I agree with your points, but I won't say it is per se "the best". There are so many different ways and means to invest in the cryptocurrency market. However, if there is on thing that is somewhat sure, ICO is the easiest way to invest or at least get a hold of tokens and coins. It doesn't take too long, even at its longest, it wouldn't take years and years to be realized. Thus, you won't have to fear that your investment might rot or lead to nothing. Also, in ICOs whether it prospers or not, you have a safeguard to have your investment returned, either as is or with a profit. Either way, you don't lose much.

Of course it sounds very subjective, however, given the high profitability in this sector of the crypto currency market, it can be said that it's worth it! ico is a good way to invest when the ico is sold out. I would rather buy from the Bounty people when the ico is over and the course drops. Then you can buy cheap at etherdelta or other exchanges. and often cheaper than the best ico price

According to me, There are some ICO which are really giving good rate of return, but scenario can be different For example i am taking one example -
Let's suppose if i invest in ICO when ETH price about 300 USD, but ICO states that They will give you X2 return after three month.
at same time if i hold ETH for 3 month than rate of return can X4 if we talk about present value.
