what a year, wish I dump all the coin in late DEC lol

and today, spend the 100% from that capital and bought it again, so u still holding the same amount as late DEC while steady with the 900% profits..
I personally have sold it at the end of last year but the money I earned from my sales has been spent on personal needs in the real life, if at that time I still hold it, maybe now I've bought a lot of bitcoin and definitely have a much better profit when bitcoin prices soar again later.

Agree, it would be a cheapest price of bitcoin right now and also those altcoin it is just nice to do shopping in the market right now, but those holder like me i do hold altcoins over a time but now it really hurting me seeing that it is going down. It is difficult right now if i do really need money for something but the market is really down. It is quite some time right now hopefully it would be up

Funny thoughts from you guys. I'm quite sure not even one here would have hold through the up and downs. If you would have bought Bitcoin @1$ and it came to $100 then drop to $20 again and then suddenly reaches 100$ again you would have sold everything out  Grin

Maybe in a few years you will write "Shit i should have hold my Bitcoins @~$15k and sold it now for (~2020) for 200k."
Yes, that is one picture people are not getting. It is either you are trader or you are an investor and as an investor you just need to have patience even during all the fluctuations which are normal and never give up hope in the market.

It is a lot of risk to take holding through it all but that is understandable for anyone who has been able to familiarize with the market and understand it has a future. However, it is even more risky for someone trying to trade without any knowledge because that is how it gets so easy for people to make mistakes and seeing what you mentioned playing out.

Yeah in hindsight it is to say what one should have done and what not.
But that's not how things work in life. Try to learn from those events.
When we are in the next bull run and you see we are going parabolic, well take some profit. If price continues to climb, but not that that sharp anymore, take some more profit as a correction might be around the corner. And on the way down you average buy in again. Never try to catch the top or the bottom. Way too difficult if you're not a pro trader.

Why don't you sell it when the price already up highly? You want more? Lol, this is the very common thing to happen. Someone has a feeling that the price will always up but now, regret is the only thing we've got. So sad if I remember that day. Will it ever come again?

Provably he want more and we can't blame him since the bull run happened last DEC is so strong and many people though that those rally will continue until it reach for another huge price but turns out all things got worse since I'm so sure that many of us still bag holding some bits and alts and hoping to gain back what we lost in value when past Dec 2017 price range reached.

Yes, at this point and back after the BTC price may never be able to reach the price as at the end of 2017 for you to sell them. Current prices are down very low.

Yes if we could just read the future or we can predict what is coming then of course we will sell it all and buy it again today at lower price but unfortunately we are not a fortune teller and all we can do is to just wait and see while enduring those losses until we fully recover. Anyway we already knows that Bitcoin investments are very risky because the price is really unpredictable in which losing and regretting are part of the game.

And you would have been saying "I wish I didn't dump and kept hold of my investment in late december 2017" if the  price went more higher again, wouldn't you? You though the price might go more higher for which you kept on risking. To be honest, if you want to make profit, then you will have to be lucky too about holding and selling. Its already too late and won't help you at all if you regret. Regretting will just hamper your future investment strategies.

yes you are right you should buy when the cheap price like this because you have seen your own price can be very expensive and from year to year bitcoin prices can be very expensive.

we did not know that this is going to happen the way it happened and many speculators were saying bitcoin is going to hit $64,000 and $100,000 before end of December.
The best thing to do now is to hold or buy more as this was not expected.  Many traders cannot buy bitcoin at this level,  they are afraid of further dump but the whales and skillful investors are buying now.
Thinking back when I saw the market collapse again I wished I'd cashed out back in late 2017 but one thing I tell myself is that with time BTC has the potential to become even bigger. So this is only a small sacrifice
Investments into illiquid assets always has its consequences and repercussions. Traders are the one that are benefiting from this price fluctuations.
We should actually see this as a sacrifice for believing in bitcoin. You should know that whenever you sell you are part of the reason why price is falling and since you have hold this far you are contributing to bitcoin.

Well, feelings like this are one of the reasons why you should always sell out to cut loss. If you know that you can’t bear to go through these hard times, then the best thing for you to do is withdraw your money and cut your loss when it is still small, if you don’t do that, then you will be regretting.

But do not worry cause it’s not over yet, there is still going to be another chance for you to make profit again. You won’t make profit at all times, there are times you will see loss too. So don’t give up easily.

I have also washing for that and still I am dwelling from the mistakes that I have done from the past because if I ever do that I am now a millionaire in our country because here in our country in that time the 1 bitcoin is worth a million but in the other day the bitcoins fall down immediately I wont be abale to turn back time and sell.all my bitcoins that day I thought they can still rise much morem but no. So I just stick to the present and never do the same.mistakes again if ever that happen again.
Investing in cryptocurrency needs patience and courage to bear the loss. If you are impatience and cannot control your emotions about the pump and dump then you should not invest in crypto. It is long term investment and you should prepare yourself for long time. Don’t wish anything which is unnatural and not wish by all investors.

Everybody always wishes they caught the top of the wave, but few people realise where the top is. You shouldn't worry about absolutely maxing out your sales, you can simply put a sell order close to where you think it's next peak will be, and sell slightly under that to catch a good profit. Do this a few times and eventually you'll make just as match as you would if you had held it until ATH. I think active trading is much more efficient than simply holding now, because the market isn't on a massive uptrend anymore.

Really a good decision when you dumped your crypto back in December 2017. Many in crypto community regret not to sell bitcoin back then. And now bitcoin is barely pumping. Hope it will go like it was again this end of the year.
Yes at the end of this year price of bitcoin will be high, I think we should not repeat the mistake of selling at panic, but holding is the best choice for us, at the end of 2017 price of bitcoin was not too high but it I was rising more and more, we should hold our bitcoin as much as possible not to sell it, now a day is buying time as price is dumped and ready to rise too high so soon price of bitcoin will be more than double at the end of 2018.

It's a cool idea to do that, you can trash a piece in a short time and not sit waiting while it grows 2 times again. But here we have to be careful not to be discouraged by the choice of time and price tomorrow.
There will be no dump in the price anymore. I think today’s price is normal and little bit correction is good for bitcoin. In the previous year the price grew against the market cap and that is the reason that just a few months the price fell down again and most people lost their money. Now the situation is normal and the steady growth is according to market capital.
Who says there can be no dump in the market anymore ?
Do not be too quick to say what the market holds for the future but the thing here is that as long as you do not have what it takes to make short term market decisions, it is always better to just hold because at the point you are making that decision, things can go haywire for such an individual and end up losing even more.

Trading is not easy, but patience and investing what you can afford to see go down as an investor is the only way out which makes it easy to buy more when it goes down and when the market recovers, you are still going to be in solid gains anyway.

Oh come on.
What if I bought BTC when it was under 10$ and sold it when it reached $20k?
You didn't know what will happen, made the wrong decision and that's that.

Exactly, no one knows when we were going to see a reversal in the price of bitcoin, we knew it was close but that was it, besides as long as you bought your bitcoin before October of that year you made good profits, I have been holding for longer than that and even with the crash I am sitting in some good profits but with the price this low it is obvious I'm not going to sell now.
That is why we have the trend anyway but one thing I know is that there is actually no way we can know what is coming and what is not which makes it very hard to know what decision to make most of the time and most especially when one is not a trader in the market.

However, holding is never a problem for those who do not always know what to do in the market since there is no way a market will never reach its bottom and bounce back from there anyway, which makes me believe that the best thing to do is to hold and buy more in the cases of dips in the market.

It's a bit disappointing, but I think that you should forget about that and move on, it happened already. We didn't expect that the crash will be this big, even the experienced traders failed to predict the price. Bitcoin has just been too volatile this year, and we didn't saw the crash coming, I think we've just expected that the price will continuously raise.
