Solidarity is not possible, because looking back at the world situation see war conflict violence and political instability.
So what reason for them to unite here, it's because bitcoin sounds so funny.
They have control, but not all, and in this space, prohibition is pointless and often counterproductive.

I get to be thinking what about all the government of the world unite and decide to stop bitcoin and cryptocurrency ?  Grin

I have wondered if this is possible to happen despite bitcoin being decentralized. Within me, I don't think that is no more possible because bitcoin is now unstoppable. Just like water is to the fish, bitcoin is the light of the earth.

What do you say yourself ?

There is absolutely no way possible for bitcoin to be stopped even if all the governments of the world come together. Bitcoin is decentralized and this means that it is totally out of the control of government and banks.
If developed countries like the US and Britain cannot stop stop bitcoin, then it shows that bitcoin cannot be stopped. Even in Nigeria where bitcoin was banned, the ban did not stop its citizens from using bitcoin.
Just the like the user above me mentioned, bitcoin will always be here because the internet is always here

Countries with strong economies like China and America alone cannot stop Bitcoin, this is an indication that there is probably no country that can
stop Bitcoin. Moreover, even a country that has banned Bitcoin cannot ensure that its citizens do not use Bitcoin. As long as there is an internet
connection Bitcoin will always be there. The only way to stop Bitcoin is to shut down the internet all over the world, but it is impossible for that
to happen. Because the internet has become a basic human need right now.

When one country decides to ban BTC, another country will find it an opportunity for them this is why it can't be stopped. Even the Chinese government who is well known to have tight rules against anything that they couldn't control can't do anything to BTC. Its a lot harder for them to ban it this time because several countries are adopting BTC, it's best for the governments now to just adopt as well when people already have been adopting crypto.

Even though the government keeps on doing a thing just to stop bitcoin they cannot still do it, the government wants to stop it because they only want banks and they are afraid that bitcoin or decentralization will replace the bank system in the future because if that would happen then they cannot benefit from it but for sure the cryptocurrency will never replace fiat currency because there are still a lot of people who don't have knowledge about internet or technology and there are a lot of countries which don't have a stable internet connection.

The governments of each country have no affiliation to shut down the crypto and bitcoin industries because they cannot, nor can they deny, the best features of bitcoin.  They can tighten their mentality and regulate their former practices such as prohibiting participation in cryptocurrencies, hoarding, and mining bitcoins ... but history has proven it is not possible and of course,  if it does, it will have a serious effect.  I'm a crypto, bitcoin believer and I never expected such bad news related issues.

We are thinking too much worst case scenario in here to the point that it's so absurd and ridiculous at the same time just thinking about what would happen to Bitcoin if being stopped. This is not going to happen unless if the internet won't work anymore and that's the only way Bitcoin can be stop.

But that is most likely not going to happen since every country has its own leader and they were all have different perspective about of crypto currency. Plus Bitcoin is decentralized in the first place so there's nothing they can do about it hence, they'll just accept the new technology and move on.

It is not about always thinking about governments, although as an adage says "they have the upper hand" but we should not necessarily be in the pan.

The point is that bitcoin is made strong by the number of ordinary users who have bitcoin, in reality the price and institutional investors are a part that is seen as a whole, actually, and that is where it lies that the bitcoin is unstoppable, in the largest number of common users.

It will never happen that all of them will unite to ban bitcoin because some of them are benefiting on bitcoin by regulating it. Why would they do that stupid move when people are trusting bitcoin, isn't it just right to do their job which is to serve the interest of the people?

And there should be a reason why they will ban bitcoin, if it's due to its anonymity, then they should regulate it.

Man, you know, institutional investors are already putting their money in crypto, and they would not do that if they see this kind of risk.

One way to stop bitcoin is that if government shutdown the internet, or if they started another war against each other. Anyhow, don't overthink it mate, it won't happen, government will not and can't stop bitcoin. They won't collude with each other just because they don't like this so called digital currency dominating the world.

Well, no one can stop because bitcoin isn't a physical or something like never exists, it's all about a digital number that you hold inside your hardware wallet and that is the reason why even government can't stop it. If the government will shutdown all internet power supply there is a chance that bitcoin adoption will freeze for a while but I think there is also an alternative way if there is no internet but still, you can able to have transactions using bitcoin.
Straight forward to the fact, bitcoin is unstoppable and no one will stop it, now let see the price, perhaps investors have quietly adopted bitcoin this week.

I also think like you that now bitcoin is unstoppable. The decentralization and freedom that bitcoin offers was what produced the great momentum that we are witnessing.

What will happen to the banks? Some effect will bring that we prefer bitcoin and cryptocurrencies than banks.
The world will show the changes and without a doubt there will be great transformations.

There will always be governments that intend to ban bitcoin due to the criminals that can take advantage of cryptocurrencies. Since there is no perfect crime, I think that the best prepared people will be ready to act.

This isn't big news, it's always been known that you can't truly destroy Bitcoin, because it exists on hard drives of hundreds of thousands of people across the world. But governments can absolutely harm Bitcoin - look at today's adoption, which is actually quite low, then divide it by 100 and remove all the institutional investors and other big players, and you will get what will happen if Bitcoin was outlawed.

Bitcoin runs under a protocol, it means it has his own port to run, and governments could block that port if they want. Another way to try to stop bitcoin would be by making it illegal all around the world and chase the users who spend BTC.

If governments want to stop it they will find a way to do it. But since there is a lot of money involved and important people are involved too, then the govs will not stop bitcoin.

Death penalty world wide for Bitcoin using might help, but will that likely be happening?

I guess things will turn out kind of what happened to the internet: People (incl. politicians, policemen, millionaires etc) watch porn and download some music/vids/apps for free. Then somebody who didn't use/understand the internet calls the internet 'dangerous', 'only for criminals' and wants to protect the children by closing it down. Porn guys go 'WTF' and 'The internet is great! You can't close it down!!!' In the end everybody watches porn and instead of downloading music for free they go to a music portal and pay for it.

I get this point, I mean that modernity has come , here to stay and taking away certain aspects of life or has given option. One aspect of it is financial system and bitcoin is part of the history that the world has to accept and deal with. Nice scene lol

when was the last time you saw even two governments in the world come together in the entire human history? near 200 of them will never come together ever. even during world war they only made alliances that didn't go any further than everyone thinking about their own benfits.
bitcoin in comparison is not a bad thing and many governments have already adopted it.

No time truly. For the governments it has been competition and war. Either trade war, atomic accusations or who next to visit pluto and sun  Grin

My only question is, why stop him? Instead, he is gaining the support of governments and seeing potential.

Your thinking about them uniting is even impossible. There are rumors of wars and misunderstanding in different countries so even if they do, they won't focus on stopping bitcoin.
Governments that are thinking about bitcoin to stop in its operation, can't just shut it down but the implementation of a ban if ever they do will only hit badly on their citizens that are into bitcoin.
