I think the Rich dude deserves to live anyway that he likes as long as his or her style of living doesnt kill anyone. Its not his duty to give money to the less fortunate in society.
The point is that money is limited...
For example... let's say there is a total of $1,000,000 on the planet...
If one person takes $500,000, and another takes $250,000, and a third takes $125,000... 3 people now control 88% of all the money on the planet... leaving the other 7,500,000,000 people to fight over the remaining $125,000 (anyone see Hunger Games?)
This is the current situation...
5 people control HALF the wealth on the PLANETit's the hoarding of money that screws poor peopleWhen one person has so much money they can shit on a solid gold toilet... and an entire country (Yemen) is starving to death because they can't afford to buy food to feed their children... something is FUCKED UP
It's like the new American health care bill the republicans are trying to pass... it will kick 23,000,000 people off health insurance, more than double the insurance costs for elderly and people with pre-existing conditions (which they can't afford so
they will die)... only to give a tax break of $500,000,000,000 to rich fucks who don't need the money
This health care bill WILL kill people for money... period... that's all it is... it's a tax break for rich fucks and people will die because of it... this is what happens when you let greedy fucks have all the money... they only want more money, and don't care who they kill to get it
This is a serious fucking problem
Is money really limited, it is very true that Bill Gates and the rest have half the wealth of the entire world, But he is doing a very good humanitarian job with his foundation, remember he donated half of his wealth some time ago to help the poor and he is doing a great job at that if only the other wealthy guys would follow suit, thats going to be good for the entire world because they aint gonna take the money to their graves when they die.
Money is limitless, if you can have a good idea that people are willing to pay for, you can have all the money you want. The problem with the situation today is that the accumulation of wealth has made the playing field quite uneven. It's fine if they'll play fair but no, you see them doing hostile takeovers, killing off competition that won't agree to a buy out, and lobbying for preferential treatment.
Money is limited... not by numbers, but by value/buying power
You can always create more money, but it devalues the money which is already in circulation...
If there is $1,000,000,000 in the whole world... a cheeseburger might costs $1... but if the money supply doubled, so would the cost of a cheeseburger...
If there is $10,000,000,000, a cheeseburger would cost $10... that's just how it works
It's not about the amount of dollars you have, it's about the % of the total you own
If 5 people hoard 50% of the money... the rest of the 7,500,000,000 people have to fight over the other 50% (but prices are double because half of the money supply is being hoarded)... and since prices are double, it hurts poor people the most, who spend their entire income just to provide food for their families... food they buy from the rich people, making them even richer
It's a vicious cycle... which is normally solved by high taxes on the rich... but here in 'Murica, the effective tax rate on wealthy has dropped from 35% to 15% since 1980... wealthy people have stopped paying taxes (like Donald Drumphf)
