I think the worst enemy is the bankers, crypto will be the end of banking, as there will be no need for them, thank God for that, The bankers are the biggest criminals in the world.
Everyone here on forum after earning bitcoins converts it into cash by depositing in banks , so banks are actually getting profit from BItcoins, so why would they be enemy to bitcoins .
In my opinions the biggest enemies of bitcoins are the users which misuse the advantage of not disclosing identities , to fund illegal activities.
The government would also become an enemy if they fear that their national currency would die and deny the acceptance of BTC in their country.

Bitcoin's biggest enemy is its own divided community, moving very slowly towards a scalable solution - meanwhile other coins have big dev teams working hard... Something needs to be done, quickly

Bitcoin's enemy is education of users. Most people, especially beginners struggle A LOT with learning how to buy and use Bitcoin. Teaching them how to do so is a major uphill battle. I am afraid if anything leads to the downfall of Bitcoin it would be this.

This is a interesting topic from what I read here everybody is right I would say. Governments will want to tax bitcoin revenues if it continues to get more and more popular, banks and countries will probably end up dreading their own block chain currencies and the people who want control of bitcoin. Of course we are all human and we want to better ourselves and this can lead to greed. It has happened already in Fiat currencies and commodities

HALF OF THE WORLDS WEALTH IS CONTROLED BY 1% OF THE POPULATION

Bitcoin is not immune

You can tell me anything what's bitcoin worst enemy is...

Mine is, government!

I think if there are bitcoin's enemy, it will be the users. We all know that the user's are the most important when it comes to it's value, but even so, the users are the most reason why there are some problems in the blockchain. They  keep clogging it, there are a lot of users so there will be always a massive number of transactions. Good thing bitcoin is still being developed.
I agree to the part where you say users only, I may or may not agree with the rest of your statement. I would instead like to have my own statement which is absolutely different from yours. I agree that it's the people who use bitcoins are the enemies or threat to bitcoin but not all of them just a few of them in fact who use it for illegal activities and for crimes and because of that governments think of regulating and legalizing it by bringing laws which can limit or completely ban the use of bitcoin. There may not be any country which may have banned bitcoin but people using it for crimes or any other illegal activity will definitely be the cause of it being banned by government and hence such people are the biggest enemy of bitcoin.

Off the top of my head, I can think of two distinct potential enemies of Bitcoin.

The first is the government. This could be a huge enemy in that they have, essentially, the power to stop Bitcoin if they wanted to. All they need to do is close down the exchanges, which is where most people trade and it would cripple the entire cryptocurrency industry. This is just one example in a long list of what they could potentially do to interfere with the growth of crypto.

The second enemy could be quantum computing. See, true quantum computing would be able to crack even the most complex cryptography. That is the nature of crypto to begin with. This is why they are able to teleport photons now. Two identical things existing in two different places at the same time. And this technology could be used to crack the passwords or private keys of Bitcoin users... needless to say we would be screwed if that ever happens.

i think bitcoin does not have enemies but bitcoin has a competitor that is altcoin that may be sloppy but it does not matter because the price is still far below bitcoin and i think the enemy is the bitcoin user of their enemy is a hacker stealing their bitcoin and goverment regulatolions thet prohibit bitcoin

In my view scams within Bitcoin and alt coins are one of the biggest enemies. ICOs that are vaporware are a huge enemy. Pump and dump alt coins are a huge enemy. When new users get slaughtered it hurts the overall. In the absence of scams Bitcoin could grow faster be implemented more widely and everyone could make more money

It is the government. Absolutely! Nobody cared about bitcoin and crypto-currencies, in general, for years (!), till the moment when the price become really high. And now all of them (governments) started to move with their regulation and legalization. Just imagine how much extra money they will have in the case of the official regulation of digital currencies! I would prefer bitcoin stay the same wild and not regulated as today, this is much better for my taste.

Well government is never an enemy to Bitcoin. It is just a protective body and always take precautionary steps for well-being of folks.
In my views biggest enemy to Bitcoins are those forces which are trying to be giant (popularly called whales) and making themselves central in Bitcoin ecosystem. Such people can be miners, exchanges or even individuals.
They are creating direct impact of centralisation and diluting the vision of Bitcoin as decentralized.
Increased Bitcoin fees, next time think of miners autonomy first before blaming mempool congestion....  Undecided

Maybe some banks that support bitcoin will someday sell their bitcoin in bulk, I'm sure one day the bitcoin price will run out

Private banks, global banks, corporate banks, governments, capital owners, global share holders are the greates enemies of bitcoin and its ecosystem. They never want to see a free model such as bitcoin on the earth. They can accept bitcoin's free structure spreaded around the globe.

Just itself. Its popularity makes it one of the most highly priced Commodities on the planet that makes it difficult to work its way into normal Commerce. You have to go down so many decimal points that it gets confusing for most people and prices rising so quickly that by the time you leave the house your Bitcoin going to be worth $10 more for you get to the store.

There can be numerous enemies depending on how you look at it, The banks could be in unsafe standing if bitcoin takeover, the users can be the currencies own enemy if they keep inflating and deflation by dumping huge sums. The splits could case problems as well. The government could also be a foe if it tries to centralize or regulate it defeating the main purpose of the currency

Bitcoins worst nightmare would be a crashdown of internet and power.

Honestly, when I read the topic I instantly agreed with the OP and thought that the government really is the biggest enemy. But then upon reading through the thread I concluded that your answer that crash down of electricity is the most reasonable answer. You ate right on this one. How can we even mine and trade btc if we don't have those two key factors? Everything online, btc and alts, will be useless if this will be the case.

I think there is no one who is the enemy of bitcoin. Many people are say Government is the biggest enemy of bitcoin but then enemy is the one who can give damage to that thing and  government can give no damage to bitcoins. All they can do is to not legalize and it will not stop people from using it.

I think it is the current finance system.  We all know that bitcoin is implementing decentralized blockchain technology that is opposed to the current system centralized authority.  Aside from that Bitcoin is created to at least oppose the current banking system and offers us freedom over our money.  With this finance system which is under the government will be expected to counter what Bitcoin is offering or at most regulate bitcoin and implement rules on it forcefully.

Hmm.... To the look,  bitcoin and BANKS are having a big issue with each other, but I think as time goes on they will understand themselves, and if they understand themselves, PAYING OF TAXES will come in when that hahappensthe GOVERNMENT are into bitcoin. Therefore, the worst treat to bitcoin is the GOVERNMENT and the rest follows.
i do not think that there is such a big issue, currently banks are not accepting bitcoin, that is true, but i am sure that when bitcoin will become a legal currency then they will certainly start accepting it, because they will get good fee from it. and it is now becoming the most important currency of the world and the young generation trend is totally toward bitcoin, and we are expecting that this trend will continue for a long long time.

The government has to be on the top of the list because they influence the future of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by deciding their legal presence, then banks are partly enemies and good driver's of crypto coins has they aid easy access to fiat through debit/prepaid cards while some banks see bitcoins as a competitor that needs to be put out before banks are extinct
