Dumping coins at high, then creating FUD and buys back low. Such a great strategy, I speculate Tesla didn't sold entire their portfolio but a portion. Elon will keep winning and we will be losing our position. Don't following like a sheep, don't give any value to this guy. I'm done with him, people need to stop talking Elon Musk and Tesla.

Can he even legally say that he sold it? I mean crypto is still mostly unregulated however the issue is with TSLA stock. If he says that they sold it, people will know that it was at a profit of at least 50% and it will affect the value of the stock, this can be considered insider trading.

When he said 'indeed' I don't think he meant that they sold the entire position. I just think that the Bitcoin people were distrespectful why he choose doge. They called it a shitcoin and maybe hurt he ego and this is why he is saying bad things about BTC.

Either way, pretty crazy how those few tweets caused a huge BTC crash pretty much, even starting with the TSLA doesn't accept BTC for cars anymore.

As far as I know, I'm pretty sure he can legally say it. I mean, ARK Invest are publicizing their daily purchases/sells. The potential problem here is with Tesla selling their bitcoin after Elon has been trashing bitcoin recently. If they did sell, I'd imagine the SEC would be knocking on their door in no time.

Making such move makes ZERO sense though.
His actions make a lot of sense actually but I don't think Tesla is going to sell all their bitcoins because of this. But he definitely sold a big amount of bitcoin before he began the FUD and also he definitely bought a lot of shitcoin called DOGE at the same time. The funny thing is that he is actually starting to lose a lot of money since DOGE is dumping faster than bitcoin now Wink

There is a problem with this kind of behavior and it's that people can do it only once. There is no coming back for Elon, he is now known as a malicious market manipulator. Sooner or later bitcoin price is going to go back up again while DOGE will go back down to below 1 satoshi. By then even if he crawls back kissing bitcoin's ass he will be ignored.

He doesn't have to sell BTC, like anything he can just hedge it in the open market until he / TSLA is satisfied the price is at a lower level that will stabilize.   I think companies are allowed to do that without declaring anything, I guess retrospectively we'll find out but its a normal activity so far as I know.

People have been strongly stating this criticism of Bitcoin for a very long time, maybe not at the beginning because it was smaller then but always protocol was viewed negatively the way its constantly requiring more energy and resources.  I do wonder if thats why Warren Buffet or similar skeptics dislike it in such strong terms, because in this way its the opposite of realising efficiencies.  From their point of view its easily a negative but I never view anything in isolation, BTC solves many problems for the little people I just wish it focused on that instead bowing to Musk or any whale as they wont be what determines BTC success imo.

I also think Elon has already did that. He cannot be holding at least a billion USD worth of Bitcoin while at the same time criticizing it. That is a suicide for him. He must have already sold a lot or all of it before starting to issue statements against Bitcoin. But it is his decision. He is the owner of his Bitcoin. He is absolutely free to do so.

I think Elon is behaving more childish than an average crypto trader.

Making such move makes ZERO sense though. Selling bitcoin just because you had beef with the community? Bro. I also sold my Amazon shares because my $AMZN shareholder neighbor called me a twat. smh Roll Eyes

Despite their statement of declaration that Tesla will not sell their coins held, I speculate that they might have sold it days later. Elon appears to be behaving similar to the average cryptocoin trader in the forum after dumping hehehe.

Also, why would Elon continue to risk $1 billion of shareholder’s money by destroying Tesla’s own investment in bitcoin? Tesla might not be holding bitcoin anymore!
