I am glad that more e-commerce companies are starting to allow the use of cryptocurrency to pay. It can be assumed that Amazon and Ebay will develop their own cryptocurrency

Most peoples' answer to this depends on how long they've been in crypto.

If I was a brand new arrival absolutely not. Why would you? There are options that are non volatile and less hassle. Obtaining your crypto would've been a grind.

If you're sitting on a pile of free gains then why not? Time to realise them by buying some junk.

The latter are in a minority so I don't think any such place would thrive. And most of the time the existing places like this charge you more money for the honour of paying with crypto with much worse choice. I'd never take a shittier deal because of some sentimental attachment to my payment method and anyone who does is a numpty.
You make a good point but we all purpose of holding crypto and how earning are not the same so some newbie can still spend some of their holding. However, that doesn't mean the place thrive as you presume cause a lot of project have offer the same service and they didn't but been partner with amazon and eBay should be Ok to make the project thrive and no sentiment should be attached to user payments.

That is right, but I think many people will still do and actually use it to pay for goods and services just for the sheer convenience and ease of it. It is really an easy call for some, especially those who have been so used to using their credits cards. Moneyless transactions have become the norm these days, and for someone who has a substantial amount of Bitcoin to use, especially when its price becomes a tad more stable, it would be easier to use it truly as a currency like it is meant to be used.

I would avoid spending BTC whenever possible, it is deflationary which means it should continue to rise.  If the only currency people used was deflationary the economy would come to a stop.  Inflationary currency does have some benefits with the main one being is that it makes people spend more and encourage economic growth.

Ebay owns paypal so they will never accept a payment method like bitcoin, they would create their own coin before they accepted any of the established ones.  Also I doubt Amazon will ever accept crypto directly but there are a lot of 3rd party services that allow you to buy on Amazon with btc.

Of course, I will love to spend my BTC to buy goods from any kind of shop or e-commerce sites! But I don't think any e-commerce site will start accepting only BTC, rather they would add more payment method. Though Bitcoin transaction fee and speed still not ready to use in a big e-commerce shop like Amazon and eBay. As eBay is planning to take digital currency I think they will start accepting BTC and BTC transaction speed will be improved for good.

I do not why any store will limit buying an item to only btc while they can implement several other means. However, I  will use my btc to buy items from the shop because I use it to purchase items from shops that accept it.

What I'm trying to ask is would you use that type of store with your crpyto (maybe that store accepts more crypto not only BTC) or you see crypto only as an asset that will provide you more fiat money in the future?

Of course I will not hesitate to use my btx to buy some stuffs online with Amazon, etc. As you can see, it is not only an investment but this btc is also use as a crypto online payments. Isn't great if we use our btc in this area? To be honest, I've never tried paying btc online. Oh wait, but I've already used it paying my bills.

I appreciate your opinion. But I'm curious would you say for yourself that at this point of time crypto represents only an asset for you?
I in particular see and equate cryptocurrencies to other currencies like the fiat. While it can serve as a valuable asset, it will also be nice to see it being used outside our crypto wallets as an exchange for goods and services. If we dream of mass adoption, then we must teach the masses how to adopt

Buy, sell and store real cryptocurrencies
For stores that accept payment through cryptocurrencies, trust is an integral part of its acceptance. It's only in trusted sites that you can spend freely without fear or thoughts of loading money. Issues like transaction fees, refunds are all what may affect this process. But if Amazon or eBay comes up with this, it will be well accepted

Nowadays BTC and cryptos are investment for me, I put money and hardware to earn coins and hold as long as I can in my strategy
Maybe in the future I'll spend coins like regular fiat, but it need to be a less taxes system

I'd use it as long as refunds were as easy as with fiat and there were perks included for using BTC. At this point, payment is pretty easy in fiat and I get incentive to use my cards with perks.

If there is an online market platform that accepts cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin then i would definitely spend some of my cryptocurrencies over there. After all that's what many crypto enthusiasts are pushing for "The use of cryptocurrencies to pay for goods and services" and if there is a platform to help with this then i will give my support by spending some cryptocurrencies over there.

No, I don't want to use bitcoin as the payment in that store because I want to save bitcoin for a long time. But if I can get a big profit in one day, maybe I will try to buy some product from that site. I see crypto as an asset and currency at the same time, but I prefer to use crypto as an asset because it is hard to find a local store here. But maybe in the future, there is any local store that wants to accept cryptocurrency.

Catalog Websites
if USDT, TUSD, GUSD and some other coins that fall into the category of the stable currency they acccept as payment then I will use the Application gladly, but if the only Bitcoin they accept as payment then I will not use the application, not without reason I do this because besides Bitcoin there are still many cryptocurrencies whose prices are more stable and not rapidly changing.

I think I would be hesitant to use that platform or store because people who use BTC as a payment method say that the fees are still not at a satisfying level and payment lasts long.

Why not? I am using my crypto in gsmbling sites and trading physical items peer to peer. If like amazon site will use Bitcoin as a payment method it would be better for people who always on there home doing crypto. They can just directly buy on that website without encashing first then buy.

So I can see that most of you would use such a store. But many of you mention that major problem is having a trust in buying with crypto as BTC is non-refundable.

Personally I'm glad to see that majority see BTC as real currency and they are ready to use it as such.

Some of you also mention that you expect that kind of store would have higher prices then the store that accepts only fiat. But if it is a serious store I expect that they have similar prices as amazon, meaning they have their own stock.
