If I could live anywhere, I will choose to live in a free place wherein no need to pay rent anymore. What I mean is, I want to have my own house where I can live happily.

In the history of the USA, there were times that the US Government promoted homesteading... where people would be given land that was owned by the government if they would prove the land up with buildings and farming. The amounts varied at different times, but an amount of land that was standard was 100 acres.

Presently, about one third of USA land is government land. They could give it to people under homestead acts, if they wanted.

Besides the USA, there are lands all over the world that are owned by governments, and could be given to willing citizens. But the governments won't do this. And the reasons are that governments are controlled by the wealthy, and the wealthy get benefit from the people by keeping them in the cities, and making them produce wealth for them. Consider open lands in Canada, Siberia, much of South America, Australia, and others.

Sure, much of the land is harsh land. But the governments could figure out ways to open these lands to people, with methods to farm them, or get other kinds of products out of them... so that people would have some help when they homesteaded the harsh lands.

Besides this, there is seasteading - Seasteading.org.

Cool

Consider Serbia. Not Syria, and not Siberia. Serbia. Beautiful country, and the people are among the most hospitable in the world. It is not in a good place when it comes to economy, but that can work in your favor, since everything is cheap. For example, you can get a great apartment for $200 per month, and it is ridiculously simple to do so. If you work online or have a certain amount put aside, you'll be all set. There is also a lot to see, and you can go anywhere from there. As an American, you also don't need visa, only your passport, and you get to stay 90 days, or more if you get permission. On top of it all, it is extremely safe, as in, young girls wander the empty streets alone at night and nothing happens to them. Check out Charles Cather on YouTube if you wish to learn more, he's an American who lives in Serbia for almost a decade now.

Ever since I saw Richard Branson's episode of MTV cribs I wanted to live on an island like the one he has.  Necker Island is awesome and I suggest you check it out on youtube if you don't know what I'm talking about.
