I would also like to see a special tag for banned or temporarily banned users, if only to make it easier to avoid redundantly reporting spam posts.

As pointed out by The Pharmacist it probably makes sense to just use something amongst the lines of a straightforward "BANNED" label though. Alternatively I think a prohibited sign could make sense as an icon, but that might be just me.

There used to be 5 red crosses for scammers, but I haven't seen any of those lately.
Interesting to know this one.
I joined the forum months ago in 2017, so I did not witness the feature.
Moreover, specific signals for locked accounts should be considered and implemented too.
I think specific icon for locked account might have much help.

In a nutshell, different signals for scammers, banned, and locked accounts should be discussed more.

I remember that, as I was lurking here at the time.  By the time I created an account, all that scammer tag stuff was gone.  I think it'd be very useful to have a "banned" tag but I think this was discussed a while back and nothing came of it.

It would be interesting to go back and look at some older threads in sections like Bitcoin Discussion to see how many members have gotten banned.  Bet there would be a lot.

Absolutely, but it can be really useful to be able to see if our reports are being considered, though. I was thinking about if there is some way to know the banned stats in order to get a clear reference of how many users are banned per month, year, or even per day.
I`m curious.

Edit:  OP, I think those symbols you came up with are silly, however.  They don't tell anyone what's going on--you have to know what the symbols mean, and there should be a big "BANNED" label right under the avatar.  The same thing drives me nuts on smartphones, where there are icons that could mean anything, and you just have to know what they stand for.  It might look pretty, but I think it's a stupid concept.

As other people have already suggested, having their ranks changed in to banned would be great, we have the right to know who is banned and who is not banned. @admin, please show us the banned members by changing their rank: Banned. that's all we are asking.

Yes, it should be really useful. Sometimes I find some copy-pasters spammers and I report and report them ´till I get exhausted. To take a look at the modlog page is kind of messy. So, yes, in fact, it should be interesting to be able to know who is already banned and who is not, so we can decide if we continue reporting them or if it is time to stop...

Why administrators will not enter an icon for banned users? Many of them using account for airdrop and for other purposes. If icon will be they would not have had the opportunity use banned account.

I'm already in my previous post doing example:

temporary ban
permanent ban

Maybe you should do something like this
