welcome to this forum, no need to rush, you can start by reading some threads for beginners and start from there. always make sure that your posts are quality, not spam, and not off topic. if someone criticizes you, don't take it to heart, use it as advice for you to grow in this forum. if you can comply with all of that and are willing to accept advice from the members on this forum, i am sure that you can become a quality member who can contribute to building this forum to be the best.

Please advise people who have experience. I don't know how deep I can get into a subject. Actually there are many things here. Where do I start? Thanks in advance for the advice.

My advice is to start reading more than writing, because in order to contribute to the forum in some way, you first need to learn something. Do not use AI chat, do not plagiarize and paraphrase, learn how to properly format posts and that walls of text often do not make sense since few members will decide to read them.

There is no great wisdom here, things are quite simple if you don't decide to complicate them yourself.

I'm actually fairly new to this forum. Although it's been a while since I joined this forum. I have also posted with some new topics already. But to be honest, I'm really confused. I would like to introduce myself completely new to this forum. I actually know very little about this forum. Now my heart desires that I will actually learn about any topic in this forum? What can I contribute? Or how do I put my role in this forum? Please advise people who have experience. I don't know how deep I can get into a subject. Actually there are many things here. Where do I start? Thanks in advance for the advice.
First of all welcome to this forum mate. There are many rules in this forum if you can master them first then it will be easier for you to know more about this forum. Actually we all are connected to this forum but this forum is vast in knowledge. If you don't understand or don't know anything about cryptocurrency then you can easily learn and understand from this forum. One must prioritize one's will power before knowing anything. If you set out to learn something, you will definitely learn it if you try. If you want to gain a broader knowledge of this forum, explore the Bitcoin Discussion, Metaboard and other boards including the Beginniners and Help boards.

Now let's see how you can contribute to this forum. First of all if you want to contribute to this forum then you need to post good/high quality/theoretical and important posts from which people can benefit in various ways and learn something new.

There are different ways to contribute to the forum. You can contribute to the forum by posting good/high quality posts, reporting spam posts, scam posts or other posts that may cause trouble or problem for other forum members like resulting in losing money and report those who plagiarized topics. I think your problem is how to get merited here in the forum since you wanted to contribute and when a forum contributed to the forum are usually getting merited because of what they have done that is really helpful.

Actually there are many things here. Where do I start?
It's a good question and we're the same question when I was also a newbie here in the forum.
Where do I begin?
Invest your precious time reading all of those pinned threads or sticky topics that have very important content, that's what you need for now.
The same as other platforms when we're using them, we should know first the terms and conditions, and we should always know the dos and don'ts to avoid restrictions on our account.

We're free to ask and share knowledge here, so don't be shy as long as you follow the rules and guidelines.
If you're here asking how to gain merit, well, forget it, focus on learning instead and it will come to you without noticing it.
I honestly want to gain something from this forum. Here I would like to introduce. Apologies if I made any mistakes in my comments

No you don't commit any mistakes from your comments since its tolerable for newbies. After all you don't have enough knowledge on how this forum works s for sure there's a lot of people will understand your situation especially if you are confuse on something. Gladly you navigate this section since there a lot to learn here.

Although its bit confusing to apply all those suggestions here but try to focus on what you think more interesting and understand it. Once you got knowledge or learn from that suggestion then move to the next topic then learn again. This maybe a long study to be made but for sure all will be worth it especially if you are consistent and have an good attitude and patience to adopt those important matter that can help your crypto career.

Mate I am also a newbie in this forum You get a single merit but till today no response from senior. Maybe I m not deserve about merit. Welcome to the forum! It's great to have you here however You are most senior to me. I hope we should be take some time to browse through the various topics and discussions on the forum. We can start by reading existing threads and comments to get a feel for the community and the types of discussions that take place.Maybe we don't have to dive deep into a subject right away start by participating in discussions that seem approachable.
The forum is not all about merits but about learning and studying well, because you may make a post today, and tou don't get merited at the start but on the long run, you still see people giving you merits in the future in fact up to years you can get merited for a contribution you make, so this is not about getting merited but about making quality contributions to discussions here.

Then again, be for now there is nothing like merits from other merits sources or members, up until 2018 when the merit system was introduced to the forum, and since then, this have helped to increase the quality of posts that member make, but even at that, themos may decide to introduce something else in the future that can replace merits,  so why border so much about your immediate merits or getting yourself worked up.
Boss! I have read your advice and realized.Your point about the long-term impact of contributions is particularly noteworthy sometimes the value of a post may not be immediately recognized but over time it can garner attention and appreciation am i right?

Welcome OP.

Make reading a habit and if you think that topic is for you and you are really interested to know more about. It won't hurt you to join the discussion and ask some questions that makes sense and don't get off topic with it.

The contribution that you can do is that, not everyone here that's high rank has always been knowledgeable with the lower ranks. So, if you've got some knowledge to share on an actual topic, don't be shy to share it.
Invest yourself in the forum. Make a lot of reading and comprehend every topic that you get interested in the forum. By being an open-minded person, fill your mind with different ideas and insights that are new to you, and learn from them as others may also gained new information and ideas from what you share to them. Make sure to follow all the rules and show respect in all other members so that you will gain respect in return. And lastly, trust in yourself that you have a lot of potentials and resources deep within yourself. Cultivate them so you can make advantage on it and maximize your time learning since it will reflect later on based on how you understand and value the forum itself.
Thank you so much for inspiring me. Your comment inspired me a lot. It seems that I have become interested in working in a new way. I was a bit disappointed but regained confidence with your comment
There's more to learn and you have to take a step at a time. Don't get confused because the quicker that you want to learn everything, you'll have hard time taking them all and extracting all of it.

You have the confidence into growing as a person through the forum and if you see your potential from within, believe that you can do it.

Don't forget to ask questions when you don't understand things as they'll be able to help you understand them clearer.

I think what is making you get confused,  you feel you need to contribute to every topic in the forum. You don't need to put yourself on pressure just because you want to contribute to forum topics. I know you are a beginner  of bitcoin and you don't know much about bitcoin,  just take your time and learn, don't try to rush everything at a time . It is impossible to learn things with pressure,  learning is a gradual process and if you consistent in learning it won't take you time you will gain lot of knowledge.

Trying to meet up with forum discussions is one of the reason why most beginners in the forum always end up commiting plagiarism  is because they are in rush to meet up the standard of other forum members and they will have no choice than to take someone's writeup that doesn't belong to them. Don't rush , just learn first and you will flow well in contributing to discussions.

First of all dear Welcome to the Forum. You need to stay active on the form and this thing will help you to learn a lot of things because the more you spend your time here the more you will learn as you will see a lot of informative threads that are shared by your senior members. Through all these, you will have a good idea you can also share/create threads as people are sharing.

I would like to give you advice that do not share any personal information on the forum as it is an anonymous forum and members do not share their personal information. These things will maintain your account health. You will learn a lot here, you will learn about crypto space, and you will learn some investing techniques like DCA, Lump-Sum, etc. Just stay active and keep contributing on the forum with Good posting. All you need is to stop writing about a topic which you do not have any interest. Let's say you do not like Gambling and do not understand how casinos work well, do not engage in those topics. It's just an example. It could be possible that you do not know how Bitcoin mining works, or you do not have interest joining these discussion, but still you want to post because you want to earn some merits and some activity as well. If you want to know more about this forum, explore Meta board, beginner and helps and some other boards too. Explore old threads to learn more about forum events and features.

Let me start by extending a warm welcome to you on this fantastic forum, Mate. One thing about this forum is that everything will be much easier for you after you understand the rules and regulations. You won't find anything to be that difficult. You've obviously been on this topic for a while because you admitted to yourself that it has been a while since you joined. However, given that you mentioned that there are a number of places you are unsure about, how would you encourage others to feel comfortable asking questions about locations they are unsure of and you don't understand.

Once more, if you truly want your journey to be simple and quick, you can read through the prior thread that some other users respectfully started here. I see that you have received several recommendations of links, please try go through through them they will be very beneficial for you.

You don't need to border or stress yourself in anyway. What I think you should do is to be calm, and do more of reading and comprehension to know what the room is all about.  When I started in this forum I thought it was like Facebook where you will just login, reply some few people and zoom of. but as I stayed longer I discovered that BTT is more like a class where a teacher teaches the student and the students grow to teach there junior students. But If you can't read through and understand properly you might be left behind by your class mate and you will repeat thesame class. Where new student will become your mate due to dullness.

This forum is very organized and I've seen that some members have shared some links that will be helpful to you, so you can get busy with them. I'll advise that you don't totally rely on members in this forum to help you with everything that you need to learn, make your own personal research to atleast gain basic knowledge of crypto, then you can start topic or join in discussions. On areas where you need help, you just need to ask, and from my experience here, many experienced members will not hesitate to answer your questions, so how you increase your crypto knowledge in this forum totally depends on you.

You should avoid saying that you are fairly new to this forum when you have already spent a year on this forum. If you fail to know the details of this forum even after spending a year then you can learn a lot by visiting these links.

I would like to introduce myself completely new to this forum. I actually know very little about this forum.
You don't need to introduce you to this forum as a completely new member. Your member rank shows you are a new member and this introduction is not needed. Except if you are not a newbie, this introduction will be needed.

Quote
Now my heart desires that I will actually learn about any topic in this forum?
Not any topic, I am sure about that. There are good and bad topics in quality and even good topics, you will not have interest to learn all of them.

Start with forum rules, basic guides and keep rolling.

Quote
What can I contribute? Or how do I put my role in this forum?
Your first contribution is don't spam.

Reading first.
Don't make posts and don't try to make posts as if you post with this style, you will 'contribute' spam posts.

You don't need to be assign any role in this forum. You join to learn so let's keep learning and as a member of this forum, try to help other newbies if you know something helpful can share and help them.
