Altcoins are good for short term but ethereum is one of the few alts that are profitable for long term investment due to the continuous increase on its market price which is proven on the previous years. There is no doubt that ethereum is the best altcoin to hold for long term because the value of ethereum can also rise up to $2k and ethereum has a good platform and really useful by alot of investor so holding ethereum is good strategy. hello mate what is the reason why you let go BTC? BTC is one of the best coin to hold long term. this coin is very unpredictable when it pumps. but then since you decided to divert to alt coin all the best i can recommend is ETH ethereum, this coin has a good potential to be x10 someday. and my advice for you is read different articles about crypto since you are newbie there are lot of opportunities and great technique where in you can earn profit. goodluck mate, and may you have a wonderful day.

I would hold for good project coins like ADA, EOS, and Augur. We cannot tell if how the market would play but the thing that is for sure is the team is working hard, have working product and is user-friendly. We cannot deny the potential these projects have.
