I do now understand your “Paper wallet or Trezor ”  is very fine advice.

I don't feel to bad about it all, partly due to a physical I paid just a couple of hundred pounds for I sold over the new year for almost  £12.000..
So all in all I have made good profit thanks to this strange new currency :-)
Perhaps you can see why I favour physical – its much harder for the technology feeble like myself to muck up or loose ..
So onwards and upwards to a brighter future I hope.

Ahhh..sorry to hear that mate....plenty of stories like that out there!

Well lesson learned. Anytime you buy a bitcoin NEVER leave anywhere but your own WALLET.

And create backups to that wallet as well. Paper wallet or Trezor is the way to go IMO.

There is a saying...those who own the GOLD make the Golden rules.

I say, those who own the PRIVATE KEYS own the BITCOIN..so don't leave on exchanges either.

Thank you everybody !!
Sounds like manchester would be good education for my dinosaur technophob madbloke well-being.

I have eventually placed and order with Denarium and am awaiting its arrival, but you lovely people must know how these things are – you buy one and just simply must have another one :-/

I shall also take a peek at Viz.

Do you think the Manchester thing my be of use to a silly person who stupidly brought one btc many years ago (not physical) without understand anything about it, And then lost his email address so can not retrieve it ?

Silly madbloke

You sound like an excellent candidate  Cheesy

And be careful once you buy one its all over, you cant stop. Smiley

It was a few years ago.
Back then I didn't have a PC so asked my son to buy for me, he knew even less about this new bit coin than I did.
I paid something like 2 or 3 hundred pounds to a site called bit bargain.
They said they wouldn't accept my sons yahoo email for the transaction so he opened a new email account with somebody else and the deal was done.

Decided to sell this xmass when the price was high but discovered we only have a long code number and needed more for retrieval.
My son contacted bitbargan and some blockchain people and we though we were going to sort it out but the stumbling block is – bitbargain will only send the info to that email address and as that email address had never been used since its first creation the email company had closed it.
Tried to get them to reinstate it but they say no as it has been to long.
Tried to re apply for same address but its says not available and it doesn't seem to be in use by anybody else.

If this all sounds messy I am sure it is because we dont know what we are doing.

Another story -
I also lost 81 light coin that I purchased back then but I am working at getting them back, bit bargain has been taxing them and say only 38 left but I may be able to get them soon.

Can you all stop laughing now please :-)

ill see you tomorrow its bed for me now.
Big Ups to all .

Hi Lesbian Cow
unfortunately I am cash only buyer and ignorant to the ways of this auction.

Hi madbloke,

As you are UK based I can offer two good suggestions for buying a physical 0.1 btc for cash:

1)  Attend Coinfest UK http://coinfestuk.org/CF2018/  there will be sellers of physicals there, many from this forum.

2)  Contact user vizique, owner of https://physicalbitcoins.co.uk/

Good luck in your search!

Yes i would vouch for vizique and his shop lesbiancow posted above.  You can probably source one through him and his shop

I would still like to get my hands on a 0.1 CASASCIUS  :-)

Percentage wise these wont be a small premium, you literally picked the coin with the higjest premium out there.  Good choice but you are gonna pay for it

hello lovely people, thanks for your reply s

re - “Where are you located? ” loughton essex but can travel .

I thought my question was a long shot, a small premium would acceptable.
Just in case a seller reads this in the near future and im not checking back frequently enough ill leave an email address here now  [email protected]

thanks

There arent any real small premium creator loaded coins out there.  Best id say would be to search for a loaded brass lealana tenth.  The cas silver will run you a decent premium
