In this current situation where again btc is on bear market and it had just played between 6.4K to 6.7K level and with this scenario, I still believe that btc will still be the main cryptocurrency that will make history back again. Despite of this down trend, many people are favorable for this present market where they could buy more btc at this lower cost and same with the whales whose intention is to make the btc market in bearish for their own interest in purchasing huge amount of btc at a lower price while they wait for it to go up trend once again gaining huge profit soon.

I jus dump half my investment from stocks into btc. Now I'm fully invested in bitcoin. Before I had invested in bch and it dumped. While I converted to fiat. Long story but I'm still alive after the ath 19k n buying the dip. I thought it was going to 4k. But i guess its a good time to buy now. Best of luck.
Better to see the opportunity on this dip from last year than to feel depressed because you are waiting for long run for price to increase from what you invested. It is good idea to buy more volume at the price it has now because when it increase, it can give good profit and waiting can be worth it. I believe on the potential of bitcoin and as the price down, do not doubt to have mor volume because I know we could not tell what the future will bring.

You surely have the mind to cling to cryptocurrency. That is a good one. Just like you, I strongly believe that bitcoin and other cryptocurrency will bounce back and we will do great again.
surely it's because bitcoin and other crypto are good future coins and have great potential in development. so now bitcoin and other crypto have started to rise again

The crypto market is always volatile, but I think it will recover and increase quite quickly after the fall. The btc price is a good opportunity for us to buy.

It's true that bitcoin deserves much higher price than what it is today. But I think that huge manipulation is going on to control bitcoin's price. That's why,its price is still moving between the range of 6,000 dollars to nearly 8,000 dollars. But holding is not bad and it would definitely yield more profit in the future.

At one point I had shares of stock after bch went down from 1200$.

the word is "token" not "stock". you had BCH tokens that you sold for bitcoin.

I am going to live up to the McAfee hype and going for the 1 mil in 2020. Waiting for the bitcoins halving in 2020. I'm guessing 300k is on the horizon.

first of all you should never listen or follow the hype. specially by people like McAfee who are doing it for profit they gain in short term and don't care about the long term of bitcoin.
secondly bitcoin is not a buy some and get  rich quick scheme. it is a currency. try to learn more about it. I promise you won't be disappointed if you past the fiat profit.

Profits will be profits, no matter what you make them with. With that in mind, right now you can't use bitcoin as a currency. It is more like stocks discussed here, and if you want to use bitcoin as a substitute for a currency, you should sell it first for something which can actually be used as a currency, say, dollars. But if you can't, it doesn't really matter how long you are going to hold your coins. For example, if the price surges tomorrow to over 20k (let's imagine that), would you keep on holding just because you think "bitcoin is not "a buy some and get rich quick scheme"? For most people, the answer would be straightforward, and it would be about not missing an opportunity "to get rich fast".

Welcome to BitcoinTalk! I've got bags of Bitcoin, but honestly I like my Litecoin.

although i generally disagree with anyone who holds any altcoin but i can understand those who are investing in altcoins that have certain uniqueness and some different features. for example those that invest in DAG based coins.
but what i will never understand is why some people like "copy coins"! specially like this comment when they prefer them over the original! it doesn't make any sense.

Cryptocurrency always has the risk of price and market that investors worry, but when you are an experienced marketer it will be a very profitable source for you.

i think the price of btc will be 300k really soon. theres alot of drama going on. i think that there is pump and dump action that goes on in the crypto community. sum times your too late for the profits. i really have no idea where crypto is going. I just hope for the positives to take its place. at the same time im scared to lose my money again. my friends lost alot on ethereum n still holding on.

Your investment “strategy” has lots of odds of leading you to bankruptcy: acting on feelings, not diversifying... That’s what basic investment principles tell you not to do. At least you are buying the dip, and not the ath.

haha i think warren buffet is a good investor. his investment tactics. but he is against tech stocks but he likes apple stocks. he hates bitcoin as a currency. some ppl are good at what they do.

you don't know that! all you know is that Warren Buffet has talked against bitcoin. that is all. other than that Warren may be one of the biggest bitcoin owners in the whole world who has been silently accumulating bitcoin in other words dumping his fiat for bitcoin and all this "negative talk" might have been in order to keep the price down as long as possible so he can convert more of his fiat to bitcoin without anybody noticing. you know you can't do off-the-market perchance of large quantitates in one go as millionaires do. so you have to break it  down into chunks and that will take a long time.

good luck, if you really believe in your decision don't hesitate, maybe by holding it and being patient until the price rises higher, is the right thing for now I'm sure bitcoin will return to its highest price.

Investments in Crypto currencies are a high risk investment and any balanced portfolio should have some high risk investment options. The challenge is not to over invest in high risk investments.   Roll Eyes

I will never tell you how to invest your money, but I can share my experience from years of investing and I can tell you that a ALL IN approach on one commodity or financial option is never a good idea.  Roll Eyes

You mean you are going long on bitcoin right now? Nothing wrong's with that strategy but I hope that you have that mentally to really fight temptations to dump it when the market is on a panic mode.

If you are in it for a long haul a good 1-2 years will be good test and see how it goes for you. I'm glad that you made the switch from BCH->BTC because that coin is for pump-and-dump. Yes you can enjoy the ride but sooner or later who will go and suffer a lost. Goodluck then and just wait for the next all-time-high before taking some profits.

I think that's a good choice. it's better to transfer your shares to bitcoin, and this is indeed the time to buy bitcoin in my opinion ... and hold it until the beginning of the year

Good luck to us but its unlikely that it will become $1,000,000 by 2020. Don't also mislead to say that you have "stocks" with BCH, you have an altcoin before.  But at least you chose the best one instead of dwelling with the fork one. I want to know how much you hold but its very unusual to say that thing so keep that. Halving by 2020 will commit positive increase in terms of its price but that's too much for $1M.

haha i think warren buffet is a good investor. his investment tactics. but he is against tech stocks but he likes apple stocks. he hates bitcoin as a currency. some ppl are good at what they do. let them do what they do and let bitcoin change the world and become a currency. bitcoin will act as a currency where you can use it digitally. some ppl say bitcoin to some is not an investment but a currency where u wont need to withdraw.
it would suck if u lose a loan over bitcoin but still in the end. you are holding that bitcoin. unless u panic sell n rebuy at a higher price.
