There are specific ico that really has the potential to grow their coins if they will be focusing to continue the platform but most of the ico's today that are starting are scamming those participants of the campaign by not paying the exact amount that they should get and that will give a bad image to an ico.

Quite a correct statement, but there is a risk both here and there, so I think there is no difference between going straight to the stock exchange and investing in ICO, but of course this requires knowledge, it will not work without them.

ICO's currently are providing great returns on initial investments. ICO companies are starting to restrict citizens of countries from participating though. An example is US citizens because the SEC doesn't think ICO's are securities. Many ICO's do not want to deal with government down the road.
