The point is that the investors are afraid of investing in ICOs because there were too many scams or projects failed after ending of their ICO.

Startups need to put much effort in order to succeed in fundraising. Some promising ideas could simply not be heard due to lack of funds and as a result poor marketing. As for me, ICOs now = hype + money. Sometimes I can't understand how this or that one project is so popular within the community even without a prototype or a working solution.
So, carrying out an ICOs is a very cost-capacious activity. Maybe, the next version of ICO would solve such problems.

Now successful ICOs do not use traditional marketing. Devs pay more attention to the negotiations with huge investors.

At the initial stage, the Crypto-currency was tried to blacken. Addiction, fraud, terrorism - will scare anyone away. About the deceived investors and real estate investors can forget? Who is the owner of the printing press? People are simply robbed! I know how to get recognition of millions of people! In every city, in every district, it is necessary to create a campaign and propaganda headquarters. This headquarters will store propaganda products. To get the recognition of millions of people, we'll just put the tents at intersections and start distributing (sweaters, jackets, notebooks, key chains, pencils, caps) with Bitcoin symbols.

"Too many ICOs without successful products" should be the correct words?
There are obviously products everywhere ... how viable they are is what should matter. ICO just like other fund raising schemes is a good way to fund projects. People should be careful what they're throwing their money into. Sites like GoFundMe, Kickstarter, Indiegogo are raising funds for projects as well . .. Companies, Governments are raising billions for researches & projects.. with very little to show for. This sort of investments are risky as they are usually trial and error.
This ordinarily should be about investing in projects you care about.. unfortunately greed is taking over both the investors and project developers.  The greed has to stop!  Invest in viable projects,  invest what you can afford to lose. See your investment as donations and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Research the ICOs before investing in them

You have to choose quality ICO's.  There are still plenty out there that will net monster returns.  QSP for example just hit the crowd sale yesterday and it already hit 3x tier 2 ICO price and over double tier 4 ICO price.  The hard part is weeding through all the junk.  They're also handing out HODL bonus's for people who bough during the ICO to discourage people dumping right after it hits market.

Simple Token ICO is ongoing also.  They're kind of revolutionizing ICO's in that they everyone is paying the same price for tokens and if they're goal is reached then everyone gets a 20% bonus.  This should also help reduce dumping.  The community, or the worthwhile projects any way seem to be taking steps to rein in the madness.

Both of the above mentioned companies are doing big things too by the way.  I'm invested in both and everyone else who wants to make a buck should be too!

Thank you for the nice feedback Smiley

On top of lack of product, most projects are overambitious on the problem they are trying to solve.

ICOs are okay, the problems are the projects. Most projects has nothing to show for other than a promise of building a future product that will "change the world". Look for projects that has actual product or at least prototype.

There will be ICO coming out but only legit with product attached. The fake and scam ICO over these few months has actually cause some havoc on peoples pockets and emotions.
Yes so many ICO that only purpose is to scam investors the problem also is there is no regulation who monitor ICO every one can do his/her coins as long as he/she has money to shoulder fee in entering Exchange and Web development. this can affect future legit ICO

ICO price reduction and value is not in isolation of what is happening generally in cryptocurrency. As you are aware, bitcoin is having a metoric rise since the begining of the year. The bicoin rise will definitely affect every altcoin including token and ICO.Everything in cryptocurrency is connected to bitcoin!

Do you feel that era of ICO 1.0 is going down and market need something else?
Marketing is so expencive. Lot's of projects without product who collect lot's of money. Token prices is going down after release on exchanges. What do you think?
