:Dfunny I also did during my German class was quite difficult to explain some German people that besides cash there is something
there is really something after cash  . there is this digital currencies which for sure they already know but those digital currency does not mean that its already a crypto but crypto can rank farther to them.  this is why people arent aware and concern individuals are always welcome to introduce it to them .  you did a good job there and op too . inserting  crypto/bitcoin talks on what we do is better and theres a big chance that people will listen than explaining it to them directly .

Wow, this is a nice thing to do. Congrats for presenting your topic well!

Being able to share your knowledge about bitcoin is a really great achievement for me too, since only a few know what bitcoin is. Most of the people just knew the superficial things about it. Some even don’t know that it exists. And lots of people assume it’s a kind of scam and nest for dangerous and criminal activities.

I think it’s really nice for us to impart what we know to other people, so they won’t be ignorant of things. It would be great if each member in our growing community spread bitcoin awareness from time to time, even if it’s just on some brief conversation with colleagues, peers, classmates, and workmates. In this way, we can help them understand what we are doing and what are the benefits of bitcoin to their chosen career/path. By doing this, we can also help our crypto community to become bigger and widely known.

Your move if pretty bold and I really like it as you were able to market the crypto in a simple way but it has a big impact especially to your colleagues and teacher. If I will be given a chance then I will not hesitate to do the same to what you did because we are giving a hint here about the future currencies that we are going to use as a replacement for fiat.

I'm having an MBA degree on Marketing. Due to COVID19, we are having classes online. However, we had a term paper submission and presentation on "Deceptive Advertising". I have selected the freebitco advertisement and had presented their Bait and Switch method to attract newbies to have click on their site.
The advertisement is- "Win $200 bitcoin per hour" which I think totally a deceptive advertising. Through this, I was able to give a little hints about bitcoin among my fellow mates and my teacher. I felt lucky when teacher asked me what bitcoin is actually after my presentation, I gave a short answer to them.
This was really great achievement of me, it may not be to you. I feel lucky if I get a chance to talk about bitcoin among my country men.

Very cool, man. This year I have my final paper as well and I'm thinking of incorporating blockchain and/or cryptocurrencies. I still have time to plan, but I'm really passionate about this and like you I would be very glad to teach my fellow colleagues about the currency that has already changed the financial system as we know it. This was a really clever way to introduce bitcoin to your class, instead of introducing bitcoin directly trying to make them invest in the coin you have done so indirectly and by doing it in this way this does not create resistance against the idea of bitcoin itself, keep doing this and I'm sure that more than one will begin to ask questions about bitcoin and the only thing that you need to do is to answer them in an honest way, after all it is not as if we need to deceive people to enter in this market when the advantages are so obvious to us.

I appreciate your efforts. At least you kept your role on bitcoin adoption somehow by sharing with your classmates and teacher. Especially, you did a great job by make curiosity your teacher about the bitcoin. Because if you could convince your teacher and he enters on bitcoin somehow then he would keep a role in bitcoin adoption since many people follow their step.

Anyway, don't forget about your own security and privacy. If bitcoin is illegal in your country then take are when you are sharing in online something about  Bitcoin.

Does your teacher ask you about what is freebitco? and how bitcoin can be used on casino.. Your teacher might be want to get free bitcoin on freebitco and start to gamble there.. Great effort to show what is bitcoin in front of all your classmate. Spreading about what is bitcoin and help others to understand is a good thing.

Did they use the word (bold) specifically? If yes then you have successfully changed the mind of a doubter. I am pretty sure your teacher heard about bitcoin before your presentation but it was not good thing about it.
It doesn't seem like she had heard about bitcoin before, may be she had but had no good idea about it. I have tried my level best to present what bitcoin is in reality despite all the fud going around. It would be a good discussion if the class was on any finance related subject.

And that's not false, you *can* win. You likely won't, but every lottery can be won, at tinier chances. Not really off topic as the discussion is whether or not that's deceptive marketing and I agree it is on a certain level. It's a matter of language in the end, the subtleties of "can", "may" and "will" at least;)
The sentence doesn't say you can win rather it says WIN only which clearly indicates a deceptive method to attract noobs.

I wish I have the opportunity as yours to tell the whole class as well about crypto space and not just Bitcoin.
OP has that passion and he never thinks in a hard way to teach people around even if it was just ignored but he has noticed that it is effective and sees an interesting story for the listener. I know that not all of us have that sort of enlightenment and courage to waste their time and effort but he has. It depends on you if you tried it and see the results.

Not like they care anyway on what Bitcoin is, they'll just surely shrug it off as a scam and an illegal coin used in the deep web.
That's quite funny of a deceptive advertising actually.
I would write for my own as "Tutorial on how to earn from Bitcoin, double your quarter now"  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
But meh. No one cares about crypto in my class.
If you already think about the negative, seeing less effective, it for sure you won't succeed because in the first place, you are already not happy and you are also expecting that no one will listen to you and care about it. If you want to teach and promote crypto into any person, you better change your mindset first and turn it into a positive.

This is a very good and cool way to propagate bitcoin.
Whether or not the 'Win $200 bitcoin per hour' is deceptive or not isn't really the point here. The point is that it provided an avenue for OP to share his thoughts about bitcoin which ultimately helps increase the adoption of bitcoin.
I believe if everyone makes the most of opportunities like this that are presented to us in our everyday life to propagate bitcoin, it would take less years for bitcoin to reach mass adoption.
What you said really have a good point. If we utilize the available tools and methods we could to maximize the opportunity to promote Bitcoin, the community at large, it will be a more prominent driving force. The OP sure did a noticeable way to promote Bitcoin on his own way.

You are lucky enough to share a sensitive bitcoin related content. I tried to explain to my colleagues, friends, and family about bitcoin and they envision them as a scam investment they have heard on television. I hope the people I love will understand what bitcoin is and give them more attention. Currently, in our country there is no cryptocurrency regulation, I hope they will be interested in cryptocurrencies soon.

That was smooth move. I hope you got some referrals on your freebitco account through your efforts.  Grin

Sound to me best way but unfortunately not in the classes anymore! Your efforts surely turn one of them into crypto enthusiastic person and they will start from scratch now. May be you should also refer them to the bitcointalk forum if they wish to learn many more things about it.

As we know we have so many things to take from this forum alone. Every question has been already answered here I guess, so if anyone wants to get started then surely give them address to this palace!!

If there was another word "up to", it would not be deceptive advertising in my opinion. But the sentence above clearly says you can win $200 per hour while you barely have that chance.
Anyway, it's off topic here and I wouldn't go further here.

Well, keep it up and I hope this perhaps a start for them to adopt cryptocurrency and acquire to their knowledge regarding blockchain technology.
Perhaps you are a great teacher and it seems good if others too you will teach them what you have learned here in our community. --If most of us doing this in our local community, bitcoin adoption for sure will be rapidly surge high because once you have taught 1 student it will connect into her other friends and so on. So the community will enlarge very soon.

Congratulations mate! I know a number of people who did presentations on Bitcoin during courses. You can fit it in almost any class if you know the subject well enough.
I just hope it starts being seen more like science than a speculative ponzi scheme or "fake money" by professors. Many of the old people that I had the questionable pleasure to talk about Bitcoin represented the attitude of Warren Buffett.

If I would also be having the same chance of sharing my knowledge about Bitcoin on my class just like what the OP have achieved, then it would be a great pleasure on my part because in some sense I would act like a voice or representative to present Bitcoin into those people who have not known anything about Bitcoin yet and be an eye opener for them to further understand what Bitcoin really is apart from the things they are hearing around which most likely are against the reality about Bitcoin.

I salute the OP for making such spot light on sharing about Bitcoin for it is a small step yet a big action towards better understanding about Bitcoin specially to those who were just new from it.
