For long term purposes, we can buy anytime as long as long it's not in the bull run so we will be able to get a good price.
If we want to get a good price, it should be during the bear market, like last year, but that was over, those who bought at below $4,000 can still cash out and enjoy the profit now, or if they want to risk a bit, they can wait for a bit for bitcoin to rise further as it's expected to break it's ATH soon.

Surely you must know by now, if you have the experience to say "a long time ago", that this is the same phrase people used in all the past cycles? That people miss their chances and they are too late? People kept missing their chances at every opportunity because of that mentality. But at the same time, as you said, people also keep trying to win the lottery and these dual mentalities keep them in the corner.

I too think many people have missed the chance of getting bitcoin at a cheaper price because bitcoin is not going down to 4k anymore and the real bullrun havent started yet

Its never too late for people to get into crypto, I'm still hoping that we're in the dip and we can get to a new ATH next year with the help of BTC Halvening. And as for the technology, we're still in the stage of starting and having legitimate blockchain companies helping big enterprises with their products, and many more. We can say that it's now being recognized by major companies by implementing crypto into their system and I feel like that time will come where it will be widely known and accepted as a digital currency.

True! People usually think hodling is the only way to make profits. But it isn't true especially when you dealing in investment as volatile as bitcoin. It is always better to sense market in advance and keep shorting periodically.
One can also try future markets and make some additional profits.
