you want coin suggestions aka shilling shitcoins but i will give you a better suggestion. you should stop being lazy and wanting to rely on luck and others and instead start learning how the altcoin market works. you are wrong about altcoins bottoming out. the altcoin market is a sea of shitcoins that get pumped and dumped and at all times there are some that have bottomed out and some others that are still dumping and some others that are getting pumped. the number of them in the last group is always smaller.
for example in the past couple of days ENJIN was one of the shitcoins that got pumped (mostly because of some arbitrary news). BNB was another that was being pumped because of Binance DEX crap.
there are lots of others that are getting pumped like this. you have to find out which one is good at that time and jump on board (both of these that i mentioned are already too late to buy)

All due respect my friend, if you check my history I’ve been on this forum since 2014. So...I think I know a thing or two. Asking for suggestions from others does not usurp my own research or judgement. It’s a supplement. Thanks for your input.

Holding BTC is always better since it is less risky. Anyway, since you have asked for, I would suggest you invest little more in ETH. For new coin, DeepOnion can be a good choice. It has a continuous development although at the very beginning it was a copy cat trash.
my advice is also like that from bitcoin to altcoin like ethereum because this coin has potential like bitcoin and it is also very good for a good and promising investment place because many investors believe in ethereum

I don't think you need to invest in altcoins, only hold BTC that you have for long term, but if you still want to invest in altcoin, I suggest only 2-3% and I recommend you to invest in top 10 coinmarketcaps (don't choose altcoin for new listings)

I’m feeling like most altcoins have bottomed out for the most part. If things ever turn around, I think a lot of these projects will skyrocket.

I currently have 79% of my holdings in BTC. 8% Eth, 7% LTC, 3% BNB, and the rest in various shitcoins.

Let’s say I wanted to put 5% of my bitcoin into 3 projects...what would you recommend?

Thanks. (Please not shitcoin shills. Real projects. Real longevity.)
If you have extra funds better to buy altcoins like those coins you are holding, i don’t recommend to sold your bitcoin because the market depends on bitcoin. We know the price will pump when bitcoin rise again, so you better to keep holding. You have a good distribution of money, just increase your holdings for a more profitable future.

All the coin that you have is have a good future and there is no need for you to convert your bitcoins to other altcoins. But if you really want to have more coins you can use your extra money that you have. And I will recommendes ro you to buy also ripple,  neo,  eos and also waves that coin is potential coin not a sh*tcoin because that coin is proven and tested.

Wish I got into the BNB boat when it wasn't sailed yet but just below $10 seems a tad too pricey for me. I'm also seeing more and more interest in altcoins of late, people again start to talk about small coins with great potentials, so I wonder what I'm missing out on too!

I should have listened to my gut in 2018 though, so maybe I will also listen to it in 2019 and stay away!

I think you should pay attention to Obyte (GBYTE) - not so long ago the rebranded from Byteball Bytes.
Currently, the price is around $40, and may seem high, but the total supply is only 1,000,000
The community is growing all the time, and if the adoption is going to grow as till now, then the price should be soon skyrocketing.

Ethershift is a new platform but it was having some products that actively created revenue to be distributed to the token holders, another platform just like fetch looks good in my opinion.
PPT looks undervalued right now dude.

I would recommend investing with PundiX, PPT, and BNB.
These coins are undervalued right now and I think they jump up easily at the right time, these coins will not dump anymore so you'll get the best price now.

You must bear in mind that you will place 5% of your investment in Bitcoin in a project, where it is more likely that where you decide to place it, you can go down and follow a bearish race, we are in a phase of the market that is accumulation, if the bitcoin increases, It is beneficial, but if it falls, the most affected are the altcoins and the projects ... If you have a well planned diversification, as you have shown, my best advice is stay as is, just wait until Bitcoin is in an uptrend and your entire portfolio is green. It can last a long time, but it will be worth it.

For me, one of the most underrated projects that is still out of the top 100 on Coinamrketcap is Syscoin.
Very professional dev team who develope everything from the roadmap and in my opinion has a huge potential.

You're vision is awesome and I think you'll going to be successful in the future if you choose a better altcoins which afterwards bitcoin investments will become in demand. Putting some btc to alts investments is an optional strategy for gaining another potential profit for our asset growth. For the main time, most of the alts were having shit value because of bearish market and therefore waiting time is always the main concern.
