Probably yes, and that might not change for the next bull-bear cycles. Did Satoshi invent the most predictable asset? Haha.

BUT, there’s a small probabilty that the current bull market cycle might be longer simply because money supply is up, and velocity of money is down because the economy is partially closed because of the pandemic. The world might experience high inflation when the economy opens again.

Sounds like a history repeat itself but I do have same opinion and insights if ever the market bull run will going to be over and welcoming bear market trend then it would supposedly last again for three years like what wayback 2017the last bull run end of cryptocurrency occur. It is sad but it is also the reality that we can't tell and predict when this bull run over going to happen, but we do dreaming that the bull run may not be over hoping just a small price correction.

Some said it's gonna be around 3 years long following the past usual cycle of bitcoin but to be honest I don't believe this time around bearish (if any) gonna be that long simply because hedge funds and institutional investors in general that aren't planning to sell their bitcoin anytime soon.
But honestly I'd expect the price of bitcoin to be well above $20K (2017's ATH) if bearish market happen so not really a big deal to me and I could just wait it out for another 3 years until bullrun is coming.

Another best option is gaining knowledge and more about bitcoin or cryptocurrency. It also a good thing you ask here so you're at a good start entering now is a good option and waiting for four or five years to get a big and good income return

Also, Another warning from another. In bitcoin, there is a risk like in stocks or getting into a small business everything is uncertain an addition we or you must always take it lightly when you lose a bit profit trust the process. Also, patience is important when holding a bitcoin or altcoin.

Also if you have money which is extra in your life savings I would also like to suggest while investing maybe you should try bitcoin mining you will take a good income return from mining as others have said that entering now and holding until 3 to 5 years later.

If 2018 - 2020 was a bear moment, a few months is nothing.

Now would be a good time to enter the alt market since their potential gains are much better.a

If you have the ability to hold on for 3 to 5 years, then you don't need to worry much about the time to invest. You can go ahead with your investment plans right now. There may be major corrections in the next one or two years, but given the exceptional growth in acceptability and user base, I am sure that by 2025 or 2026, Bitcoin will be challenging gold in terms of market cap (right now the gold market cap is 11 times that of BTC).

You can speculate all you want, but it's still better to be prepared for what will happen. What we all know is the history of what the price movement is and not the actual forecast. We will never know and cannot predict what can happen in the market. All of the institutional investors that are already there will most likely continue their investments with BTC. When the price is dipping, they can buy more and more. Following the significant movements of companies involved, the small businesses would follow.

It's still best to be firm in what you think will happen and blame yourself for following it accordingly. I think it can be the same as before like you mentioned. It's too early to tell too.

There are no guarantees on how long the bear market will last. Not even 3 or 5 years are considered to be accurate timespan on the duration of the bear market. As of now, we only experience quick or slight corrections before we could experience another bull run. As of this time, I certainly believe the market is now in favor of the bulls because of the continuous adoption of major companies, institutions, etc.
Right. I too believe that this season might be a lot more different than the previous just because of the nature of Investors that have come into Bitcoin Investment and talking about how long the Bear market could last if we decided to witness it soon, that will be left to time and lets see what this with all the new type of investors brought to the Bitcoin or crypto market Unlike previous seasons where the bear market would normally last for 3-4 years.

Nobody can really be sure when is the start of the bear market and how long will it last if ever there can be soon. Now, there can be some tidbits of information from the past bear season, but we know that BTC has the habit of destroying its own historical precedents. People who are afraid of the bear must liquidate their digital assets as soon as possible but this is not a financial advice because even the best man in making predictions can also be wrong many times over. Always trust your guts and if ever your guts can be wrong then you are paying a tuition fee for your education.

The bears are already close. I don’t think more than 1-2 months.

That’s probably the sentiment of many people in Bitcoin because of the new, shiny FUD. I can’t believe it worked. But if a big crash truly came, and sellers take the price to under $50,000, it will just be another golden opportunity to buy. Big Dips are for buying.

The occurence of a bear market cannot be certainly determined because there are a lot of things happening each time that may prolong or may end the current phenomenon. As of now, the market is not yet fully on a bull run, there are still a lot of changes and different movement of price in the market but we can pertain already that most of the cryptocurrencies are somehow doing good. We might witness plenty of corrections at the moment specially in bitcoin since it keeps on getting a new all time high every time and we should take that opportunity to assess the price movement of different coins to make a strategy that will help us on obtaining a lot from such.

Bear market? When?
Maybe I missed something or it is a different market that I look a few hours ago because what I saw is not bearish that OP had mentioned. Because if we look into the market status by now, we are still in the bullish market. Kinda be different when talking about the bear season and I literally understand that all crypto prices went down which is far different from what I saw now.

Well, I think we are just so excited. But don't worry, it will surely arrive soon, just be patient.

It will be a bit premature to talk about the bear market when we are in the middle of the bull rally. If nothing untoward happens, then we will be easily reaching the 6-figure mark before the end of this year. A correction may or may not happen at this point. But even if there is a correction, I don't think that it will last for 2-3 years, like the case we had in 2014 and 2018. I am saying this, because the circumstances have changed. Short-term investors mostly made their exit during the previous two phases of corrections. Those who remain are mostly medium-term and long-term investors, as well as the institutional investors.

No one know when bear market will come or more importantly how long will it last for, it's not like market following some kind of a fixed rule so that traders can take note of and maybe start buying as the bear market expires.

But the thing you can do is to buy when it's cheap enough in your opinion and of course not go all in at once in one price and learn to ladder buys so that it went down more you'd get a better average entry price while increasing your position size, that being said if you're waiting for $3k to happen for Bitcoin again in the next bear market you're probably wasting your time as I believe the Bitcoin bottom price changed to way higher prices and I think $10k is the new $3k.

Can't based on the patterns that the market did before as future speculation. It is not always 100% guarantee to happen again.
There could cycle or something, but still it depends on like what really happens right now.

If bull un will be over in the next months. We'll be enter a bear market with x10 decrease alts price and like x5 decrease in btc.

Is it will last 3 years again till 2024?

the altcoin market will be booming by then for about a year before the whole crypto market transition to bearish that will probably last for 2-3 years.
The last cycle told us that alts will follow BTC very closely, so I don't think alt season will last that long. Probably just two or three months when BTC is in its last run, and after that we'll enter a three year or so bear market. That's the best time to accumulate, but retail will probably get rekt a lot, much more than last time.

OP, I think you have to experience it yourself before you can ride the next wave without worries.

if the 4 year cycle really happens, it will be like this again in 2025. But, is it possible that you are investing in the long term and won't see the price before 2025?

But the thing is the 4 year cycle is yet to be concluded so, if the 4 cycle is really true then we don't have to worry about the market being bearish right now.  It will at least take another 6 months before the bear market for BTC to kick in, and while the BTC market is shifting from Bullish to bearish, the altcoin market will be booming by then for about a year before the whole crypto market transition to bearish that will probably last for 2-3 years.  But then, no one ever know what will happen tomorrow so the best thing is to closely observe the market and its signs and changes.

Well, we have all benefited during the bull market. If you are a seasoned Bitcoin investor, you know that this is not over in Bitcoin as we are only but starting. Based on experience the last bear season lasted from 2018 to 2020 so that is two years. And if I were you, you need to have another source of income while waiting for another good run in a few years. Unless you are a day trader, then there is really nothing you can do once the bear market starts.
