Not all ICOs are a profitable investment. To tell you the truth, in a growing market you can invest any project, and you will make a profit X2-X5. But as the recession in the market comes, then it is very difficult to choose a suitable project
Before investing in ICO i would suggest you carefully research about the one you want to invest to. Check it all from the idea to the team and with attention read the people's opinion about the project. There is surely a few criteria to see if it will be a succesful project or a scam. But it is not necessary, many projects that i thought would be a scam did become great ones. So invest in the project with really interesting idea, maybe solving some problem or the one you think will be useful in any way.

ICO is good but risky investments. Successful projects bring tremendous profits (like 10x). But at the same time, you can lose everything. It is necessary to good understand the project and analyze all the risks.
