If I had just 10000$ I will probably buy the top alts in the crypto market. For sure there will be a profit there especially when the bull run comes. Also I will buy bitcoin for the my future to be secured. I will not lose in this type of mindset I guess.
This is really good decision because having 1000 dollars is good for you to invest in crypto currency as price is not very high you will not have to invest so much as price is low. It gives more chances of earning I am sure buying some bitcoin and ETH now and holding only for one of two years you will get your money back as 3000 dollars.

Check out the supply and try to predict it is future market cap in 1-2 years. Try to invest it at the most bottom point you can find.
I agree that is a good strategy in investing your money. Doing some research first is a good start because you will have an overview of the market and you will see the possible altcoin investment that you can try and you should also look at the chart and do some basic technical analysis to make sure that you will be buying at the support and not on near resistance's price.

If i had such an amount on me i would half of it into the investment into cryptocurrencies and invest the other half into a real world business. I know many folks would think this is insane but hey remember you have to invest into crypto an amount of money you can afford to lose and the crypto community is still young. Nobody actually knows the future.

for a crypto user, having $ 10000 is a good thing, especially if he is a crypto investor. of course what I have in mind is buying bitcoin and ethereum. of all types of crypto, both coins are coins that have optimal potential and risk. maybe 50% will be directed there, and the rest to other altcoins like XRP, BCH, and others.

My choice would be BTC and ETH trading via localbitcoins and localetherium (I hope you know how to use them). Just make 4 orders 2 for buying BTC and ETH and two for selling BTC and ETH.
Use 30% of your money in buying few altcoins like LOC (locktrip) this is ever green token. It is always aound 1$ per loc. Now it down to 0.75$ so this is the best time to buy this.
You can also check MHC they are offering good icome via metahash forging. If you can buy 100000 MHC then you can start your own server. If you deposit 1000MHC they will give you 1-2 MHC daily via forging.
I would diversificate the whole 10kUSD on many altcoins (building investment portfolio well diversificated), also I would think about exchange tokens and invest bigger amount in it.
I think you should not allocate $ 10k to too much Altcoin because it makes your profit unoptimized to the maximum, besides your risk of getting compensated so choose one Altcoin numbers to have the potential to list into your portfolio. Well. i would probably do like that:
25% btc 25% ethereum. these ones are small risks
40% neo+waves. these are medium risks with good potential. both can develop good and may be an alternative to ethereum platform in the future.
10% i would risk with pundix + wanchain. higher risk but may bring good return.

If you can afford to lose all that money then, better to invest all of it a crypto-currency.Diversify it to the currencies in which you have a full knowledge about its benefits and advantages compare to others.
Otherwise, just pick a percentage amount that you want to invest in crypto but not all.
Remember, you need to know the currency first before you invest.

The price of Bitcoin is much expensive now and I don't think you have seen the numbers right. You are only limited to $10K, but the way you said it, you might've seen $100K since 20 BTCs cost $106.7K to be exact (http://preev.com/). $10K is a large amount of money for me and I would be making a percentage out of that to investment and building my own business.

Investment's here in cryptocurrency is not only in coins because theres a lot of ICO tokens that doing great now and you can check them in bounty section. What i wanna say here is the opportunity of gathering profit from other side of crypto investing. I will definitely invest in ETH and BTC. I know that my portfolio is quite old and it will not be as profitable as the new altcoins.but now it's different, ETH and BTC are racing to get the highest growth. I expect this growth period to last only for 2 months and the price of BTC will increase to the highest of up to 6k $.

I'll buy 25% BTC 25% ETH and then split the other 50% in the top 10 crypto coins with the higher volume, to keep a balanced portfolio.
But what really matters is to be patience and wait till one of the coins jump x50 or x100 and dont sell too quick, otherwise it would be a waste of time if you sell them for a double or less than x50.
