There's nothing necessary to quit bitcoin trading, because if you can spend more time over the observation of price movement even if price goes down, can make a profit out of it.
Yeah and he is more experienced with all the knowledge of markets and stocks now so it will be better for him to continue the trading as it will be more profitable doing trading getting more experienced with it !

yes someone who is pretty good and a little expert in analyzing every movement, it would be good to make a profit.
indeed sometimes if we always lose, it makes us mentally descend, and I ever experienced it. but I have a high motivation to recover losses and finally I can get up.
bitcoin trading can be extremely profitable if you know what you are doing. However, it is also highly risky by nature so you can both win and lose large sums of money quickly. Bitcoin is an extremely volatile commodity, subject to sharp swings up and down in price with very little warning. so with good skill and keen observation on bitcoin prices you can make good profits.

I would say holding bitcoin is without much risks if you plan to hold your coins for at least a couple of years. day trading is quite risky as you don't really know what will happen. if you know how to read the market, then you can be successful in day trading.

What you are telling is right but what if everyone thinks like this and hold the bitcoins then how will you expect that bitcoin price will increase, until no one do trading how will the price will go up. In every work their is a risk it is up to you that how you tackle the problem. In the day trading if you have bought on high price and it is gone down then you can wait for some more days and buy back some more on low like this you price will get average and on next high you can yield the profit. This is the way you can gain profit in trading.

From my experience, it is very difficult to get the timing right for buying and selling. It is better just to hold.

I don't think you should quit trading just because of bitcoin price. a trader will always get profit if he know the right way to trad and important trading strategies.
if bitcoin price drop little bitcoin then trader can buy it cheaper. it is also an advantage for trader..

So guys, after 2 years of trading i am going to stop. (unless i have full time to trade, which i currently don't)

I have calculated all my trades on the various platforms i have used in the last couple years.

Deposited: 47BTC (roughly)

Withdrew: 40BTC (roughly)

Overall i am happy with the results, i would pay 7 BTC anyday for what i have learned so far.

Now the question is: what the fuck do i do now with my money.

trading is best way to earn more bitcoins so i don't really know what to offer for you now, maybe try mining but if you don't have cheap electricity it won't give profit

Nowadays mining with such high-cost electricity is not so worth at least in my country. You can consider investing partial amount in couple of good casino sites and your coins may grow over the time but you need to choose well trusted sites to invest.

If I had 40BTC, I would keep it till the next halving before selling. It would have reached ~ $1000 by then, the profit margin would simply be awesome!

Since BTC prices are quite volatile so if you want to make some good profit over the time then instead of waiting for so long, partial quantity of those 40 BTC can be used for trading like sell when you make some profit around 15 to 20% and again buy at slightly lower price and keep some for long term appreciation.

You look like some businessman who needs his money work on him and bring the profit. I can suggest you nothing to do with your money, I just don't know. You payed good for the lesson about trading and you don't wish to pay more, so why not just to invest it in some real business as papers of some company?

Yeah if i am holding that huge money really well i will surely invest it on real physical legal company because i can make sure that my money is safe and can be sure that i am putting my money on decent one, unlike investing it in online where to many risk are in their and i dont really see any true, reliable investing company are existing in their and even you put it on tradings still its risky for us to do so not unless if we have a group of rich crypto enthusiast that can make partnership to us and make a pump and dump team will that could be good.

One could profit by just holding but not that much  really. its best to invest on some coins that has potential. Kinda like XAUR which is currently on RICO or some that is currently becoming great like ETH or WAVES. This is why one should not quit trading instead because trading is where the the money is.

Dont quit without earning. If you want to earn in trading you need to wait. "Patience is a virtue" thats my master said in trading.
If you always fear to lose you will not earn here, if the altcoin or bitcoin dump just buy another altcoin or bitcoin so that if the price will rise your money will earn.

yeah, he should not have to stop as in that much time he will be more expert in trade so now when he will trade he will be more skill full in that and will never lose any more in trade with any coin.

but the OP has already declared that he is unable to earn in that long period, i think he is not for trading as the traders learn to trade within a shorter time and they start to earn bigger amount with each trade they do.

Well if he really dont have time to do it and it can conflict to his doing or job in real life well he must stop really since if he cant monitor and cannot do even if he used the auto option well i can say quiting is the best thing really he can do for now really to avoid bigger lose if he still want to continue for it. And very sure that all we know that tradings really need monitoring and it need time because the risk to broke is their.
