They lost their first two matches, and then went on to win 8 matches consecutively after that. This has become more or less a norm for Australia, as they always start poorly in the ICC tournaments, and then improve upon their performance in due course of time. India on the other hand are now having 10 consecutive wins during this world cup. At least I am glad that the two best teams are featuring in the world cup final this time. These two deserved to be there and we are all set for a high voltage encounter on 19th November.

South Africa have been a balanced team in the World Cup this year but they didn't play as per their plan yesterday instead they lost wickets first and were under so much pressure that they couldn't score enough runs to take the target. Moreover, the target of 213 runs for Australia is not an event, but South Africa managed to put pressure on the Australian batsmen towards the end. But unfortunately, Australia eventually reached the target of 213 for 7 and they finally qualified for the final.
