I think that is a good idea holding BTC. But except this you should try multiply your porfolio for example with bounty.
Coins are very many if you want to take a chance, I would advise buying coins with low capitalization but with great prospects for growth (CS, Pundi X, Docademic )

Quite not a bad choice. Only I doubt about the last point. From the latest news: the XMR was divided into 2 coins Ripple and XMR . Strange move...
Many option that you can invest in your money in, just try invest in coin that not populas as like ethereum, i recommed to invest in vechain, nem, neo and maybe cardano would be best. Altcoins is good option as long as you invest in the right one.
Ripple is one of the top crypto coins in terms of market cap in my opinion. With many potential collaborations and increasing interest from large institutions, the stability and growing potential of the Ripple look promising.

You can hold BTC as well, buut if you are going to hold only alts, try Monero, this is my favorite after ETH. Monero has a lot of advantages including wonderful security.

I prefer that you focus on ethereum because the market price of this coin is really high before and it even reach $1k dollar so invest a huge amount right now while the market prices are dropping.

You now what that's a good idea to hold coins in long term process... It is quite interesting but a little bit risky but if there is nothing wrong if you try it as long as you try it... You can have your own research if you can there are a lots of available site that can help you but it is not 100% sure that, that coins is truly for long term holding....
