not the best way but one of the many ways to invest your money to the crypto world.

Tree thinks you must be very very careful
1 The dev. behind the project
2 The future expectations of the new coin
3 And the price of the new ICO

Although it's been tried and tested formula and you may have seen lots of people making good money by investing in an ICO but not all of them are the best to invest in. It's like any other business where you invest only after having done good research about the business it's the same for an ICO too.

Furthermore, the number of new ICOs is growing rapidly so statistically, in the future, we will have much more failed projects as well.
It is true that there are more number of ICO now and even more are coming but there are some good projects too in between where we can make some profit if you are able to get a good bonus during the initial period,i am happy with the way things are going . Wink

Op, I have no idea if you're trolling or simply seeking attention or have no idea how ICO works. ICO is definitely not the best way to invest your money.
I am not trying to deny that we had some really great ICO projects. Ethereum was founded by ICO in 2013, and we have Golem, LISK, Waves and ICONOMI too.
On the flipside we have the biggest failure ever: Ethereum's DAO it is the largest ICOin history, this project brought in over $168 million USD.
The reason I am not necessarily keen to support every new ICO is simple: it is too hard to tell whether particular ICO will fall in the future.
Furthermore, the number of new ICOs is growing rapidly so statistically, in the future, we will have much more failed projects as well.

Do you think ICO is the best way to invest in?
Nope.
ICO is the best way to lose your money if the project is fraudulent  and the team doesn't meet their ICO targets.Your investment is basically gone if the ICO fails. You cannot predict anything actually. It's literally a hit or miss situation.

I am moving toward a portfolio mix which has a mix of adventurousness and core value: BERL 50%, 2-3 altcoins 30%, ICOs 20%

For BTC/ETH investments, probably yes. As there is no other way in which you can get a good profit by investing your btc, currently. Some exchange websites offer an interest rate but it's too less and trading is more risky now as after 1st August, a huge drop is expected. Investing in big ICOs at an early stage like a pre-ICO is beneficial as even 1 ETH can give you a good profit. Only the thing is that the ICO should be reputed and escrowed.

depend in what particular coin are you going to invest, its really a good way to earn if you got the right project because ico can make easy x2-x10 after hitting to an respected exchange but if you choose the wrong one it will take time for you just make a break even so better to look for quality project that have good plan for
future goal.

In fact many successful ico for investment, one investment that's been successful is mobilego. where at the time the ico they managed to raise more than $50 billion. For the ico will run I think coindash has a beneficial thing for you, because the technology or their vision critical limits stretcher is very interesting and different from the other. my hope is before you make an investment in ico. Take a look at the technology or plans they will do, after that take a look at the reaction of the majority of users of the forums here. Then it will give you some of the best description or prediction

Purchasing a coins at crowdsale and ICO are the best way of making great return in this venture. The advantage of buying a coins at ICO is that you will buy at the discounted price. Even in conventional trading, you need to buy at the discounted price to make high profit in selling at the retail price.

Absolutly not,
Holding is the best way to invest in cryptoworld,it's very hard to find a serious project/legitimate project in icos.many icos created only to take other people money and even you can see a serious project/legitimate project didnt have a good future(in price absolutly),something like DAO,VOX and many other cryptos.

So,in my point of view participating ico is not the best way to invest but holding is.for example XVG 6 months ago traded for only 2 satoshi, but right now you can see it how much it is ? More than 10x or even 100x from initial price if you bought it back then

No, it is not the best way to invest.  If you believe just because a coin puts out an ICO it somehow legitimises the project then you are wrong.  It is so easy now for someone to start an ICO using ETH with fancy graphics and nice sounding roadmaps without actually having to have anything in the pipeline.

There will be good ICOs that can work out but if you look at many of the ICOs over time the majority of them fall below ICO value after getting listed on an exchange as people want to cash out with some profit.

The best way to invest is to evaluate the project and not take into account the fact it is an ICO, there are many projects out there that have not felt the need to raise x amount of money prior to doing anything, a prime example of this is bitcoin itself.

At first time the ICO really promising with its reliable project .
But nowadays yeaaa some groups take it as an advantage to raising the fund with a not clear project or even fake projects.
So you need just to be smart to identify which one is a reliable and makes sense project or it is just for the sake of exit scam.

Do you think ICO is the best way to invest in?

Nope, ICO can't guarantee you success with your investments. It totally depends upon which ICO you invested and in 70% cases coin's value will drop once ICO ends.
So question comes how to determine whether coin will perform or not. Easiest way is by reading the vision of coin. If the coin is in hurry to raise some money and then hurried to list it on exchange, forget about it because it is 1000% sure value will drop.
But if coin has vision and laid plan. It is asking you time frame of 5-6 months to establish vision and then list coin on exchange, its value will surely rise.

Do you think ICO is the best way to invest in?

At the current market state, yes. Statistically the prize of last year ICOs are %%%% higher than the ICO. But only those who survived.
It's involve risk. Like any other investment. But lately I'm buying small amount of every promising alt and ICO and just wait.

Its definitely one of the best methods to invest because usually, the price doesn't go under the ICO price when the campaign ends. This depend on different factors though, If there is a lot of bounty, a lot of people will dump them because they gained them using easy work but as a general rule, as long as the ICO has a solid team and a realistic goal to reach within a known period of time, you should go for it.

I completely agree. I would also like to add that ICO is completely transparent and without intermediaries, it attracts this.

Yeah it is an opportunity if you get to buy ICO coins . But we should be very careful on the selection of coins. We should make a research of the particular coin we are going to buy. Volume of the coin and its market cap are to be observed since that help us to predict whether the coin is worthy or not.
If the coin is good, do buy it because we can gain more profit of it at the end. Because sooner or later everyone will start buying it at the higher price while we would have bought it at discounted rate.
