Since you are asking this advice when the market rallied it is hard to give you any advice and you cannot trust any other advice as well as no one knows which coins are going to rally and which coins goes down. If you are planning to invest you need to understand the risk involved as well when the market goes down as well. If you had invested in BNB when you posted you could have made a fortune but you need to find any lucky instance for a rally as well.

It is often said that only invest what you can afford to lose, investment is risky and crypto investment is even more riskier, you should be able to analyze your risk management before embarking on any crypto investment, and since you need suggestions, i would suggest btc 70% (because expert has predicted over $100k in price) 20% on bnb (again it is analyze it may reach $1000) then 10% on dot because we already know the potential of dot and the possibility of even going higher.

My suggestion for you is this way

1. Always don't put your investment in one area

2. Be sure to invest what you can take the shock when it goes bad, so it means you have to be sure you want to do the investment.

3. Remove $2,000 from your $16,000 and you have $14,000. Use the $2,000 for yourself, feeding and upkeep. And you have $14,000 to invest.

4. Split your $14_000 into two, that is $7,000 on each part.

5. Invest one part in real life business and that means you can be having income on daily bases or intervals depending on the investment and you can still sustain your life with this real life business.

6. Invest the second part ($7,000) on cryptocurrency. I will further suggest to you here to forget about top crypto coins. Search for any altcoin listed in high profile exchanges like binance invest on a long time (maybe 5 years from now)

You can search for altcoins that have active team, this is very important. I can suggest cartesi if you desire but don't invest in just a coin. At least 5 different coins above, remember not to put all your investment in one area.

ENJ, DOT and ETH are very potential alts to invest with your big funds, I judt wanted to suggest that you add to your portfolio portion the EGLD, BNB and LINK because altcoins are also a very potential tokens. With regards to the partition of your 16000$, I strong suggest that you do your dip researching in which of those token you will put a large part of the fund and which token will have the small amount of your fund.

from the list of coins you mentioned above is pretty good, especially with Ethereum and Polkadot, regarding INJ, if I'm not mistaken, is it a 2019 project or not? INJ coin is also quite good especially since it is listed on some of the top exchanges especially on Binance. $ 16k is big money. You can make the most of it for the top coin investment. apart from the above list, I recommend BNB, TRX, XLM coins and try your luck at DIA tokens.

Op I can see that you have interest in DeFi projects mind you they are the most risky projects around make sure you do your research very well before investing in any DeFi projects also I would advise you to invest in top altcoins because they are more safer than many new altcoins, polkadot and avalanche are the best new defi projects I trust, do your own research

Brother, cut it in half before you decide investing. It would be better for you to lose half than to lose all. you may gain a bit smaller than what you should have if you invested whole 16k but at least the risk is smaller and you still have some backup funds if ever bad things happen. if it were me, I'd divide it as what I have said and invest in stocks instead and only a small portion for this industry since profits here if it comes, are huge. so it kind of balances the scales.

if you read my post i suggest you do the following:

1 - look for business in the real world in your country and invest in them. example:

you have $16,000

you take $2000 and guards at the bank

you take $6,000 and invest in the real world business

2 - with $8000 invests $2000 in bitcoin, $1000 in ETH and the rest of the money look for other altcoins and invest $100 to $300 in each one

But be aware that in the event that bitcoin falls, all altcoins also fall, which is why you have to invest in the real world business too

In my opinion, there is no right formula for this.

You just have to decide in which coin you want to invest in the short or long term and make the right ratio.

Also, I saw in one of the comments, which is true - if you have no other funds than these, do not invest everything.

If that 16,000 USD that you are holding will be purely for investing in crypto then these are my suggestions. You already know that there are risk on investing in crypto since you are investing into it already.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, DOT, ADA, UNI, BNB, COMP, 1INCH.
All of them are either on the top or a DeFi token. With DeFi slowly becoming popular across crypto, its no doubt that the coins that I said will be helpful for the users thus they will flourish in the long run. It might happen or it might not

. Your decision.

Now if your only money is 16,000 USD then you might considering reinvesting a portion of that money into something not crypto related like business or stock market or just save it.

You made this kind of money with sweat and effort. Investing is fine, but consider doing that with patience and not when prices are so high. I was also tempted to do the same but look again at the market. It is horribly overvalued and anytime it can start crashing with just one bad news appearing. It is close to one year right now since the last halving of Bitcoin rewards and while we can have a few more months of a bullrun and altcoin season, I have started feeling the risk being so high that I can't put money in it at all. Pay attention to the prices, they will go down a lot at some point. If possible, just trade and be ready to exit if there are signs of prices collapsing.

If I were you, I will invest in either ethereum, polkadot, bnb or ada. Or I will divided that $16000 into those coins. I've been following those top cryptocurrency for the past few months and 85% of my predictions are actually happened. Also bitcoin is a great investment but the risk is high especially recently it reached $52000 or another ATH. Most of the time after the ATH, bitcoin usually dump its price value and will increase for the next few months again. So maybe you can wait for the bitcoin to dump and buy it and hold until it increase again.

Take it to 30:30:40. 40% should be in Ethereum. That's the best idea that you can do but I'll remove the other coin, ENJ. And the portion that it should be taking, I'll put it into bitcoin.
Or you can do 40% for bitcoin and 30% for Ethereum and DOT. I guess you have a good deal with that allocation of your wealth and investment for that hard-earned money that you have saved.

According to your personal text you seems to be bullish on INJ but you must understand that Defi investment are too risky and aside from that, the current circumstance of the market is not good for inexperienced investors and I will advise you to wait till when the market correction happen.
In the meantime, you can still invest and hold BNB on the Binance exchange to get some airdrop money and others benefit just for holding it.

I do agree that defi is too risky for newbies, and too many newbies see very high APY and APR and they get involved right away, only to lose a lot of money when tokens drop in price instead of give a good return. However one thing I can't agree more is BNB suggestion, it is a great idea to buy BNB, because in the end even if tokens that are on BNB chain is good or bad, that will result with people having a ton of profit over course of years since even in bad or good tokens everyone will get into BNB to use those tokens, think of it like ETH and erc20 tokens and same logic.

This is why I think buying BNB will be the smartest thing anyone can make right now and price will definitely go towards 1000+ dollars in the future, maybe not in a few days but it will definitely be there in a few years at most. That is why I have bought a lot of BNB and it already brought me nearly 3x profit already.

I totally agreed with everything you said but you specifically misunderstood everything I said about BNB because I also advised the OP making an investment in BNB because aside it surge in price there are some free benefits that are attached with holding the coin on Binance exchange site.

With $16000, I recommend you to spend $10000 to invest in Bitcoin. The rest portion $6000 would be used to invest in altcoins. If you spend $500 for each potential altcoins, you can invest in 12 altcoins. It is a good diversification for your portfolio.

$500 is the amount that you can easily enter and exit the market without any appearance of buy or sell walls from your trading orders.

I would like to give you a reminder that potential altcoins are true in bull market but in bear market, altcoins are all killed by the bear and the Bitcoin. In bear market, you only have 1 choice, Bitcoin.
