What a shit thread.  This "Goldcoin" guy is claiming he's Satoshi, and another lunatic is hyping broken PoS scamcoins claiming BTC could go to 0 and alts that were designed from the ground up as scams wouldn't.

Most altcoins are bought with bitcoin, so if bitcoin goes down it'll take the alt coins with it.
In that case wouldn't price of bitcoin go up?Dont we have to pay more btc to buy same amount of bitcoin?

so you think that bitcoin will drop, after it increase by 100% from 200 since months? you are not doing a good prediction, there is basically zero chance that it will drop, there are more chance that it will stay there or it will increase a bit

litecoin will drop as well but will the other altcoins rise? I feel bitcoin price will drop, just a matter of time.

No. All alts are almost pegged to bitcoin. There are no alt what have a real word economy behind it, what would make it independent. If bitcoin drops everything else will go down as well.

Nope,   Smiley

BTC could disappear tomorrow and ALT coins with strong communities would continue on.
LTC & Doge would immediately become the main trading pairs instead of BTC, and not because they hold anything special,
it is just they already have Fiat trading pairs setup , so they would be switched to the quickest.

Crypto Revolution is underway, it does not matter if one falls, another will takes it's place quickly.  Cheesy

Yep: that's exactly what happened in the latter half of '14 and moreso last year.

Now that bitcoin is 100% co-opted and controlled by big banks, I agree that it has become vulnerable.

Fortunately, there are alternative cryptocurrencies with resistance to these influences. The key to success is in keeping core developers independent of company payrolls, and completely free from conflicts of interest. This can only be done if their reward is 'at most' the appreciation of their coin holdings.

A single benevolent core software architect is the key in furthering the vision of Satoshi. The dream has died with Bitcoin, but continues to live on in the grandchildren we now call altcoins. Goldcoin (GLD) has harnessed this great vision and is now positioned to become the currency that Nakamoto had originally planned.

Our developer is now recognized far-and-wide as "the second coming of Satoshi", the single greatest talent developing crypto today.

some of which I have seen and experienced, whereby when the price of bitcoin down, altcoin prices always rise and vice versa when the price of bitcoin increases, price altcoins decreases.

i have said this before about other altcoins going down because of bitcoin rising. now this is just reverse:

in my experience there are only a handful of altcoins like LTC that will be affected by bitcoin price and the rest are doing their thing, and even if they get affected it will be small.

Most altcoins cannot be bought directly. You need to buy BTC and exchange your BTC for alt's (there are a couple exceptions to this rule tough). In my opinion, this means that when bitcoin drops, the actual USD or € value of the altcoin will drop to, eventough the exchangerate BTC/ALT might rise, the actual price will most likely plummet and follow BTC.

There some markets based on altcoins. For example, in Poloniex, you can buy several coins with Monero.

Dear, and why you have decided that the price of Bitcoin will fall?
you possess information that is not available to others?
I'm just wondering where those conclusions, I would like specifics.
But many of us, on the contrary expect growth in the near future.

i'm a fan of the technology but it's still trying to decide if store or wealth or used as currency. 90% of the board think bitcoin will jump after July but just like the stock market, when everyone is going one way the market takes it down.

Bitcoin is stable, it can not crash so easy. A lot of BTC mining farms are working around the clock, and BTC have worldwide coverage.  Wink
