, dot, bnb ... that's my opinion because these coins are more profitable than LTC or XRP.

If i were you, if i wanna invest $5k, i will invest in :

1.BTC
2.ETH
3.ARPA

why?
because Bitcoin is already in higest values in cryptocurrencies and also is the world most popular coin for its maket volume, so we don't need to worry about it for a long term investment, all of them has the project has a full trust of users and very promising future.
ARPA itself already increasing 50% just in this past 7days, so why wait?
