Bazinga!
If I had invested my savings in Bitcoin would it be more likely to be broke? Cheesy

If it is long term savings then i doubt you will lose anything, in the short term then yes you could lose out at the minute.  But fiat longterm is a bad idea as it lose value over time.

i think it is better not to go "all" in because it has risks.

just invest some amount of money that you can afford to invest and be happy about your gains even if they are small.

Well this kind of thread make me smile. First you didn't even wrote in which time you had your idea. When BTC was 1 dollar or 1000 dollar`s?
You didn't said how much money you planed to invest, and you didn`t mention nothing about business plan that you should make for something serious like investing savings!

But its important that you put big smiley in the end.. People like you will ruin this forum.

Well you are right, there is no value indicated by op and he didn't mentioned how much was the value and how many bitcoins he did acquire.
But still, he isn't broke at all.
And that's a good thing that he never spent some bitcoin and for sure he is now harvesting his savings.

That is a good thing right but I think that you are a bit to careful, you can spend some of your savings on Bitcoin but not all of them because that is also not a smart thing to do. Begin with a couple of Bitcoins.

Investing in savings is better than investing it alone, the risk is free since you are just saving it for what purpose you want to use it so it is better
and risk free.
But its up to you if you think you are good in investment, then invest.

If you're interested in making money then its the right place to invest and grab the profit. The real factor is that you should not invest your entire earning as there is no assurance of tomorrow. A small portion can be invested which would give you better value after years.

Faucet is the best way not to spend an savings on bitcoin. Unless you are rich you can buy bitcoins and earn a lot from it. If i where you spent your savings and buy some bitcoin because it is halving time and the price will be doubled so you can pull out again your savings after halving.

Bitcoin is a different from all other types of saving including gold , if you invest all of your saving by now in bitcoin then waiting 6 month to 11 month , definitely will double your profit who knows perhaps profit will be 2x of investment . just buy now with no any other kind of trading\gambling for awhile.

Lol, y u so angry, Friend? I've never lost a cent in a bank. Not once. When I go into a store to buy a gallon of milk, the price doesn't change from day to day.
As far as "trustless" currency? WTF does that even mean? You know the guy who runs this forum wants to just *destroy* all the early coins, because they ain't safe from quantum computers? Ya Cheesy
If you buy a laptop from some guy on the internet with bitscoins, and he sends you a brick, wat do?

You do trust plenty of people, Friend, only you don't realize that you're doing it. And them people you trust?
Good luck, Friend!

Bitcoin is another currency, your USD changes daily to Bitcoin, Euro and all other currencies. If you make conversions or buy stuff from Europe, prices can change often. But there are goods/services selling in Bitcoin already, where the Bitcoin price doesn't change from day to day, though its still too early from mainstream before non transparent currencies are abandoned - and vouching non transparent currency is better is either malicious or uninformed acting.

Theymos can want whathever he wish, I want f*** Hillary b**** to her a** as well, but it aint happen.

BTW, hello from US, where I've never lost a cent by using a bank. Not one.

Good luck then, your eighter ignorant to check USD banking history or just bankster shill.

Why in my right mind I should preffer not transparent currency which USD belongs to. Your buddy uncle Sam could just print new bill out or increase my account ballance without deducting other with minimal cost and I should provide real work for this  Huh

I preffer trustless Bitcoin currency instead where I dont need to trust nothing wrong is happening, because I can check full Bitcoin ledger anytime.

The mind is everything. What you think you become.
you should keep your saving till halving comes
correct, halving is the biggest bitcoin project, and many people sure about the price gonna rise, and this is good time to save money untill halving come, and you can sell it when halving come,or after that. the wors thing happen in bitcoin halving is,when you have nothing when halving come.

Interesting statement Smiley
So, if I understand you well, Bitcoin is only investment for you?
Also, you don't trust future of bitcoin?
So, if so, why are you here?
Bitcoin is much more than simple investment or new currency.
Bitcoin is idea how average people can become financially free and also Bitcoin will change the world soon.
Why? People will not need regular banks or money, they will use virtual currencies and for their everyday expenses without fear somebody can control them, know their true identity, steal their money etc.
I'm sorry you can't see it and see Bitcoin only as investment.
Of course, you can earn Bitcoin in  free way and keep it in the wallet, so you can wait and see what future will bring you Smiley

I just keep my fiat in Cyprus banks. They will be forever safe there.

I agree with you, me either once I got my bitcoins from my earnings, I'm exchanging it to fiat already.
And ready to transfer it to my bank for safety of my money.

LOL, confiscation, deposit tax or a bail in is what they call it when a government takes depositors money to plug a banks financial holes, just as was done in Cyprus recently...

I guess Elwar forgot /s tag, good to catch banking trools though.

Not sure why Cyprus banks are any more relevant than Gatecoin getting haxx0rd or BBQ coin becoming worthless.
Sure, Cyprus banks are fiat-related, just like the examples I gave are crypto-related. At least Cyprus banks didn't run away with all your coins, like the totally awesome Bitcoin Bank in Cyprus did Smiley

No, just the Cyprus government running away with people's deposits. As will happen in Greece, and Puerto Rico, and Spain, and the US, and...

Gatecoin? Is that a private wallet in someone's cold storage?

I think OP is contradicting is his statement. A little bit imaginary and this question sign in end confuse me to most. So he asking us would he lose money, but only if he invested something? Hmm well my son go back and check. How many times I saw here : catch a train or regret later. I think like I see a bit regret in your words, you just acting like you are not sure now. So you ask for confirmation from others.

I think its not late to invest now, just be smart. Don`t let your greedy overcome you your mind. Probably you will lose everything you have in that case.

Actually if people weren’t saving bitcoins, they wouldn’t pay with Bitcoin and Neweggs wouldn’t accept them. Saving and spending are both essential, but it is true that people shouldn’t put all their money into Bitcoin.

Yes, I agree with that on the thing that people are putting their whole money and savings into bitcoin.
Not knowing that if they will put their all money they will earn but that's not enough.
They must know also that the risk to put their money into btc is also risky.
