There's a restaurant in my city that sells pizza and accept Bitcoin. You can buy marijuana next door too and pay with Bitcoin.

Which country, I have never seen any such shops accepting bitcoin. Have seen few restaurants in Television with signs accepting bitcoins.

This is a sad story, if I keep hang out in btc community, surfing btc web site, I will end up delivery pizza for a living

Pizza delivery is a decent and honest job... I guess pizza guys are most likely too busy to surf the internet...

What do you think they do in between the pizza delivery jobs? Surf the Internet on their devices  Grin

He was delivering to the neighbor and, while he waited for them to answer the doorbell, he asked me if I heard of this nifty little thing called Bitcoin. I couldn't resist telling him the Bitcoin pizza story and told him that I'd also used it to order pizza delivery before. But it's good to see that Bitcoin is starting to get out there more.
I never realize this story could be spreading easily around the association of pizza guy,but the guy should probably trying his luckiness to get into bitcoin whatever the result lol

It would not be unnatural for someone in the pizza delivery business to know about Bitcoin or to have know about it. The pizza story made headlines in most news papers for a while and even helped to spread awareness of how valuable Bitcoin has become and that you could buy goods and pay for services for it.

I have bought pizza with Bitcoin before, and it is fun to talk to these guys and gals.

Yeah the bitcoin pizza story was huge, ironically it was such a while ago and Bitcoin was worth so much less back when it happened.
That's what makes the story so big, it happened back when a fairly unknown and niche currency was just starting to make its rounds, and then next thing you know it is valued at $1,000/coin and someone paid $10,000,000 for a pizza (adjusted for rough peak value) and now those coins have gone somewhere else, etc.

Pizza delivery people or those who own pizza shops probably all envy the chain that got that payment, but I think it is cool regardless of the industry's feelings that so many people are hearing about Bitcoin.

I met only one person until now who asked me if I know about Bitcoin and I was amazed at first but then to test his knowledge, I pretended as if I have no idea what it is, so he tried to explain it to me and it looked more like a sales pitch for a get rich plan and then I told him I am in Bitcoin world from 2 years now and corrected him that he shouldn't present Bitcoin as a get rich scheme.

Was he trying to sell bitcoin to you?
I have also told the pizza guy same story of bitcoins he laughed.

You must be living in a town called "Heaven" lol

It's a major Canadian city named "Vancouver".
Went on vacation to Vancouver last summer, weed store on basically every corner. It's pretty nuts, in a good or bad way depending on how you intend on looking at it.

I wonder what varieties of kush they have hidden away...

Even the pizza guy knows Bitcoin, this is getting more mainstream. I'm glad that you told the pizza guy about that story, because he will also tell the story to his friends and everybody on that pizza store will know that story. Cheesy

Yes! This is only the beginning of mainstream. I guess at this stage they are just taking it as something funny. Soon they will regard for not taking it seriously.

Its good to see that bitcoin is becoming more out there.
I have a similar story. Once I took a Cab and the trip was bit long so the cab driver started to talk with me about the current economic state of my country, and after a while he goes on and asks me if I've ever heard about bitcoin. I was absolutely amazed!
