Hello Leo! You can still win.
My question is are people actually that rich or they just to like to show off ?
One day I was driving in the largest city in my country,  I passed the streets and malls. I was driving my lil nephew around the cities, he needed some Chokocho ice cream and I bought for him with an amount that is equivalent to 60 cents and we continue the journey until we met a certain residential area in an estate. My nephew needed such ice cream again and it was tagged as amount equivalent to $4 and people were happily buying.  But I refused to buy, instead I drove back to the former store where I bought for 60 cents.  That was the day I knew the difference in environment.
Op, you simply visited a very wealthy place where people's problems are no longer food, shelter and clothing.

A country is made up of good people and bad people. But London is a developed place.  Because UK is a developed country. However, as the income in London is high, so are the expenses. Everything is expensive there. To survive in London you have to be smart and hardworking. Don't think that all Londoners own a rolex royce. You have seen one side of the coin, but not the other.

Yes, I agree. London is a developed country so the life of this country is totally different from developing or underdeveloped countries. The lifestyle of London people is too much expensive. Because of that reason, the people of London need to earn as much as they can so that they can bear their living costs. People who live in London are hardworking. That is the reason they can do anything for their survival. Sometimes it's not easy but they are trying their hard and soul.

Becouse this kind of wealth not Even in new york i been in NYC there is a lot visible poverty and homeless people the streets not looking like it's some wealth paradize compared with London UK Also i been in Canada cities they are Nice but the huge wealth doesn't flash out like London i mean in London it's grazy how much wealth you gona see it got me thinking Are UK London living standard are higher than other countries?

My question is are people actually that rich or they just to like to show off ?

London is awesome, every time I go there it's a lot of fun and I have a great time. Spending a long weekend over there and enjoying the atmosphere is great, they have so many different bars, restaurants and clubs. If I were young again, I would have liked to live and work for a while in London. First of all, London is very different from the rest of UK, just go to a random city up North or the West and you will see the difference very quickly. Living expenses are so much higher in London, which is why many people live outside of the city centre. With all the big train stations, there are so many commuters coming in every day just to work in the city. Most jobs I think are in the service industry, but there you won't make enough money to buy a property in the city and go to all the fancy stores. Many of the luxury stores are for the super-rich people and are not meant to be for the average consumer. A lot of billionaires have apartments in London and you will see their cars on the streets or when they go out at night. There will be a few people that like to show off in London, but there are definitely a large number of high-net-worth individuals that live and work there. London is very open and has good laws for foreign citizens.

You would pretty much find the capital city of most countries of the earth to be filled with good vibes, happy and wealthy people. You’ll find that in most capital cities of various countries, it’s not entirely cheap to generally live there so you should expect to see sights like that.

People are different and therefore, have different tastes and preferences on how to spend their money. You coincidentally happened upon several scenes where wealth was displayed in London and automatically had the opinion that the standard of living in the UK is much higher.

I have only seen this happened on media sector, they hardly show areas with poor infrastructure, poor citizens but rather we get to see the clean and fancy cities when showing developed countries. When you get to rich cities in UK the lifestyle there looks expensive and definitely things are expensive, you should take time to visit UK often if you're so curious to know or rather visit other cities then you'll find out that not everyone can live to such high standard . It's obvious when you visited the city you came across wealthy people cause an average citizen in UK can't live in an expensive city with high standard.

All the countries you mentioned here are very developed and prosperous in my view. We always hear positive things about all these countries, they have never faced financial crisis. You can never judge the rich or the poor by looking at a person. There are many people who have a lot of money but they don't think about their clothes. They are very rich because they love to live a very normal life. There are many people whose behavior is very advanced. They are always in a lot of confusion. There are but in reality they are not very rich so a person can never be judged by looking at the outside whether he is rich or poor.

Our view of a place is often influenced by the ideal image or stereotype we receive through the media or stories from other people who have visited there, for example the OP admired her holiday in London. But in reality, every place has its own good and bad sides.

And London is not as beautiful and nice as we imagine and what other people tell us, and the area where we live is not as bad as we feel. Because behind the luxury in London, it is possible that there are some of its citizens who live on the poverty line, full of suffering and many whose lives are marginalized by the harsh and expensive life there. Remember, the capital is crueler than the stepmother...hihi

Therefore, it is quite important to understand that there is not a single place in this world that is perfect, but only seems perfect. We need to see this not just from one point of view, and by taking a realistic view of a place, this can help us understand the dynamics of life and social society well.

Usually the latter. According to surveys, the average household in the UK has £12,500 in savings, but a quarter of households only have 2k.
With the average salary per year being £33k, most families have only 4 months of their monthly wage saved up. That's very little, which means they're just your normal spenders.
For instance, I have about 250 monthly salaries saved up in fiat money + a hundred times more in bitcoin and I don't consider myself wealthy. When you see wealth everywhere, you're either from a poor country, or you're surrounded by showoff spenders who live on credit.

when you see a wealthy country… more often than not people think that everyone is rich and is doing well but actually even a very small percentage will show you that there is still some poverty they are just not of course lingering within the wealthy ppl

what you need to understand is that when a community or an area is rich, you probably won’t be there if you’re poor meaning to say probably a lot of people you saw already had money whether they are actually born and raised in london or not maybe they have their family companies that brought them to this kind of lifestyle

rich people often flock towards where other rich people are making it seem like the nation is doing really well but of course off the grids there are stories we do not know

When it comes to wealth, it's not just about who has the most fancy cars and yachts. It's also about how well the average person is doing. Places like Switzerland are known for their strong economies and high quality of life, which is pretty sweet. Sure, London might have the royals and some seriously impressive architecture, but it's also a city with its own unique mix of people and challenges. It's like everywhere else, really – a blend of the good and the not-so-good.

Looking at just one number, like GDP per capita, can give you a sense of a country's wealth, but it doesn't tell the whole story. Luxembourg might be high on that list, but it's a small country with a booming financial sector, so it's not quite an apples-to-apples comparison with other places. The UK is definitely a fascinating place with a rich history and a big heart when it comes to helping others. But like anywhere else, it's got its own set of issues to deal with too.

You can visit poor countries and still see the same lifestyle. I am from a poor country and there are some areas in my city where people pay hundreds of dollars in fancy restaurants, show up with very expensive cars and etc. You won't believe but in a country with an average 400$ a month salary, almost everyone owns iPhone. But when you visit their houses, you'll be amazed when you see how poor they look inside. Don't be amazed when you see that kind of lifestyle in London but always remember that that's not how everyone lives. Those people have such a good life because other people work very hard to earn money to buy food and feed their families, provide them with basics. You won't see this part of people in a central square with a Ferrarri.

I understand what you mean about poor countries but this is London he’s talking of. I think I didn’t really emphasize enough on how big London is. Imagine that there are places in London where people spend £3,000 to £4,000 a month just for what they call a studio apartment. So imagine a place where luxury exits so much, you shouldn’t be surprised or think otherwise if you see someone who looks wealthy. No one really cares about the iPhone you’re using there because there are wealthier people than those who even rush to buy it.

You went to one of the biggest cities of the world and the financial hub of England. They house many of the richest companies and people in the world.

London is also a shopping tourist destination for rich people from other countries too, so not all those people you see there are from London.

Most people are exited when they are shopping ... so it's natural that they would look happy. (A lot of them are knee deep in debt and they cry at home)

You can't compare with Ronab because all the rich elites live there and the economy and everything is developed.  With the current state of the economy in London everything is going on in football and cricket and everything depends on your money.  Currently if you consider London we have Bangladesh or low admission countries like India.  If you discuss them, you will see that there are many of them in India Bangladesh because they have to suffer a lot to get a handful of food.  In that case the cost of a Londoner living like one day in London is equal to the cost of a common man in Bangladesh for a month.  He never compares London to others, so it is natural that London life will be a bit civilized and beautiful.

The people you saw is very much the minority of the population. For every one of those guys there are tens of thousands who don’t have that much money & success. Try to be happy for what you have, there are a lot of people much worse off. Money doesn’t make you happy, material goods won’t help you be happy.
Exactly, and OP probably hasn't even been to some parts of the country that's got a lot of problems like muggers and roadmens, once OP settles in there, him falling in love with the country is definitely going to fade away and it's weird too that he's fallen in love with such a country when every Brit that I've talked are trying to get out because the weather there is rainy and there's not a lot of colors in the sky, most of the time it's gray but I could be biased about London because all I see about that city is negative, maybe there's something to love about them. Also I feel like OP is a rich person because London is such and expensive city right? And there's no way that he could see those opulent stuff without being able to afford it.

I don’t think that they are trying to show off. If it’s in the US, I may decline to answer or say that it could be show off but I think that what you saw is actual wealth. Also, don’t forget the fact that London is not a small place. It is wealthy and filled with different kinds of jobs. If you’re still there, ask the cost of getting an apartment and you’ll know that these people aren’t kidding there. But then know that there are places you’d go in the UK and you’d rather stay in your country or won’t believe it’s actually there.

and everyone probably knows that the UK is one of the richest countries in the world, they are known when it comes to fashion, expensive lifestyle, so it's no wonder if you see local citizens there who dress lavishly even on normal days. The cost of living is high if you live in that country but they also pay a lot for the people who work there so it's really just a balance. That is no longer surprising in countries that are in the 1st class country and because they are well managed so all the taxes paid by the citizens go to the right place.

The world throws shade like nobody's business. Fancy cars and bubbly bars in one part of town don't mean everyone's livin' large. Even in countries like the UK, with their supposedly rock-solid economies, folks still struggle to make ends meet. Stats can be tricky – they paint a pretty picture but might miss the cracks in the foundation.

Your friends in the UK might be better off financially than they were back home, but the price they pay is long hours and stress – sometimes even fainting at work! Crazy, right? Sure, you might not have the fanciest things in your country, but at least you get to spend time with your loved ones. That's worth more than any fancy car, in my book.

The truth is, there's no one-size-fits-all answer to where the "best" life is. Some folks chase the big bucks and fast pace, while others value quality time with family and a chill vibe, even if it means sacrificing some material comforts.

I do not live in London neither have I been to London. But in the country that I live there are high brow areas and low brow areas just as it is in other countries. The rich affluent and super wealthy always have a place for them in any city of the world.

You can't tell the economic crisis on them because they are the ones who influence major economic policies and lobby politicians to their favor. Therefore they should appear happy because. Some to of these rich people have been able escape paying taxes through some very legal means. So they enjoy it. While the poor are taxed on everything. And if they don't pay, they go to jail.
