I appreciate the OPs honest post. He was smart enough to call it quits before he lost more. Was he trading altcoins? If so, a good lesson for everyone.

Holding bitcoin is the only "relatively" safe way to grow your investment. Wait for it to go up and sell. Wait for it to go down and buy.  Its a waiting game and those with patience win.

No fast money in altcoins anymore unless you are on the inside of a scam or pump.

That is true. That is really the one thing that I hate a lot in trading cryptocurrencies - the pump and dump. Although, I am not really affected to it, but I was and so with the new comers in trading crypto currencies. Most of the victims here are the new ones and they easily lose a lot of their bankroll because of these pump and dump.

So guys, after 2 years of trading i am going to stop. (unless i have full time to trade, which i currently don't)

I have calculated all my trades on the various platforms i have used in the last couple years.

Deposited: 47BTC (roughly)

Withdrew: 40BTC (roughly)

Overall i am happy with the results, i would pay 7 BTC anyday for what i have learned so far.

Now the question is: what the fuck do i do now with my money.
i will suggest you to invest your btc at casino sites in small small amount , in this way you will get earning without doing any more trading like tedious work .
otherwise you can make own investment site or cloudmining site with less Profit .
If you are suggesting for to gamble with his money on these casino sites then it is not good to suggest like that because it is not a place to earn money and he will lose all of them while if he start his own casino then he will earn a good income from that amount.

I suggest you build up a business from your 40btc. From it you can start a small business on your own or try to invest it to some brokers if you do not have the time for trading. Of course choose a broker that has a high trust rating and have a excellent performance in the market. Use your 40btc to earn more.
you are right that build up your business from 40BTC and i think 40 Btc is enough amount for establish your business and i see that there is many people have do not time for trading and then they want to establish their own real business and if you get hard work for your business then i hope you will get success in your business.

Do anything you want with it. Build a business for the future. Or just gamble it if you don't care losing it. Buy something for yourself or treat someone you love. 40 btc is big enough to treat yourself for one day or invest it to something or building a business.
Build a business needs time to run and manage it. I think he should hold the bitcoins for future or say retirement because maybe the price of bitcoins by the time he retires get around 2000-5000$ then he would be really having a relaxed old age without the need of doing anything.

I come to a point where I need to question my staying in trading. I give it a try, but I lost too much. And several times I said no more and after some time I come back and try again.
I'm quitting, but I will not run away when I hear for some good investment coin. When I see some good tip I will try to cut my losses a bit.

It is the right decision what you took, when you feel that you are giving too much of time and not earning well then it is much better to take a break and come back with full energy or you can always have a watch on the market and when ever their is any good investment option you can just enter and enjoy the profit.

Its  really good to  put  up  money when you saw theres a  potential  or opportunity that we could able to earn from it.  Trading  may not  for us  for some   time but  with  the help of others such  as giving   us some  tips we could somehow  follow them and  luckily could able  to make profits. Quiting  is not  a way though   but   if  you learn  how  to  dive  up  opportunities  then  its really a good  move anytime.

Maybe it's better to take a few months distance from trading where you purely focus on what exactly you did wrong.

Mistakes where you experience some losses are normal at the beginning, but the main point is that you learn from your trading errors and turn them into profitable trades after a while.

But it will be good to know what exactly you were trading. If it was Bitcoin, then all the above mentioned apply, but if you're talking about altcoins, then it's different.

The altcoin industry is purely based on hype and speculation around trending coins. You either need a lot luck to make profits, or you need insider information when you're close to the devs.

Try C-cex. It is to easy to understand it. Better not to put all of your money in just one coin.

I Think that it Happens With You Because When You are New to Trading then You Deposited 47 Btc in Trading and I Know You Have Knowledge About Trading But I Think that You have Less Experience about Trading that's the Reason You Lost 7 Btc In Trading Or You Focus on Earning at Beginning and Don't Focus On Learning That's also Can Be A Reason For Your Losses......
You have a  point  but   considering on the price of bitcoin 2 years  ago when  op put  it  up  into trading  is quite  low compared as  of todays and   also   2 years is already  long   and for sure you would  really learn about trading  , it may takes  more time  but  2 years  would   be  enough  but it seems  OP isnt effective on trading thats why  he decided to  quit  to prevent more lose which is  a  good decision to me.
Thats true OP have lose big amount of bitcoin and now trading is much risky because they are more shitcoins aroun in the exchanger now.

gamble is really bad decision especially if he's holding that big amount of money, his greediness will lure him to bet more when he's losing, and it's normal for all people to have this kind of behaviour but it's about how to prevent it to be happening,so gambling is not right
Yes, actually advising such a pro trader to gamble is not worth it, if he had time to gamble maybe he would have continued to trade and earn. I think gambling will just make him loose those 40 BTC in very quick time itself and then making him feel so depressed that he even looses all his earnings and salary together.

Or after quitting, he can start a traditional business and manage it. If he is good enough he can be successful. But above all, he can his  this is a good way to determine your success by doing what you loved or passion.
Right, why does he need to do anything when he is actually done with online earnings Smiley
He should just save the coins for his future and maybe once again he gets a time in his life where he has a lot of free time and hence start trading again, then the knowledge will come into play and help him.

Lol it you lose doesn't mean you need to quit in every time NO = next opportunity don't lose faith and hope everything will be alright if you are going to quit that early you will not complete what you dreamed for don't mind if you lose or make you profit the positive side will make you rich someday and for that mistake you will learned something.

Not necessarily as you might learn from your mistakes, but it ain't always good to just try and try and takes a lot of courage to leave it...
Losing 7 BTC and then stopping is still a good decision because just think, what if he would have gone into complete loss???
Correct and not only that, while the OP tell us that he learned a lot, and I have no doubt about that, the truth is he would have been better just holding his bitcoins and to wait for a price increase.
But what is the pick in just holding and not learning anything new ?
I have been also trading and yeah I have been in loss only I guess but like OP I would also have done trading had I knew I would give that much loss. Apart from trading I have learned a lot about mining too.

Not all people can wait for the money in bitcoin, some wants to do trading as they want to make an active income as much as possible and holding needs us to be patient because the outcome varies when the price of bitcoin will have a substantial increase in the future, and considering the amount of money OP has mention, I think that is not good enough.
Exactly ! Because just holding them is pretty dumb.
I think that trading even if gives losses in short period like OP said he learned a lot and now he can easily make profits but unfortunately he has no time now. So rather than just holding or gambling better to do trading and learn with time.

Don't quit, its part of your growth. At thr first, many hindrances would came into our life but the last you will be successful person.
Negative thoughts will make you weak, the result is like that what you said, you will quit or stop but the positive will make even you had lose already a  money, the result you will be a successful person.
So put into your mind the positive thought thoughts with wise personality and actions.

I like what you said, and its the fact that losing or frustrations are part of growing. Since we are into bitcoin / trading industry, losing is essential and if you can't accept the fact of losing then this is not for you. But if you will not give up and you manage to stand again then for sure success is going to be with you, just don't give up.
But it’s very clear that after two years of trying thing did not work out for the OP, he lost money and now it’s moving on precisely because trading is not for him. This is not a matter of will but of economic common sense.
