Lol, please stop this sort of boring topics like "Why I don't get merits? I know why I don't get merits. When I get merits? How to get activity in the forum? How to get merits? etc.?". Those ones have become more popular recent days. I have a theory that there are account farmings tried bombing Meta board to get both postcounts and merits.
Please don't bomb the Meta board with your shitshows.
It's interesting to see spammers joined Meta board and shown their 'pseudo-constructive efforts' to beg for merits.
However, please stop this because such fake-efforts will never get merits.

I always love how bounty spammers come to Meta and make one post other than just Facebook and Twitter links, only to complain they don't get merit for their spam.

Guess what: that's exactly what the Merit system was designed to do!

From the topic itself "I understood why I do not get Merit". Then don't blame the system why you don't rank up in the end. I'm sure that this won't be your last thread containing blah blah about Merit System. I'm sure that when you've been pissed off of not receiving any Merits, you'll definitely make another thread complaining about your problem Smiley If you really understood why you don't get Merits, then make a solution to those reasons why no one can't even give you a single Merit. You knew those reasons isn't?

But if you're not interested in getting Merits, then your shitposts are way much better not to exist. I'm not just talking to you OP, I'm also pertaining to everyone, including myself Smiley

Merit is not the goal itself. Simply communicate, learn new information, get PLEASURE. After all, the merit, beyond this forum, has no value.

1. Nobody knows when he will get a merit

Isn't that fun ? When you login after few days and see some merits in your profile, you will feel compelled to check the posts that gave you merit. I am still to enjoy that feeling. It will fade away with time though in my opinion.

3. Do not tell anyone about the merit

You cannot hide it. Your profile will easily give all details about it to the viewers. We can see your merits and posts which got it. The data regarding who gave it is also stored for some days.

So many of these type of posts.

Essentially an attempted 'insightful' post from someone who pretends they don't want merit, but actually does, and disguises it by singing the praises of the merit system that has seen them receive zero merit. How original.

I broke 10 of the 20 merit's commandments.

1. Nobody knows when he will get a merit
2. Never rely on receiving a merit
3. Do not tell anyone about the merit
4. No one owes you merit
5. And merit himself does not
6. Because it simply merit
7. The volume of text does not affect the reception of merit
8. And the pictures also do not affect
9. And even humorous pictures do not affect
10. Merit is received - when they forget about it
11. The more you chase after the merit - the faster it runs away from you
12. To deceive yourself by "hammering a bolt" will not help - it measures the true desire
13. Do not listen to anyone - write what you think
14. It happens that merits do not go by themselves.
15. Merits have allergy to bounty and copy-paste
16. Love for merit is non-reciprocal, it is worth understanding and living with it
17. Merit does not like being asked
18. Merit does not tolerate pity and does not come to tears
19. Merit will not give new knowledge
20. And does not add zeros to the bank account

Only after gaining knowledge - merit will cease to be the main goal.
And when he measures it, he will come himself

(I found these commandments in the Russian topic, but perhaps this is not the original - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.35267149)

How many commandments have you violated?  Wink

You broke 10 out 20 merit's commandments. So which one did you break Huh
Its normally when you don't break any 1 of merit's commandments, but you don't receive any Merit. So its better to understand how to make a quality post than understand how to not break merit's commandments.
Feel free to read some post about how to make a quality post here:

With administrators, I think not. But other forum members look at your merit and your messages get serious weight.

I don't think that is true. The bounty spammer network has reduced the significance of merits. The things that I find significant are the post content, and my opinion of the poster. Things that will drop its significance in my opinion are - excessive formatting, redundant images, bad structure, and rubbish content.

Why you never got any merit so far is because you have been merit conscious. Forget about it, contribute to topics that interests you, go about your daily activities here and viola someone out there will find your efforts merit able and merit it. It's true the merit system made me not to rank up but then again am embracing the forum for what it really iseant for and forgetting about merit. It has been good so far.

Rule #1: Never mention about merit in your threads.
Rule #2: Never mention about merit in your topics.
Rule #3: Never feel down, dissapointed when merit have not come to your account.
Rule #4: Never pay your attention on your merits, your rank.
Rule #5: Keep learning, keep composing constructive threads/ topics, merits will come someday. (this is very common recommendations in the forum after the launch day of merit system and new rank requirements, so I believe you feel tired with it  Grin)

People on this forum are way to obsessed about merit if you ask me. Still not sure what merit even is, and at this point I really don't care anymore. Does it get me preferential treatment with the admins?

The way to go about attaining Merit, is to construct quality posts that are well explained and logical/relevant.

For the life of me i cannot understand the fascination surrounding Merit, if it bothers you that much then i'm sure you'd have worked out by now how to get even a little bit? Your activity suggests you've been here quite a while so surely you must have seen a few posts that give you the WOW factor.

Look and learn from other people, if you REALLY REALLY wanted merit you'd be able to get it. Like anything in life- its a case of you just having to put the effort in and the reward will follow.

I post this as constructive criticism by the way, just trying to help you. Good luck

I really like it when people are so detailed and clearly respond. I think I'm on the right track.
At first I had no idea what was going on here. Then I thought that it was not serious. But now I think I understand what's going on here. Now I can not leave the world of crypto-currency.

Thank you for your kind advice.

1. Nobody knows when he will get a merit

Please send 1btc to the address in my signature immediately!

Doing so will prove in a court of law that you understood your mistake and made immediate changes to correct it.

This suggestion to change "he" to a gender neutral term constitutes my legal advice.  You are no longer liable for any damages once you send the 1btc payment.

But then both of you are liable for a 1BTC charge to me.

1. Nobody knows when he will get a merit
2. Never rely on receiving a merit
Both of these are true, otherwise the system will get tricked into giving merit when it is not due.

3. Do not tell anyone about the merit
You appear to have not learnt your lesson here.

4. No one owes you merit
5. And merit himself does not
6. Because it simply merit
Who's merit?

10. Merit is received - when they forget about it
yes

Ok. But I have only a mobile wallet. The mobile account ran out of money and I can not go online. Can you put me money on my number and then I will send you 1 btc?

Trust me if you were the original idea creator of this topic then I would already seen a lot of merits under your name.
PS: Improve you post quality.
Thank you. I'm sure that I can. We tried very hard with my wife to translate this into English.
