I have always worked to have money. When it was time, and even on the internet earnings was not, then I have worked hard physically and extracted what I need.
It depends on what desperate situation, I guess. If I had nothing to eat, then probably beg for the day and try to work for the next ones. I would do anything to live. If it's not that desperate tho, I'll work for it the best I can.

Because my friends are telling that either and they are able to commit criminal act such as stealing. So maybe you should enlighten yourself about it, just saying.
Ofcourse doing illegal things for living is not something good, but maybe he did not mean that by saying "i would do anything to live", because he said if he has nothing to eat then he might beg for that day, so that statement does not show any purpose from his to do any illegal things.

Probably if i am in some emergency and i need money that bad and im desperate now in needing money i will apply for some good laons that they offer me good money and small interest of and i will pay that once i get ok and get out in the hospital and i will work hard again to pay that money.

After that, I would've made a safety fund that's only wihdrawable for emergencies and only that. Not having money when you most need it is a horrible situation, so having a safety fund saves you from that.

This is my one option if the bank will not allow me to borrow money to their fund. Then two options left borrowing with my friends or parents and use my saved funds. But I don't really want to use my saved funds for it is used for some specific allocation. And if there are new desperation for money then I will just ask my mom for it.

It's hard as hell to find advantages I also still depend on my salary of saa's parents still less to cover daily needs, sometimes bitcoin can only needs to buy online like pay electricity, pay phone calls ETC.

Personally when I get in a pinch I look for Odd Jobs from people who are within my friend circle. I try to get referrals to people they know to clean their house, or fix something easy, or do some Yard Work. The most basic shit you can think of. People don't want to do easy mindless jobs and will pay really quite well. I find when I ask for a reasonable wage I always get over payed.
You will have to do anything even not things you do not usually do just to have the money you need, that's being practical and we should act accordingly base on the given situation.
