Do due diligence
This was a question that I gave much thought to before jumping fully in to bitcoin.
My country proclaims "freedom for the people".
"By the people for the people"....blah blah and so forth.
I would be active in keeping it legal.
I spent many years becoming a law abiding citizen, (it wasn't always an easy transition) maybe a decade in the making so it isn't something I'd give up easily.
Freedom isn't perfect and our execution of democracy sometimes leaves much to be desired.
Bitcoin represents an opportunity for freedom and an exploration of economic independence, the United States should continue to allow that exploration.

If bitcoin is declared as illegal and those who are using it will be labeled criminals then I will stop using bitcoin for sure.  I am covered by my countries law and regulations, it serves as my protection and guidelines as my country's citizen.  I have nothing to do but to obey them else I would need to denounce my citizenship and move to other country where bitcoin is legal.
I think there is truth in what you're doing. of course we live in a country that has rules and laws, when you break it surely you will be subject to fines and penalties. if bitcoin banned in your country then if you force the use bitcoin, maybe you'll go to jail?

Bitcoin in the first place was designed to by-pass government and its snoopy agents from meddling into people's finances and already it is a hugh success. The government and those financial houses that have been feeding fat on people's hard earned money are simply fighting lost battle and it matters very little whatever they choose to call bitcoin, we know its other name is freedom.

Well they can not know that you are using bitcoin.. so if you are just staying in the house and dont use any gadget with bitcoin when you are going to outside in your house it can be safe.. i will still use bitcoin since i investing  in bitcoin i can not sacrifice it.. and they can not trace easily because i am using a proxy with the same place but different region..

This is a tough question to answer. Personally, I would still support Bitcoin and everyone who uses it, even if it was made illegal by my government and was punishable by law. I would not have as much of an involvement with the cryptocurrency, since it would have harsh consequences. The one thing that I wonder would be how the government would enforce the law since Bitcoin is meant to be anonymous and if they would go after every person who still uses it.

Suppose that bitcoin is illegal and I still openly support it, do you think Bitcoin will have value in my country? I think not and it will be hard for my part to convert it to Fiat as no one will have an interest in a currency which is illegal to my country. Also even if I support it don't you think it will be a "game over" for my part? As the government can also stop or ban all the wallets which support cryptocurrency? Its easy for the government to disable us from the use of digital currency.

I think it's highly improbable that government would make btc illegal, I think they would make it expensive for btc owner (lots of taxes) but not illegal.
Anyway I would still use it, I would move to another country.
Really? You will move into other country just to use bitcoins? Are you willing to leave you love ones just to use bitcoins. Government have a low change to ban bitcoins. Government would make bitcoin profitable to them too. They will put a tax on bitcoin or other thing just government will make a profit to bitcoin
I agree.
Well, if not move, I'll find a way to use it anyway, but if the btc businness keeps growing at this rate I'll probably find a country where btc is legal and I can work with it.

Maybe that could happen to a friend. But I think it can not be done for the next 5 years, as the growth of the bitcoin makin in the low stage so it will be very difficult for bitcoin is accepted by most companies or individuals. 5 years is a stage where the bitcoin will show his true identity and after that it will be very many people who immigrate to use bitcoin because it already know the benefits

Why not, governments have some stupid laws, smart person always know what is good and what is bad. I don`t need government to control my mind and tell me what can I do and what I can`t do.
I search a bit for some interesting " government laws", lets check how smart they are:
- It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament.
- The head of any dead whale found on the British coast automatically becomes the property of the King, and the tail of the Queen.
- In France, it is illegal to name a pig Napoleon.
- In Florida, unmarried women who parachute on a Sunday could be jailed.

I will find a way to use bitcoins, just stupid people will fallow whole government laws. They have some very stupid ones, I have my logic of what is good and bad and I`m going with that.

I am aware of some staggeringly stupid laws around the world, but most these are relics of the past kept in books more of an easter eggs type than real law.
Do you actually know the case of someone braking these laws and being prosecuted? I doubt it will happen.

Same with Bitcoin there is zero logic behind putting prohibition on BTC. It will only create Bitcoin related organized underground services and societies.

I'm pretty sure that I would stay using it because its a sort of untraceable and they cannot just forbid using the bitcoin in my eyes this is against the rules too.
I would stay using it and they cannot stop me doing this!

Yes if bitcoin is already illegal and there punishment was so bad I probably would not use it because it would be too risky. But actually bitcoin some countries are not ilegal entirely due to business problems bitcoin can still be used.

People  do really have different  decisions  regarding on this thing. If bitcoin would  be  illegal  here  in my country i would  still use it though  hence  theres a lot of  ways to make  transaction even more anonymous. If your government would   try to monitor your  browsing    you could still always  use tor  with  tweaks in able  not  to be traced  by  your  isp's. As  long  you could able  to hide your self   theres  nothing to worry about.

There is a difference...It's easier to work if there is not much things to care about...When you are doing illegal things you would need to move carefully which I think would start to slow you down on earning...  Smiley Also, if government is going to make bitcoin illegal it won't just monitor your moves, it will also monitor bitcoin movement, including money that is involve in transacting bitcoin... It would be a very difficult life doing the hiding with that, one false move and you're jailed...  Smiley

You have a  point with this .  moving  with a   threat  involved  is somehow  would able  to restrict you  on your   movements  because  every time   you would  really  to do it carefully in able  not  to be  traced  by the government. One false  move then  you  would  be on  jail for sure, in  my  own  opinion with this  i would  rather  select  those  friends that whose  bitcoin  is  not illegal on their country and  i would  pass to them and could able to cash out without risking anything.

That is one of the good idea there since if bitcoin would be illegal in our country well surely be facing some little struggle when we cash out it, but still i think even if this coin becamw illegal i think there still more people gonna use it since we can earn profits for this one and government cannot still trace us out, we are anonymous here and we can still hide our identity so we can get more secured to be caught by the local authorities.
