So I don't see them getting to 12 points, which would guarantee them of a spot in the semi-finals. Australia on the other hand just need to win 2 out of the 3 matches.

Well.. the fact that this edition of the world cup is being hosted by India has helped them quite a bit. Afghan spinners have performed well, and this has enabled them to rise to no.5 in the points table. But I would be rather cautious when I talk about the long-term perspective. They need to win more consistently in SENA nations, to be counted as one of the top full members. And now the issue is that they don't get opportunities to play in SENA nations often. Afghanistan is a tier-2 test nation, so the other teams are not required to setup bilaterals against them.

After beating Afghanistan in the first match I thought this World Cup will be memorable for Bangladesh. They might be able to perform very well in this World Cup. Because Bangladesh's p erformance against afghanistan was very organized. But we have seen bad performance of Bangladesh in every match except this one match. Especially the performance of the batsmen of Bangladesh is very bad. And the bad performance of the batsmen is the reason why England and Bangladesh are so bad.

I would say we got better performance than expected from Afghanistan. After the good performance of the bowlers, I was pretty sure that the Afghanistan team would win this match. Afghanistan bowlers bowled very controlled. FazalhaqFarooqi in particular bowled brilliantly. He gave only 34 runs in 10 overs and took 4 important wickets. Also, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Rashid Khan bowled very controlled. And that's why they were able to restrict the Sri Lankan team to just 241 runs. Along with good bowling by the bowlers, every batsman in the squad batted very well. And this is why the Afghanistan team won quite easily.

This was the interest news,both the Afghanistan and the Netherland made the victory over the strong team like England and Australia.So this match will be the nail biting one.In the last World Cup 2019,this two countries was in the bottom of the table from the beginning to the end and doesn’t qualify for the World Cup Semi Finals.So if any of this two team get into the semi final,this itself the biggest record for this two team.Because this two team not played many international games like England and Australia.So this World Cup tournament going to make record to be broken.The Rohit already started to broke the new world records by the sixes and the centuries.

Assuming they can defeat Netherlands, still they have to pull another thriller against Australia or SA to get to that 10 points. But definitely they are showing how to play an ODI game for some bigger teams and also not in any fancy way just by setting up them in conventional way. As of now, their middle order seams to be more stable after India and NZ. Kudos to their efforts and from SL point of view they put themselves under too much pressure which restrict them from playing their natural game.
