30-40% is really big, there really is big bad news. I wouldn't consider it a price correction.

When BTC price rise, altcoins price also rise up. This had been happening normally. It would be interesting to know the reason if an altcoin doesn't correct its price too once the BTC price does the price correction. There must be a very special feature, updates, or an announcement for that coin to stay up while others go down.

If btc lost 30% then all market will be doomed
There have been many times bitcoin has lost 30% of its value, but the market still stands and continues to grow.
The cryptocurrency market is very new compared to other financial markets, so it is easy to manipulate and devalue. However, the cryptocurrency market has many fans, so it won't crash.

When bitcoin go up altcoins also follow but those top 20 are the best ones to invest in

If bitcoin loses more than 30% of its price, it will lose nearly $200 billions and it will strongly affect the price of alts. I believe that when this happens, most of altcoins will also drop and create a huge FUDs in the crypto world. But dont worry, it is hard for bitcoin to drop that hard. A correction will only reduce the price of bitcoin to at least 20%

Most likely, this will be so, because usually altcoins copy bitcoin movements, so if the price of bitcoin will start to fall, then most likely the prices of altcoins will also begin to fall, but there are exceptions, so we cannot be 100% sure here.

They would drop even harder, because it's always like that - alts only grow for a fraction of Bitcoin's price, and crash even harder. The 2017 "altcoin season" was an exception, because there was blockchain hype - it can't repeat again, because blockchain lost its novelty. Also, in 2017 retail investors were throwing their money in any altcoins, but today the market is driven by institutional investors who carefully study a coin they want to invest in, so shitcoins have no chance.

Bitcoin isn't always correlated to alts; sometimes Bitcoin takes a slump while alts literally go crazy bullish. Usually, when we have Bitcoin bull runs, once BTC's price stops getting pumped it's time for alts to "shine" again.

Had I always converted BTC into alts post-bull runs and then back to BTC once the alt seasons ended, I would've had way more money today except a few coins that have plumetted since then.

This is a chart of the marketcap dominance of Altcoins specificly, the green spikes represent the strong marketcap dominance of Altcoins / Altcoin Season.
This chart excludes Bitcoin for obvious reasons.

Cryptocurrencies are cyclical of nature and as you can see Altcoins are currently in a totally different cycle then Bitcoin.
Once Bitcoin reaches the top of its current pump, it will enter a different long term cycle and Altcoins get space to grow.

Hi everyone,

I would like to invest on a few ALTs and I would like to know if the BTC corrects by 30 or 40%, will the ALTs also correct?

Thank's  Smiley
There is no assurance, that money could only go to Tether and not with the entire altcoins market. Just like it's only stopping by there and waiting for bitcoin head a little low again then it would be eventually spared and go back to bitcoin. That's always the case whenever bitcoin corrects but this time, it's not that about to show. Which alts are you planning to invest? I'd say that before thinking into alts, be ready and prepare to buy bitcoin.

Well usually if btc start to correct down even alts will also do so, this btc bull has not really favour alts... except for some very few ones, and am afraid this is what will happen, even though many alts did not pump with btc they will also suffer when btc is crashing down.
Bitcoin corrections may never Favour alts again, alt-coiners should evaluate there alt-coin or the alts they one to purchase with the alt-coin market, using Bitcoin now may not be as it was and may be a bad evaluation, for good alt-coiners holder are wooed to sell and buy Bitcoin and if alt-coin keep losing holders then the value will be lost.
