rejected, well over 100 btc ...
did not trade or have open orders,

first I was afraid, I was petrified,
kept thinkin'...

I still did not send documentation via post ,
this time I entered the exact balances and some additional info description

both times i offered only description, no documentation,
I have it if things get heavy(er)...

edit:

I received following message :

Your account recovery request has been accepted.
You will be able to access your Mt.Gox account once the site opens again.

Also got rejected. I just thought that the sure way for them to verify the claims would be to ask for a transfer of a specific sum from one of the addresses used for withdrawing to what ever other address (does not matter - it just needs to be visible in the block explorer).

Didn't want to give them my bank account number.

so I just went to cmd -> ipconfig /all and copy/pasted my info under 'other'.

Got accepted.

Honestly, last IP address is likely just ignored unless you still are using that IP address.

Anyway, my ISP upgraded the line last week and, as a consequence, I'm not sure I'm still the same IP range. Which means that I have no idea about the IP used previously to access MtGox.

Rejectded, damn it!! I've provided the Name of my Bank and my IP - which is fixed!!! Trying with account balance and details about a deposit. This sucks, ...!!!

if any of them got into our email (gmail or others) they probably went directly to see the last IP that accessed it. I didn't want to write any of this until an acceptable amount of time passed as they are also posting and reading this here too.

For instance, that thread with people posting their number from the list was an exceptionally idiot idea. xD
I just hope the ones that did post in that thread were lying or practice very high level security.

I'll tell you another way someone could get your ip.
Post a picture in a thread here hosted on a server you control.
every user that visits that thread pulls that image to their IP, every offsite hosted avatar too.
Your ip is logged now.

What do they do now?
they take that list and run it through pipes and probe every single IP.
Additionally, many of us are on IRC. Congrats, you now have tons of IP addresses.

I was really surprised to see so many people posting screenshots from the channels because I just happened to see a script on github or pastebin that correlates hostnames with bitcoin transfers?
I can't remember where it came from, but I wouldn't post it anyway, just because how dangerous it is.

I got rejected too but I'm not too upset, I realized something earlier.

7- billion people on this planet.

we are 61,000 plus or minus I can't remember anymore.

from that list of users pasted you can guarantee at very minimum 10+ assholes are more than likely trying to claim each of our accounts. if any of them got into our email (gmail or others) they probably went directly to see the last IP that accessed it. I didn't want to write any of this until an acceptable amount of time passed as they are also posting and reading this here too. sup doodz. xD

go into your profile here and disable avatars and sigs, and while your at it, message the admin to disallow posting images, we don't need to see that shit anyway.

We are in the jungle, poison darts, pythons, boody traps n shit.

When you take all that into account, you can't really be so mad at mt gox, sure you can still be angry, but there are factors being created now completely out of their control.

I got rejected too. Problem is that I already provided the name of the bank account used for deposit and my approximative balance. I have no more informations to provide than that. Maybe I was wrong about my balance? I don't know, I'm not sure at all if I sold all my BTC before the crash or not.

All I can do now, is offering to send them a GPG signed email.

I also don't understand why sending a PDF by postal paper would be a proof of anything at all?

 Angry

Really wondering what's the difference between the rejected and the accepted here. Also, can't MtGox simply assume that those with an email in the DB (like me) are fine ?

I've learned a few things in doing business overseas and money that gets 'lost' or is 'in question' has a funny way of disappearing..
call your banks, issue reversals, put the ball in THEIR court.. funny how much more responsive they'll be.

I guarantee you 100% this is the prudent move.  Stop listening to what they say.. we've given them the benefit of the doubt, its been lie after lie... dont be fools.

I got rejected too.. the only one who didnt who seems to have money is that swac guy and he's been shilling for gox 24/7 from day 1 so im not exactly shocked..

reversing the ach soon as my bank opens tomorrow.. recommend u all do the same.

if gox wants to convince me otherwise it will take something more than an automated mail.

FYI: They might reverse but it's still a dispute and they can take it away again if you lose, good luck.

Hey, you are still here and relatively positive == You are qualified to eventually become a Bitcoin (real-world) Multi-Millionaire.   Smiley
It's a marathon not a sprint.

Yea true and I think its safe to assume my account was one that had its password hacked and account drained. MtGox is hardly going to reactivate my account based on me simply providing a couple of tit-bits of information thats already 'out there'.

Yep, I see how this works....delay the re-entry so that people can't get their shit out fast. Even more determined to leave now.

Yet, it can be called security; Always leave some doubt as to what is going on.
Hey, those guys have a HUGE incentive to get up and running to make honest money. They do not want to live in fear forever, right?

All of a sudden, you're telling me Mt.Gox define what good security is?...

No you are clearly misunderstanding what I wrote. The rejection == A security measure.
...or it is, more like what you said.

Well yea it would have been > than $100 cash but whats that at todays rates? 5 BTC's? Hardly a fortune..

What annoys me a little is so much time has been wasted. Its only now they have asked me for more than just my email address and old password, after rejecting my claim...they could have asked me for or given me opportunity to provide more info with the initial claim rather than send me this request for further proof > 24 hours later...
