Honestly. Just let this go and consider it fortunate that MtGox will help you get back into your account.
You are wanting compensation, not for a consequential loss (which is impossible enough) but a theoretical consequential loss (super-impossible).
You still have the Bitcoins. If they rocket up in value would you give Google half the profits because you weren't able to sell them before they went up?

yesterday a bad thing happened to me. I have an account at MtGox, I activated OTP security. I was using Google Authenticator at my iPhone for getting OTP numbers.
Everything went fine until yesterday when I opened the Google Autheticator and the Token was gone. Just an option to add new Token. That silly app just dropped it. Now I know why this happened.
GA has this bug when you edit the token and change it's name to nothing (I did it because of why would people know this is a Token for MtGox if they steal my iPhone). So when you change it to null name after reopening the token is gone - Great functionality Google, thanks.
Now I have to unlink the OTP at MtGox which is 1 or more weeks process. I can't get into my account so I can't make money with arbitrage. If the Bitcoin will fall I can do nothing.
So I wish Google to pay for this. For their defense, they have pretty wide legal information inside the app which i didn't agree with, the iPhone is jailbroken but i think this issue will be the same at non jailbroken iOS.
Is here someone who could help me what to do next? Where to find lawyer which would be keen to go after Google and if Google would pay something then split it 50/50? Or is Google able to pay me for this? I am from Czech Republic (EU), visiting US from time to time. Skype would be the best.
